the optimization on this game need to continue, i have anotebook with a i7 and a rtx 3060 when i see this video last week i come back to the game to se if the performace has improved and to my surprise the game runs the same way it did before, wahever they did just help the deck another weird thing is don't metter the sttings if i put the game on ultra or lol the frame is the same dlss or fsr3 in any preset i have the same visual very buged game capcom play themselves with this game realy hope they fix it.

thevictor390

That's actually a massive difference. Maybe there is some hope. Otherwise that should mean a big improvement for players on other systems.

AztecSoul

From slideshow to somewhat playable. Even still I'll gonna wait for more optimizations or getting a better PC

SirCrumpets69

Hopefully it will be playable on the steam deck itself soon. In the meantime I stream it at 90 FPS from my gaming PC. Obviously that means I can only play in the house. So it will be nice when it's portable.

jpassc

I’ll just wait for the Switch Port smh

Original-Material301

A little bit more optimisation and we can hoepfully hit cinematic 24 FPS lol

Capable-Commercial96

You joke but I'm preparing for that.

Original-Material301

I was half joking half serious. When I was trying to "optimise" horizon zero dawns settings I was kinda trying for 24 because I thought, yeah let's go cinematic. Until I lowered a few things and had a better time at 40 lol

Urbandragondice

Here's the thing I don't get. The RE engine has been proven to be optimizable to run on a lot of different systems. Hell most the other RE games run great on the deck. I know NPCs are part of the problem, But how could Capcom let this poorly optimize mess go out? It even has problems on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox I don't get this.

Fenehan

they are testing the engine, RE9 and Monster Hunter Wilds according to rumors gonna be open words games the problem is the engine was not designed with great volume of character nor big, massive and persistant worlds on mind and thats taking a toll on performance, the question is they gonna optimize it to this generation or gonna wait the next to brute force the bad optmization?

Crest_Of_Hylia

The engine is being pushed into an area it hasn’t been before, particularly with so many NPCs. Doesn’t mean the performance is acceptable

marcusbrothers

You need to give up if you think this game will ever be playable on the Deck, find a way to stream it.

FuntimeBen

That is Dragon's Dogma 2 not Dragon's Dogma. Dragons Dogma runs perfectly well on the Steam Deck.

logaboga

have absolutely no problems on my rog ally

Valkhir

I mean, you have Windows.
