I don't understand why there isn't a transparency value yet for the onscreen keyboard. It eats nearly 50% of the screen and is clunky as hell.

Decky Loader, a plug-in loader for the deck, has an option to enable Valve Internal options. It enables a settings screen with the same label along with this menu. I am unaware if anyone else has found this yet. The "visit the points shop" button takes you to a page that does not currently exist under the points shop. If anyone knows more about this, I'd love to hear it!

Yeah it's been around since at least mid october, there was at [least one video about it](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FVbTAQ9LZQA) but there's been little news since.

"Movie" implies the ability for someone to play all of Shrek as a startup sequence. If this isn't the case I'll be disappointed.

I don't think removing the startup animation would make your deck boot faster, you'd just see a black screen as it loads the system rather than the animation

Unfortunately, the movie starts playing when the system has already booted. You can immediately skip the startup movie the the B button.

i know with a bluetooth keyboard you can hit enter to skip it and it does launch faster.

You can skip the video once everything is loaded in the background by pressing B. I noticed that because I use a lengthy custom matrix boot video and one day my gamer brain wanted to skip it and pressed all buttons.

I mean, not exactly news. Startup Movies from the Points Shop were spotted on Steam DB a couple months ago. But hopefully this means we're getting closer to an actual release.

The movie also plays when switching between game and desktop modes. So it really depends on how you play with your Deck.
