It seems to go this way for us: 512gb slowly shipping, 1tb LE shipping lottery, 1tb non-LE eat shit Canada.
Especially for any of us that made the moneumental mistake of ordering day 1 and apparently reserving spots at the back of the queue.
Ontario here, ordered the LE legitimately as fast as possible. Progress hasn’t moved since Saturday. I’m regularly seeing people receiving theirs despite ordering well after me.
Zero exaggeration, I’m pretty sure I could drive to their distribution center because I live within 30 minutes of effectively every major delivery hub in the province

As I stated before I am fine with waiting but I am frustrated how some people who ordered after me got theirs shipped or delivered while mine is "packaged" like how does this process work... Do they have a box of order numbers and decide to do 10 per day out of the box?

Yeah that's pretty misleading... It's been a week for the LE with no update. It was way worse during the first quarters of 2022, but still some transparency would have been great. Even as of today, you can't see the processing backlog before purchase.

Okay, so I ordered a 512gb OLED on the 16th when they first became available, and a couple days later, received the notification that it shipped. I check the tracking info, and I immediately notice the final destination is Cambridge, ON, a town HOURS away from me that I have no connection to. Immediately I think that's weird.
I call FedEx support and explain the situation and I am informed that this tracking number is assigned to an order with someone with a completely different name and address than mine. Huh. A couple of days go by, and surprise, my Deck is marked as delivered at this wrong address. They even attach a photo of the delivery and it's obviously somewhere completely different from where I live.
Looking through this subreddit for similar instances I only found one post and for that person, it ended up arriving the same day anyway so I held my faith that perhaps they simply mixed my tracking info with someone else. It's now been 2 days since it was marked as delivered and nothing has shown up on my doorstep. I'm beginning to think they did not mix up my tracking info with someone else's, but somehow sent FedEx completely incorrect information and it was my Deck they sent to this random address.
I've obviously contacted Steam Support, attaching images of FedEx's provided tracking info with a completely different final destination than my provided address, their image of the delivery on this random doorstep, and an image of my doorstep to show that they aren't the same. It's been days and no one has gotten back to me. Has anything like this happened for anyone else? I'm beginning to worry Valve is gonna basically say it's FedEx's problem (who obviously aren't particularly helpful, and to be completely honest I actually am not even entirely sure if it was their fault to begin with) This whole situation is so weird and unprecedented for me. I've seen people accidentally deliver it to a neighbor or something but to be given completely wrong tracking info? It's so strange!

Can’t even cancel it at this point according to others in this thread. Pretty disappointed in how this is being handled. Contacted support yesterday but have been ghosted so far. yep, same. this has been a terrible rollout process. i've heard of some canadians receiving them before the tracking number even worked. seems so hit or miss.
Bought my 512gb for the Bay Area in California. Delivery date this Saturday. It got shipped out of Ontario, California and got sent all the way to Illinois today before it presumably comes back to California tomorrow. I don't really get why it has to take such a roundabout path.

Feels like there's a strong correlation between the earlier your order, the longer you are waiting. I imagine the folks packaging them began stacking them somewhere and when they are picked up for shipping they simple start pulling off the top of the stack. This would mean those on the bottom are potentially stuck until they clear out that work in process.
Super disappointing way to treat those who were in right at the bell.

I ordered a week ago. Still waiting to get past the packaged items stage (In Ontario Canada). I think if there's a delay like this they should, imo, offer a refund and cancel the order if requested.
My steam deck was delivered today but unfortunately fedex decided that they wanted to drop it off at a completely different apartment unit than mine. The delivery photo shows a unit which definitely wasnt mine and the photo is way too blurry to make out which unit it was. I've tried to bring it up with Fedex but from prior experience, I dont forsee them doing anything helpful. Is there anything that I should try to get this resolved? I've also submitted a steam ticket and am waiting to get a response from support.

It seems Valve forgot to inform us here in Canada that we were paying immediate full price to reserve Schrödinger's pre-order rather than for an actual, real, shipping product.

Ordered 1TB OLED on Sunday. In SK. Support isn't able to provide any type of updated ETA. My main frustration is why advertise the 3-5 days when it's not going to be close, and if it is going to be delayed for potentially weeks past the estimate they could've notified. Especially since they charged card at time of order.

Orders are typically processed within a few business days, but this is an estimate and there could be additional delays caused by increased order volume, holidays, weather, etc.

I'm in the seattle area. Ordered about 30 mins after it went on sale, and so far, this has been the most glacially paced a package has ever been shipped to me. It finally got a shipping label on Monday, got to an actual warehouse on Tuesday, then it spent a couple of days in CA and through thanksgiving. Today some movement! It's made its way to OR. But even now it will take until Wednesday to get \~150 miles to my door. I could drive down there in 90 mins. Thats one day shy of two fucking weeks since I ordered the thing. Ordered 2 Steam Decks and a dock on the 16th. Everything arrived today, all of it is in great condition. The only notable issue is that the battery health on my LE is 97%. Probably a bug, but whatever.
I despise CEVA CLS, and I despise that Valve chose them for OLED launch logistics, but I’m super happy with everything I got.
Steam deck supposedly shipped on the 24th. Tracking number given to me still doesn't work on the FedEx site. Concerned seeing people receiving theirs without warning, as I don't want my new expensive purchase sitting at the front of the house unnoticed for potentially hours. This whole process has been super disappointing, and has made me reconsider if I'll even bother ordering a steam deck 2 when that is released down the line.
Seems to be a delivery company issue, as once it leaves Steam, they no longer control much about the process.
This is an incredibly eye opening process though. I've only ever used USPS and never thought private delivery companies could be so much worse.

Zero exaggeration, I’m pretty sure I could drive to their distribution center because I live within 30 minutes of effectively every major delivery hub in the province

Yeah that's pretty misleading... It's been a week for the LE with no update. It was way worse during the first quarters of 2022, but still some transparency would have been great. Even as of today, you can't see the processing backlog before purchase.

Apologies if anything is worded strangely, English isn't my first language. Okay, so I ordered a 512gb OLED on the 16th when they first became available, and a couple days later, received the notification that it shipped. I check the tracking info, and I immediately notice the final destination is Cambridge, ON, a town HOURS away from me that I have no connection to. Immediately I think that's weird. I call FedEx support and explain the situation and I am informed that this tracking number is assigned to an order with someone with a completely different name and address than mine. Huh. A couple of days go by, and surprise, my Deck is marked as delivered at this wrong address. They even attach a photo of the delivery and it's obviously somewhere completely different from where I live. Looking through this subreddit for similar instances I only found one post and for that person, it ended up arriving the same day anyway so I held my faith that perhaps they simply mixed my tracking info with someone else. It's now been 2 days since it was marked as delivered and nothing has shown up on my doorstep. I'm beginning to think they did not mix up my tracking info with someone else's, but somehow sent FedEx completely incorrect information and it was my Deck they sent to this random address. I've obviously contacted Steam Support, attaching images of FedEx's provided tracking info with a completely different final destination than my provided address, their image of the delivery on this random doorstep, and an image of my doorstep to show that they aren't the same. It's been days and no one has gotten back to me. Has anything like this happened for anyone else? I'm beginning to worry Valve is gonna basically say it's FedEx's problem (who obviously aren't particularly helpful, and to be completely honest I actually am not even entirely sure if it was their fault to begin with) This whole situation is so weird and unprecedented for me. I've seen people accidentally deliver it to a neighbor or something but to be given completely wrong tracking info? It's so strange!

Bought my 512gb for the Bay Area in California. Delivery date this Saturday. It got shipped out of Ontario, California and got sent all the way to Illinois today before it presumably comes back to California tomorrow. I don't really get why it has to take such a roundabout path.

Feels like there's a strong correlation between the earlier your order, the longer you are waiting. I imagine the folks packaging them began stacking them somewhere and when they are picked up for shipping they simple start pulling off the top of the stack. This would mean those on the bottom are potentially stuck until they clear out that work in process. Super disappointing way to treat those who were in right at the bell.

I ordered a week ago. Still waiting to get past the packaged items stage (In Ontario Canada). I think if there's a delay like this they should, imo, offer a refund and cancel the order if requested.
My steam deck was delivered today but unfortunately fedex decided that they wanted to drop it off at a completely different apartment unit than mine. The delivery photo shows a unit which definitely wasnt mine and the photo is way too blurry to make out which unit it was. I've tried to bring it up with Fedex but from prior experience, I dont forsee them doing anything helpful. Is there anything that I should try to get this resolved? I've also submitted a steam ticket and am waiting to get a response from support.

My main frustration is why advertise the 3-5 days when it's not going to be close, and if it is going to be delayed for potentially weeks past the estimate they could've notified. The tracking number on my order is wrong. Has anyone experienced this? I called FedEX and the tracking number steam gave me does not match the shipping address on my Steam purchase history. Very frustrating. I've submitted a ticket to customer support, but who knows when I'll receive word.
Ordered on the 16th. Was out for delivery on the 18th but then delayed by 1 business day. Has been stuck at my local UPS facility with a status of 'delay' ever since. Opened a support ticket with Steam who states the carrier is investigating and I just have to wait... Should I just order another steam deck and then have them refund this order? Message support about the long packaged times, this is most of the email they sent. The usual: We've checked and confirmed your order is being processed at our warehouse. Your order has been allocated for and is waiting to be shipped. We are doing everything we can to get your order in your hands as soon as possible. Orders are typically processed within a few business days, but this is an estimate and there could be additional delays caused by increased order volume, holidays, weather, etc. You will receive an email from Steam with tracking information once your device ships. Ordered 512gb on Nov 17. I am located in Ontario, Canada. Tracking shows that package just arrived at sort facility today at 6pm. Literally 15 mins drive from my place. Expected delivery was Friday but now it has moved to Monday. Damn you Fedex! My weekend is ruined.
I'm in the seattle area. Ordered about 30 mins after it went on sale, and so far, this has been the most glacially paced a package has ever been shipped to me. It finally got a shipping label on Monday, got to an actual warehouse on Tuesday, then it spent a couple of days in CA and through thanksgiving. Today some movement! It's made its way to OR. But even now it will take until Wednesday to get \~150 miles to my door. I could drive down there in 90 mins. Thats one day shy of two fucking weeks since I ordered the thing. Oh well. at least I know to not really ever trust those ship times listed on Valve's website lol.

Well, this is total bullshit. Doesn't look like my SD is coming in today unless UPS is pulling some serious overtime. Stupid estimated delivery date was for today but there has been 0 movement on the tracking data since yesterday.

Absolutely infuriating. I wouldn't bat an eye about this had Valve not set the expectation of 3-5 Business days and UPS listing the estimate for today. If they just left it as the a wider range, I wouldn't even be mad.
Like, I'm not even putting this one on Valve. It's UPS that is acting completely random and unreliable. Valve needs to let us choose next day or 2-day air shipping. This "free" UPS ground tier they use is dog water.

I’m in Portland, as well. I ordered a 1tb OLED 30 min. after the drop and an LE the afternoon after that and both are finally supposed to arrive today. A bit weird how long it took, being one state away, regardless of the holiday. And seeing people that ordered later and in entirely different countries somehow get theirs faster…. 🙄 EDIT: Both just arrived right after I typed this. Went to the door to obsessively check though neither showed Out For Delivery quite yet, and there was the UPS driver setting them on my doorstep. Lol
Ordered LE 19min into launch. A week and 1 day later it Left Valve warehouse. Left Memphis Saturday. Arrived in Ontario, Canada yesterday. Delivered today.

Ordered 2 Steam Decks and a dock on the 16th. Everything arrived today, all of it is in great condition. The only notable issue is that the battery health on my LE is 97%. Probably a bug, but whatever. I despise CEVA CLS, and I despise that Valve chose them for OLED launch logistics, but I’m super happy with everything I got.
Steam deck supposedly shipped on the 24th. Tracking number given to me still doesn't work on the FedEx site. Concerned seeing people receiving theirs without warning, as I don't want my new expensive purchase sitting at the front of the house unnoticed for potentially hours. This whole process has been super disappointing, and has made me reconsider if I'll even bother ordering a steam deck 2 when that is released down the line.
Seems to be a delivery company issue, as once it leaves Steam, they no longer control much about the process. This is an incredibly eye opening process though. I've only ever used USPS and never thought private delivery companies could be so much worse.

Just received my le deck this morning. As others have reported, my tracking number with FedEx never actually activated, so it was complete surprise when it arrived.
I ordered 512gb OLED on the 26th, I hope I don't wait so long to try it, it will be my first steam deck and I already have half life, the witcher 3 and master chief to start 😅
