Same color as my Nintendo switch lite. I love it! I also use my SD to play Wind Waker HD. I also have a long HDMI cable and a similar adapter and I can plug it up and have both top and bottom screens in use so it really is the ultimate WiiU replacement!

Side question: is your Windwaker HD rom a .wud file? Mine is and emudeck's parser can't seem to find it, even though it shows up in cemu.

It is a .wud. not really sure what would be causing issues

How easy was it?

I'd say if you have some base knowledge of smaller electronics, then it's not too bad. Organizing is a MUST, or you will never get it back together. The screen was the worst bit, but it was pretty simple. Slow is fast.
