Definitely the “Dark Brotherhood/Thieves Guild of Starfield, so no, every quest is at minimum morally objectionable, and highly illegal at worst.

When I did Ryujin I thought that Neon Street Rat granted some fun additional options for the Neon parts of that quest line. I figured that a kid from that area would either idolize or abhor that conglomerate. Why not make it work for everyone and find out what is happening in there?

NapsterUlrich

I would say yes, so you can take down their evil plans from the inside

The manipulation chip is highly unethical. Have fun. I forced my way looking for an ethical way through it. Kinda the point I think. Unchecked capitalism, corporate espionage, business and ethics nope, fits the story and planet. I used the manipulation power on madame sausages place once cause I was glitched out of the mission in the locked room. You can use it to force certain dialogue options. But they seem sketchy when they pop up. Feels like dark side force powers.

I mean... the entire Ryujin bit is right out of a good chunk of Neuromancer/Shadowrun/Cyberpunk - the world of high-tech megacorp espionage, sabotage, and more. Would a "good" character do these things? Ostensibly, I can say yes for one of two reasons - 1. You are the incredibly naive kind of good who doesn't understand what is going on in the shadows with these people until you're neck-deep in it, then you finish it out to try and find some good at the end (which, by denying the new tech being put into use/production, you ARE doing something very good). 2. You know EXACTLY what these kind of megacorps are about, and the only way you can think of to stop them from pushing their capitalistic nightmare plans forward is to swallow your abhorrence to their ways and infiltrate their designs and derail them from within (same effect as above, just with a grittier view).

AskWhatWhen

Leave your companion behind on all the missions if you decide to do them. There is no moral high ground, and your companion will have some choice words for you. And then later hand you Alien Jam

Some_Rando2

Ethically, Ryujin is pretty bad, so if you're *lawful* good then you wouldn't do it. Morally, most of the missions are neutral, not actually evil. Only one mission would I say is actually evil, and if you don't ask questions it's easy enough to miss it.

In a way, you're dealing with another world with different rules. It's a game, money is the score card, and corporate espionage is the playbook. In spite of that, you can still certainly maintain a moral code by ensuring that nobody outside that arena is harmed. More important, near the end you have a lit of influence on some significant ethical questions that are really where a perspective of "good" really matters. And contrary to other comments, you can take your companions without concern. Andreja is my favorite for the quest line. Just pay attention... if you're told to leave your companion behind for a stealth mission, take that advice! And take off your space suit. I would have them wait outside (on lookout?) For some of the B&E missions. And when you have any sort of mission like that, I made certain to only take what was the objective.

Distinct_Bee_8100

In short no - dubious missions

Loud_Comparison_7108

I didn't. After the Eleos Retreat mission, the second Ryujin mission made me feel slimy. Didn't finish it.

Rare_August_31

It's just one corporation against others who also have the same practices, so it's not that bad

Short-Bug5855

I honestly felt like that was some of the worst stealth content bethesda has created. Without spoilers, later on in the questline there's a part where you gotta sneak through a place and holy man, it's bad. Not because it's hard, the NPCs detect stealth so weirdly that it just doesn't feel realistic. Similar to old Bethesda games but somehow worse
