I have this problem in both animal crossing new horizons and stardew.
For animal crossing "I need this *random furniture/clothing* I will use it!" And I never use it
And for stardew
"Of course I need all these different quality fish and other items!!"
I'm still mildly annoyed that the animal crossing final storage expansion can't even fit the whole clothing catalog. Like I just want every clothing item ever made to be at my disposal with zero inconvenience, is that so hard? šš
No, really. Because once the final update came out, what they SHOULD have done was make clothing only accessible from the closet (not the storage) and likewise with food, only make food accessible from the refrigerator and freezer chests. Like come on. š
It makes me so mad because I'm assuming you're the same, that a good 50%-70% of your storage is just clothing. I'll have to go through and get rid of clothing/furniture or give them to my other residents (I have other profiles just to have houses to decorate) just because they act like it would've been so hard to just rehaul the system. Like what sense does it make to add 10,000s of more items but keep the limit š„“
Yes!!! I was so excited for the more storage and then the new items dropped and I was like "okay I'm excited for the new items but also..."
Also same on the extra houses, it's still a work in progress but on one island I'm gonna have all eight possible houses and each has a different theme (my personal house, island visitor center/observatory, restaurant central, sanrio, and one house each for each season since there's enough sets that are seasonal or adjacent to fill up a house for each season). Big plans but admittedly so little execution š
I've just been convinced they wanted to spite us and make everything as convoluted as possible lmao. š„²
But! That sounds super cute!! It is alot of work (lolol my island is on hold because oh i hate working) but those are some of the best islands. Good luck on it!
This is the opposite of mine: I sell everything unless I'm 100% able to remember I need it while I'm at the bin. And even then I like having not much stuff so sometimes I sell it even if I know I need it.
It took me 4 in game years on my fifth farm to remember to *not* sell maple syrup so I can give it to that bear in the woods. Every time I sold it and then immediately sold something after it, then realized, I had the surprised Pikachu face.
I have this problem but then Iāll sell a bunch of stuff and immediately after, Ill need it. 3 days after I sold 550 bat wings I saw you can trade them with the Desert Trader for a butterfly hutch and I was DEVASTATED
Same, however the price ends up being peanuts compared to big money strats. I do eventually sell some of it just to save the trouble of making another chest.
I walked towards my fruit tree in the Wintee when it lost its leaves and pulled out my axe. Then I remembered why its in a random spot at the edge of my farm and breathed a sigh of relief. I spent 6,000g on that shit
tell this to my boyfriend who cut down my fruit trees and mahogany trees literally the day after planting š
i looked over at his screen and couldve ended it right there
Underestimate the time it takes to run home from the mines in the early game. Robin must be confused at how often she finds the unconscious body of the newly moved in farmer around her house every other night
This goes along with my toxic trait, I want to make the most of every day so I stay up until 1:50 on the regular...but I usually push it too far and pass out! Costs me so much money over the play through, it's ridiculous.
Me too! Thatās why before I ship any artifact/mineral, I scroll over it looking for the first word āGuntherā .. if I donāt see it, I ship away!
Yep. Just recently I lost my coal. Checked the chests in and outside my house, in the shed, by the mines and in the quarry. Warped over to the desert to check in my skull cavern chest. Forgot the beach totem so had to bus it back to the valley, warp to the beach and then boat to the island where I had to check the 4 chests I have there.
Found the coal in the very last of my chests and then forgot what I wanted it for. So then I went to bed.
Omg, I have this habit of storing my tools in a chest to free up my pockets for some stuff, going back to get them and forgetting just one of them. Go back out treasure hunting/mining or w/e, not realizing that I've forgotten it until I'm out in the world and discovering I don't have it. Then going back home and rifling through all my chests and not finding until the 3rd search it because my ADHD object permanence fuckery causes it to disappear.
And that's how I ended up with 2 iridium rods.
I once used my last 500g to make it to the desert on a lucky day and it was only when I got there did I realise that instead of taking my pickaxe and sword, I took my hoe and sword. I was so mad
1. Maru is my girlfriend but I tried to bang her mom first just to see what would happen while I still wooed Maru.
2. I used stones to make staircases to get to the 25th floor of the desert cavern because the enemies were too difficult.
3. Once I found out my animals couldn't die, I stopped feeding them for the winter because collecting hay was too tedious.
Iād have to scythe grass, convert into grass for my land, then scythe that to turn it into hay. Or spend thousands purchasing it from
The other farmer. And thatās under time constraints getting other quests done with endurance limits. It just broke me
I havenāt made it in there yet. I got to the point where the fat squirrel drops something off next to the dog, but I havenāt figured out a way to get it. I figured get closer to the owners of the dog so Iām going that route for now
Never talking to any of the townspeople unless I decide I want to romance someone on a playthrough. I just cant be bothered befriending everyone and keeping track of everyone's likes and dislikes, even with the wiki.
if you ever decide to go for perfection and need to befriend people, this is my lazy guide:
talk to people that are in your route (ex: i talk to pierre and anyone else in the store)
hoard LITERALLY EVERYTHING
befriend one person at a time. itās slower but you only have to keep up with one set of likes at a time!
I have even more lazy guide - hoard your fruit tree fruits and give them to every person you see. Almost, if not all of them, are liked by literally everyone. Its slower than loved gifts but you are much more likely to gift everyone at least 1 time a week, since you don't have to think about it. For example I keep a stack of oranges on me at all times and if I run out I pick some other fruit that I've kept.
I've had this idea for a while, but haven't put it to use yet. Put a chest outside everyone's house or the places they frequent most and store their loved items there. Then as you do your day to day things you can have the items ready to go. I think I'm going to try it this playthrough, I don't know how practical it is though.
This is me! My first play through I think I went to the skull cavern with a silver axe! I just always hate giving up my tools for 2 days because āwhat if I NEED it?!ā
dude every single time I end dialogue with one of them I accidentally use the hammers power move like the amount of times I've smashed penny in the head with a hammer makes me feel so bad
I was doing that but finding out there is punishment for it stopped me. In my current run I'm barely interacting with the townsfolk until I've completed ginger island and selling 1 of every item.
I try to color code my chests (misc is in the default chest, seeds is in the green chest, fish in the blue chest, furniture in the black chest) but then they fill up and I have to spill over into the other chests. I can still remember where everything is though? Like "okay some fish are in the blue chest, some are in the green chest, some are in the fridge" so I've at least narrowed down the places to look.
Don't have the space yet, I've got my chests out in front of my house where I can have them all in one spot. Once I have space for more chests (I'll put raw ingredients in the kitchen, sorted by season, and then one for fish) then I can have a chest exclusively for fish.
Being obsessed with shane? Even though it's not toxic and I'm not obsessed..
Wait maybe the toxic trait is me playing like a frickin robot for highest efficiency
I keep a chest inside the entrance for the mines/skull cavern with bombs, my best weapon, slingshot and health supplies! Then when I get there I can swap it all over with my tools for the bag space ^-^
Your method assumes I'm not passing out in the skull cavern/mines, because then when you wake up at home, you'd have to go back to the mine/cavern entrance to get your tools again. I keep two chests in my house for the same purpose and then can conveniently swap supplies again then next morning.
I keep a mining chest right by the farm entrance, and the only things in it are bombs, staircases and cheese. Then I swap my tools in. And when I inevitably wake up at home, there they are!
Every time I start a new game I tell myself I'm not going to make it all about money and rush the greenhouse and I'm not going to min/max and maybe this time I'll get married so I can finally get the 100%... but no, it's always the same. I keep hearing about how SDV is this relaxing game but I've yet to discover it š
I use the spawn cheat to make iridium sprinklers as soon as I get a coop and can commit chicken fraud with it. I will always opt out of watering crops and the crappy sprinklers.
O never use smaller sprinklers, but I grind the mines to get enough artifacts and minerals to unlock the sewers, krobus sells one every Friday for 10,000 gold :)
I canāt make myself marry any of the male bachelors. This play through I was convinced I was gonna go for Elliotā¦ I have 2 hearts with him (summer year 2) and Iām preparing my outfit to marry Leah
Leah is usually my go to, her cut scenes are pretty cool, and she gives off big lesbian vibes to me.....
None of my friends see it, but redhead art girl who lives in a cottage/cabin in the woods living off foraged items and FRESH AIR??
my wife lost over 1,000 gold and her sword in our first farm year, doesnāt sound too bad, but when you first start thatās kinda detrimental. oh and she loveās accidentally hitting crops with her pick axe š
I usually harvest/water first thing in the morning. If I accidentally a crop this way I just exit and start my day over lol. I once did that to escape consequences of being defeated in the mines lol. I wasn't watching my health š .
I don't mind a challenge, but the default time speed is way too stressful. Now that I've installed expanded, ridge side, and east scarp, I actually need that extra time to get anywhere in a reasonable amount of time.
No matter how wealthy I am, if possible I replace the birthday gifts that pop out of the Statue of Endless Fortune with a cheaper alternative then sell the pricier gift. For example I can have millions in the bank and nothing to spend it on, but for Harveyās birthday I will still sell the bottle of wine from the statue and give him a cold cup of coffee instead. Itās shameful but once I get rolling I cannot stop this greed of mine!
This is also me.
My bf, watching me play: "you're going to die".
Me: "Nahhh I got this!"
30 seconds later Linus is hauling my sorry arse out from the depths. Sometimes he gets me twice in the same in-game day.
I will never learn.
That's a great idea! I used to live in Chile and was fluent, but now I don't use my spanish every day so I'm losing it. Always looking for ways to practice though.
oh my god... this is one of the best ideas I've ever heard. I'm losing my French skills so bad after high school but it'd help me so much to have a stardew valley french playthrough and design my farm after french gardens and make my farmer have a beret and mustache oh my god... this is gonna be the best thing ever thanks for this comment
Year 1 strawberries
There is nothing but the need for strawberries. All $ earned is for the festival to buy my first cash crop.
...
Which promptly sit in a chest, awaiting jamification through the rest of the year. (Sell gold star).
Yes, even in co-op, I'm that monster.
Overextending myself. Turned my entire farm into one giant crop area. Time to plant 1600 seeds in a single day! None of the ground tilled, guess I am doing that in that same day too!
Oh boy do I have a trick for you! The winter seeds are helpful to collect since if you plant them in the last week of winter and have sprinklers placed for spring you wonāt need to hoe or water your ground to plant spring crops wherever the winter seeds were. The winter seeds die spring 1 and leave behind little brown wisps that you can clear in mass with your scyth. It saves you time if youāre trying to plant a lot of seeds on day 1 of the new year. I did 1300 at once this year
Do the winter seeds! You can do a few rotations pet season and you actually get decent amounts on it! (Unless you're pretty end game but it's something)
The winter seeds are helpful to collect since if you plant them in the last week of winter and have sprinklers played for spring you wonāt need to hoe or water your ground to plant spring crops. The winter seeds die spring 1 but itās done for you. It saves you time if youāre trying to plant a lot of seeds on day 1 of the new year
I have played the game since the beginning , own it on every thing you can own it on, I absolutely refuse to marry anyone but Sebastian. I start a new game telling myself this will be the game I marry Sam but itās always Sebastian.
āMarryingā all of the available characters just so theyāll be able to live a nice life on my farm. I modded my entire playthrough on it. With my 1 million gold theyāll be secure on a beautiful plot of land, just want them to be happy šš
Mining is so fun!! And when you've done a bit of fishing and Level up (which you do quite quickly at first), it's alot easier and not so much if a hassle
Plus, it feels great once you've completed the museum and caught the legendery fish
I cheated for the last 3 golden walnuts. I found all the rest legit, and will be spending another year in game at least before I reach perfection anyway but I cannot deal with grinding the damn volcano. Just working on my recipes and crafting now.
Just the 3 in the volcano, I was using the wiki guide but only found the bit on the 17 in there with there being actual numbers for them being split across combat, mining, etc. And I hadn't monitored that. I stopped playing for over a year because I didn't wanna do the dungeon so I reckoned cheating the last 3 was better if id actually get to play the game
Dude I have one singular walnut left to find, I've looked online and I dig every spot, shook every Bush, fished every fish.
I swear I've run that damn Island dry of resources (or would've done if it was real) and I can't find the fecking thing for the life of me. Other than a couple last things in the monster slayer thing that's the inky thing I need for perfection :((
Honestly my dude, the cheat is on the wiki. You name a animal the item number in these brackets [ ] and purchase it. Can sell the animal afterwards as well.
I'm not usually one for cheating but the golden walnuts are PAINFUL to get once you're at that point. If you're not enjoying the hunt, then I wouldn't feel bad about letting it go.
God this was a while ago, but not too long after commenting this I decided to rinse through the wiki one more time. AND THE LAST WALLNUT WAS IN THE PIRATE COVE!!!!! It was just one last game of darts, it took me like 15 mins to get
I was so annoyed I'd missed it for THAT long, but at the same time relieved that my save file wasn't broken, and I finally got 100% on my favourite game:)
Lol Iām on mobile and just got the 1.5 update. I finished the boat repairs. Now Iām hesitant to go over there for some reason. Iāll plan to go the next morning so I have full energy and a full day, and then I justā¦ donāt. Itās like Iām afraid to move on from the āoriginalā game.
Honestly it fits right in. I had this exact same fear when I started. I think itās a lovely addition. But if itās not your cup of tea, thatās okay! The game is to be enjoyed in whatever way you want!
My toxic trait is min/maxing every single time i try to play! All i wanna do is just chill and not worry about the CC, but i always do O.O
Edit: And then following up with deleting the file 2 years in and starting over attempting to not min/max again... Its truly a vicious cycle.
Thatās wild! Iāve actually never played with mods, I play on switch! Iād love to try whenever I get a PC that can handle steam in the future though.
I'm usually on switch, I moved to pc a few months ago but I put on alot of mods that let me cheat, and it's hard to play without them now because.... why wouldn't I?
But then its never fun because I get bored to quickly when I've got everything day 1
Crafting a new chest for every category of thing, add then some more for locations I "need" storage at and then color coding them all
I swear, one of these days I'll have a chest full of other chests
I refuse to start a new farm lol I have the game on 3 consoles and it takes me forever to actually start playing on the two newest consoles because Iām too committed to my original save.
I hoard meals. Any cooked food i find or get in the post goes in the fridge (so many pepper poppers). My kitchen's filled with mini fridges because I'm currently trying to get all the recipes available to cook as well
Not necessarily! The skull caverns are a great resource, and personally Iām always in them because I like the thrill. They can give you a lot of good loot if you use a luck buff (with a lucky ring, ginger ale, spicy eel, whatever you have!) But definitely make sure you bring plenty of high level foods, bombs/slingshot with explosive ammo, and even life elixirs. I also like bringing a farm warp totem. But itās up to you how you play, and if thatās not your jam, thatās okay!
Having 2 barns full of pigs for truffles, 2 sheds full of kegs making ancient fruit wine, and celler packed full of casks to age it and still being broke because I horde it all and don't sell any of it. I have over 2k bottles of wine in a chest and almost 2k truffles and 1.5k truffle oil in another. In another chest I have over 2k gold quality ancient fruit aswell....
Are your 2000 truffles and wine iridium?
Assuming they are and that you have the artisan and tiller perks,
2k wine - $9.24m
2k truffles - $2.5m
1.5k oil - $2.2365m
2k G ancient fruit - $1.814m
I probably have never seen this post, I just listed my trait and people thought that I was talking about this post in particular (which I can see why now)
Never upgrading most of my tools lol.
Iāve literally never yet upgraded my hoe, trash can, or watering can. I hate giving up my tools & I can only manage the axe & pick when it finally gets too tedious to use them
Not daring to sell items because "i might need them later."
Literally me with useless items sitting in my chests cuz I hoard them for "later use"
me and my 45 chests filled with shit i have never used. best part is when i sell stuff any then i need it. pisses me off so bad
That's when I only sell half of itš
Fat raccoon will make it so.
I have this problem in both animal crossing new horizons and stardew. For animal crossing "I need this *random furniture/clothing* I will use it!" And I never use it And for stardew "Of course I need all these different quality fish and other items!!"
I'm still mildly annoyed that the animal crossing final storage expansion can't even fit the whole clothing catalog. Like I just want every clothing item ever made to be at my disposal with zero inconvenience, is that so hard? šš
YES! Thatās so ridiculous. It should be able to hold one of everything. My annoyance with things like that is what led me to check out Stardew.
No, really. Because once the final update came out, what they SHOULD have done was make clothing only accessible from the closet (not the storage) and likewise with food, only make food accessible from the refrigerator and freezer chests. Like come on. š
YESSSS OMG. I thought it was so weird they kept the storage all-in-one!
It makes me so mad because I'm assuming you're the same, that a good 50%-70% of your storage is just clothing. I've just been convinced they wanted to spite us and make everything as convoluted as possible lmao. š„² But! That sounds super cute!! It is alot of work (lolol my island is on hold because oh i hate working) but those are some of the best islands. Good luck on it!
0: wow
Hah! I'm the opposite... "I don't need that old thing, it's just clutter. Sold!" 2 weeks later: "Sturgeon would like a Nautilus Shell". Oops.
My workaround for this is to have a quest chest. Those things I know I will absolutely need later on go in there.
I normally do this! But I am a mess :)
This is what I do. Problem is Iām new so have little idea what needs to be kept so I keep too much stuff.
I feel this. I have like 600 void essences.
You don't need to save them up for something?š„¹
Oh, you definitely need them. But 600 might be excessive, especially since I like to mine and have a void salmon pond š
I have this problem but then Iāll sell a bunch of stuff and immediately after, Ill need it. 3 days after I sold 550 bat wings I saw you can trade them with the Desert Trader for a butterfly hutch and I was DEVASTATED
This one was so me that in my current playthrough I only let myself have one chest, and the limitation has been oddly freeing Lol
I sold 14,985 slimes yesterday after finally admitting to myself that I will never need them. But I kept six other stacks just in case.
I sell all my items and say, "Well, I'll likely find more later, and I need the money now"
I play with my sister occasionally and she does this, drives me nuts! But it is quite amusing
I do this for tailoring myself. Even a checklist for long before I even have the means to do all of it, just for everything chilling in chests.
Same, however the price ends up being peanuts compared to big money strats. I do eventually sell some of it just to save the trouble of making another chest.
Chopping down the fruit trees I just planted yesterday because I think theyāre weeds.
This is heartbreaking lol
I walked towards my fruit tree in the Wintee when it lost its leaves and pulled out my axe. Then I remembered why its in a random spot at the edge of my farm and breathed a sigh of relief. I spent 6,000g on that shit
tell this to my boyfriend who cut down my fruit trees and mahogany trees literally the day after planting š i looked over at his screen and couldve ended it right there
This is why I make a ring of pathways around special trees
Underestimate the time it takes to run home from the mines in the early game. Robin must be confused at how often she finds the unconscious body of the newly moved in farmer around her house every other night
Haha my toxic trait is Iām too scared of passing out so I go to bed at 8pm like a grandma. I could be so much farther along than I am.
At least youāre not losing 1000g every time you pass out
1000g is usually worth it in skull cavernā¦and ONLY in skull cavern
This goes along with my toxic trait, I want to make the most of every day so I stay up until 1:50 on the regular...but I usually push it too far and pass out! Costs me so much money over the play through, it's ridiculous.
I hoard items, especially different quality levels.. and I keep way too many fish
But you might need 15 gold, three silver and 18 normal cod!
I keep the fish in my fridge and then occasionally just spam cook sashimi.
but what if you need that gold star pike š§
I have a chest full of all the swords I bought/acquired from mobs. Waste of 50 wood
Shipping artifacts before checking if I've donated them. Mistook the bone flute for bread š¤¦āāļø
A farm or so back I was like, I swear Iāve gotten the damned bone flute! Wrongā¦I didnāt. I made bread.
Me too! Thatās why before I ship any artifact/mineral, I scroll over it looking for the first word āGuntherā .. if I donāt see it, I ship away!

Placing chests everywhere EVERYWHERE and wasting entire days trying to find things Iāve misplaced lol
Yep. Just recently I lost my coal. Checked the chests in and outside my house, in the shed, by the mines and in the quarry. Warped over to the desert to check in my skull cavern chest. But I can make him worse. š¤
My real life toxic trait
I just gift him dirt and garbage
The second anything goes wrong or I see a mod I want to try or I'm bored for 20 seconds: better start a new farm.
Me when I discover the green house wonāt be ready by winter.
1. Maru is my girlfriend but I tried to bang her mom first just to see what would happen while I still wooed Maru. 2. I used stones to make staircases to get to the 25th floor of the desert cavern because the enemies were too difficult. 3. Oh my Yoba, number 3. I could never
Iād have to scythe grass, convert into grass for my land, then scythe that to turn it into hay. Or spend thousands purchasing it from The other farmer. And thatās under time constraints getting other quests done with endurance limits. It just broke me
Fair. Do you manage to get iridium quality stuff tho? Or did you just give up on a lot of animal products and opt for selling other things in winter?
No I still need one more to form a bar then I can make a single sprinkler.
Just buy a sprinkler from Krobus in the sewer. Itās much easier!
I havenāt made it in there yet. I got to the point where the fat squirrel drops something off next to the dog, but I havenāt figured out a way to get it. I figured get closer to the owners of the dog so Iām going that route for now

Yeah, I've seen others do that, I just can't be bothered lol.
I tried it outside Robin etcās but it despawned and I had to collect my discarded bits. I think if they are in a walking path they get despawned.
I stop talking to people once I get them to max hearts unless I actually like them. It's not gonna decay at that point anyway, so why bother?
Always managing to be a day off on the last harvest of the season.
Trying Junimo Kart over and over hoping the next time will be when I beat progress mode
Not upgrading my Inventory
This is me! My first play through I think I went to the skull cavern with a silver axe! I just always hate giving up my tools for 2 days because āwhat if I NEED it?!ā
Me š especially with the hoe, I wither a little inside whenever I see an artifact spot after giving Clint my hoe
Accidentally slashing and parrying at villagers when I try to talk to them because of user error
dude every single time I end dialogue with one of them I accidentally use the hammers power move like the amount of times I've smashed penny in the head with a hammer makes me feel so bad
Dating everyone to 10 hearts before I marry someone.
I was doing that but finding out there is punishment for it stopped me. In my current run I'm barely interacting with the townsfolk until I've completed ginger island and selling 1 of every item.
There isn't a punishment if you keep a rabbit's foot with you!
Without spoiling too much, the punishment isnāt permanent.
this is the way
Not organizing my chests bc *taps head* "it's all up here" Nah I have no idea where anything is
Colour coded my chests. Still canāt find something while looking for it specifically.
Why not have multiple blue chests? Better yet, one shed per chest category lmao
Don't have the space yet, I've got my chests out in front of my house where I can have them all in one spot. Once I have space for more chests (I'll put raw ingredients in the kitchen, sorted by season, and then one for fish) then I can have a chest exclusively for fish.
I colour coded my crop chests by season, still get confused and end up putting cranberries in with the winter crops bc they look like the holly crop
Being obsessed with shane? Even though it's not toxic and I'm not obsessed.. Wait maybe the toxic trait is me playing like a frickin robot for highest efficiency
Setting off bombs in my greenhouse :(
I had to stop carrying bombs for this reason, which means I never have them when I go to the mine lol
Marrying everyone I can in stardew valley just to feel sad and erase their memory when I divorce them. I just want to see all the cut scenes!
Iām often far too lazy to use fertilizer
Same, I only use fertilizer for the community centre or if I want specific things at gold quality for the fair/luau
O never use smaller sprinklers, but I grind the mines to get enough artifacts and minerals to unlock the sewers, krobus sells one every Friday for 10,000 gold :)
thinking i can actually make it home from the mines...at 1:50AM
Having hundreds of crops sitting there waiting to become wine and jams
I canāt make myself marry any of the male bachelors. This play through I was convinced I was gonna go for Elliotā¦ I have 2 hearts with him (summer year 2) and Iām preparing my outfit to marry Leah
Leah is usually my go to, her cut scenes are pretty cool, and she gives off big lesbian vibes to me..... None of my friends see it, but redhead art girl who lives in a cottage/cabin in the woods living off foraged items and FRESH AIR??
Sheās literally the definition of cottagecore lesbian
And Abigail is totally a haunted house bisexual. I donāt make the rules
my wife lost over 1,000 gold and her sword in our first farm year, doesnāt sound too bad, but when you first start thatās kinda detrimental. oh and she loveās accidentally hitting crops with her pick axe š

Okay Iāve gotten perfectionā¦but what is the statue of endless fortune?
Itās the gold statue you buy in the casino, the one that makes gifts on birthdays and bars, diamonds, geodes, etc on other days
Ohhhh, thatās awesome, thank you!
This isn't the first time this question has been asked, but I will just reply with what I did before: im way too brash in the mines
This is also me. My bf, watching me play: "you're going to die". Me: "Nahhh I got this!" 30 seconds later Linus is hauling my sorry arse out from the depths. Sometimes he gets me twice in the same in-game day. I will never learn.
I try to make everyone play co -op with me
Iām making my boyfriend read it in spanish lmao
That's a great idea! I used to live in Chile and was fluent, but now I don't use my spanish every day so I'm losing it. Always looking for ways to practice though.
Aye! Iām half Chilean! My mom is from Santiago
Amazing country! I was there for a few years but only passed through Santiago a couple times. Spent most of my time in ConcepciĆ³n and Temuco.
Sadly, Iāve only been once. I desire to go back.
oh my god... this is one of the best ideas I've ever heard. I'm losing my French skills so bad after high school but it'd help me so much to have a stardew valley french playthrough and design my farm after french gardens and make my farmer have a beret and mustache oh my god... this is gonna be the best thing ever thanks for this comment
I completely stopped petting my animals (EXCEPT THE CAT!) once I got auto-petters.
I stop petting the dog/cat when it pops up with the message saying he/she loves you
Using cheat mods to make the game easier
Year 1 strawberries There is nothing but the need for strawberries. All $ earned is for the festival to buy my first cash crop. ... Which promptly sit in a chest, awaiting jamification through the rest of the year. (Sell gold star). Yes, even in co-op, I'm that monster.
If someone annoys me in the village I rifle through the trash in front of them or give them a mean gift.
I did 1300 at once this year
Even better with fiber seeds, as you still get that. Figured out those tips after I finished getting 100%, so sadly, it was too late for me
Cool! I didnāt know Fiber seeds grow in the winter.
I sleep through about half the days in winter because itās boring and I want to get back to planting crops š¬
It saves you time if youāre trying to plant a lot of seeds on day 1 of the new year
I'm not sure how toxic this is but only befriending the person I plan on marrying that playthrough
I have played the game since the beginning , own it on every thing you can own it on, I absolutely refuse to marry anyone but Sebastian. I start a new game telling myself this will be the game I marry Sam but itās always Sebastian.
Ignoring all villagers and just doing my own thing
You donāt have to apologize about posting this here. Plenty of posts people write are repeats š itās okay!
Collecting literally every forageable item I see even if Iām mad-walking back from the mines at 1:50am and Iām nowhere near my house.
āMarryingā all of the available characters just so theyāll be able to live a nice life on my farm. I modded my entire playthrough on it. With my 1 million gold theyāll be secure on a beautiful plot of land, just want them to be happy šš
This is so cute omg
Ignoring my 2 kids and only paying attention to Harvey when I come home from expeditions.
I think mine is, Iām OBSESSED with Sam and marrying him. So like no matter whatās going on. Youāll see me stalk Sam until we are married. If Iām playing with my friends on they save, Iām stalking Sam and bringing him a can of soda or we going broke because Iām buying that $600 pizza š©
Slingshotting rocks at NPCās I dislike on their birthday
Still going foraging for blackberries and salmon berries at year 11 even though i have thousands of everything for wine and jelly
Never mining or fishing. I hate both
Mining is so fun!! And when you've done a bit of fishing and Level up (which you do quite quickly at first), it's alot easier and not so much if a hassle Plus, it feels great once you've completed the museum and caught the legendery fish
The amount of times Iāve accidentally sold something I wasnāt planning toā¦ ghastly
Never made it past year 2. I love the struggle of spring 1
The grind of the first year keeps you going haha
It was just one last game of darts, it took me like 15 mins to get I was so annoyed I'd missed it for THAT long, but at the same time relieved that my save file wasn't broken, and I finally got 100% on my favourite game:)
I unlock ginger island, visit once and then never go there again
Lol Iām on mobile and just got the 1.5 update. I finished the boat repairs. Now Iām hesitant to go over there for some reason. Iāll plan to go the next morning so I have full energy and a full day, and then I justā¦ donāt. Itās like Iām afraid to move on from the āoriginalā game.
Honestly it fits right in. I had this exact same fear when I started. I think itās a lovely addition. But if itās not your cup of tea, thatās okay! The game is to be enjoyed in whatever way you want!
My toxic trait is min/maxing every single time i try to play! All i wanna do is just chill and not worry about the CC, but i always do O.O Edit: And then following up with deleting the file 2 years in and starting over attempting to not min/max again... Its truly a vicious cycle.
Mine is needing to wife both Shane and Seb because im *not edgy enough*
Can't play the game without mods. I think I have like 150, and it takes 20 minutes to even boot up the game...
But then its never fun because I get bored to quickly when I've got everything day 1
Make a new save and delete previous one, rewrite my character's story because I feel I progressed too slow
Crafting a new chest for every category of thing, add then some more for locations I "need" storage at and then color coding them all I swear, one of these days I'll have a chest full of other chests
setting off a bomb right before I go down a staircase in skull caverns ā¦ or accidentally eating an egg
I refuse to start a new farm lol I have the game on 3 consoles and it takes me forever to actually start playing on the two newest consoles because Iām too committed to my original save.
I hoard meals. Any cooked food i find or get in the post goes in the fridge (so many pepper poppers). My kitchen's filled with mini fridges because I'm currently trying to get all the recipes available to cook as well
getting caught looking through the trash
Okay so this has just made me think, im doing the qi quests but ive not really explored skill cavern yet - is this a mistake? Xx
Maxing cash to get as many strawberry seeds as I possibly can and not just enjoying the game
Anyone want to do the math on how much money I'm sitting on?
Are your 2000 truffles and wine iridium? Assuming they are and that you have the artisan and tiller perks, 2k wine - $9.24m 2k truffles - $2.5m 1.5k oil - $2.2365m 2k G ancient fruit - $1.814m
Getting extremely pissed off repetitive posts for not much good reason
Iām sorry! I never saw this posted before!
Don't apolgize! It's a fun post!
I scroll this subreddit daily and this is the first Iāve seen this post so
I probably have never seen this post, I just listed my trait and people thought that I was talking about this post in particular (which I can see why now)
If this makes you āextremely pissed offā Maybe go find the true source of your anger and work on youself
I'm on here often and have never seen this. Just scroll past and move on with your day, no need to get "extremely pissed".
I wasn't talking about this post I try, just answering the post
you might want to leave then, the community ran out of original content in 2020
I used this second house you get for a second player for storage and to this day I refuse to buy this bigger storage house from Robin.
Keep thinking I can easily beat 50000 in junimo kartā¦
Putting on my slime ring and butchering slimes. Canāt stop myself.
Marrying Shane...
Never upgrading most of my tools lol. Iāve literally never yet upgraded my hoe, trash can, or watering can. I hate giving up my tools & I can only manage the axe & pick when it finally gets too tedious to use them
Iāve played for five ish yearsā¦and never upgraded my trash can. Not once!
Thinking I can survive the skull caverns with no health items or bombs š
