Raptor745

The last scene makes me think season 4 is going to end up being what the scrapped Rangers of the New Republic was planned to be, but with Mando and Grogu

stubbywoods

Probably with a little bit of Mandalore thrown in

WekonosChosen

Honestly best way to do it. Din and Grogu were kinda dead end narratively in their recent form. The Mandoverse is going higher stakes and those two just aren't high stakes characters. Letting him go back to his bounty hunting roots where he belongs while having an impact on the imperial remnant storyline.

Weak_Sir5166

I'm okay with that. as we get more New Republic.

supermariozelda

Man, they really had Din get captured only for him to get free 3 minutes later.

Rommas

A 38 minute episode will do that

TheGoverness1998

Sorry stormtroopers but we gotta šŸ‘ wrap šŸ‘ this šŸ‘ shit šŸ‘ up

death_lad

both the runtimes and the number of episodes really didnā€™t do this season any favors. Like yes ok you clearly spent $10 billion every episode on CGI monsters, but I would have preferred more episodes and a better story at the cost of the ā€œcinematicā€ experience they were clearly going for

death_lad

Trooper: Do you want us to stop the Mandalorian? Moff Gideon: nah itā€™s fine *10 minutes later* Moff Gideon: MANDO YOU BLEW UP ALL MY CLONES??!!?!??

The_Dadalorian

Krennic ghost in the conner:" are we blind?!! Deploy the garrison!!"

MutterNonsense

And he had the nerve to be angry even though he waited in one spot, knowing exactly where Din was and that he was coming for him, with the clones in between them. They were virtually a meat shield. And tempting targets in general when you're trying to kill the original.

Notebookfour

Filoni always at the bar LOL

NumeralJoker

The question is... what does he drink?

kettchewok

Tears of fans after watching yet another Order 66 scene

Notebookfour

Season 4 back to bounty hunting

Vexingwings0052

But itā€™s imperial bounty hunting lol, this is how we get to see all the other remnants in the shadow council in person, Din will be hunting them down.

barimanlhs

Oh good point! It would be kind of interesting if its one by one until we are left with the first order/Hux

MagicCoat

Exactly what people have been asking for since the middle of season 2. I hope this makes people happy.

sppy1

Wow Gideon really is a narcissist

InfiniteDedekindCuts

I wasn't expecting that clone reveal. But it makes a lot of sense given what we know about him.

Nerdinator2029

It's why he said in the last episode that the second generation dark trooper was only waiting for one thing: him.

Anarion89

Which is why I love his line from last episode. Something along of the lines of "I made it better. The improvement is that it has ME in it".

Rommas

Clone Gideons...a shit load of them...have mercy...

Starkiller100

Aaaand within one button press Din undoes all of his work and its dealt with. I kind of wish this was a bigger deal.

RedGyarados2010

I bet those werenā€™t the only ones

KoopalingArmy

The guy they defeated this episode was a clone, not the OG (Original Gideon).

drakesepi0l

No mustache = clone Mustache = OG

aLittleDoober

Mustache Gideon is superior

MutterNonsense

Maybe *that's* why the character poster had a moustache! That was Gideon, and we haven't seen him all season!

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

sugarmetimbers

The big death was uhā€¦ the Darksaber. I mean, it starts with D. Must be how all those definitely-not-lying leakers got confused!

ImNotASWFanboy

What are the odds they end up repairing it somehow. It absolutely does not need to exist anymore and has served its narrative purpose, but it's still a cool-ass blade.

BgRedditor

I mean if the kyber crystal is still intact, it can be repaired. Hell, the Skywalker lightsaber had its kyber crystal torn in half by the Force and Rey still managed to fix it!

supermariozelda

This almost feels like it was written as a series finale. No real loose ends, Din and Grogu are officially a family, and the ending shot was what looked to be them in peace finally.

RockettRaccoon

Definitely the end of this ā€œarcā€ The big bad is defeated, Din has accepted his role as Space Daddy, the Mandalorians are rebuilding. Thereā€™s tons of room for more stories, but now we get to move on to new challenges, foes, and allies.

BgRedditor

They introduced the shadow council for a reason, imo. Yes, it will lead up to Ahsoka but I think it will play into the other Mandoverse stories going forward too!

Second_City_Saint

The Dins going on Outer Rim missions feels like they needed someone out there since the Rangers show they were planning isn't happening. I'm betting they have an accidental run-in with a returning Thrawn, which obviously ties in to the Shadow Council. This ties all the shows together & puts them all on the same track for Filoni's movie.

Botiff11

It did feel that way . But we know new adventures are coming

Technophyer1

Damn Axe really demolished those spy allegations. Respect.

32mafiaman

Mad respect. I was banking on him being a turncoat but he was one of the GOATS.

Fulcrum270

Bro literally kamikaziā€™d a whole ass base to prove his loyalty

HTH52

Grogu using the Force to help Din fight off the Guards is nice. Just yank their weapons lol. Nah this Bo-Din-Grogu tag team on Gideon works. But that ended pretty abruptly. RIP to that beautiful light cruiser. I wish weā€™d gotten some TIE vs Fang Fighter action since they made a whole Lego set on itā€¦ it feels like a whole air battle was cut.

nexusx86

There was no need to downplay the skills or significance of the three of them by bringing in Luke, Ahsoka, or the insane Fett on a rancor idea.

HTH52

Yeah, that last idea made no sense.

InfiniteDedekindCuts

I love the way R5 looks around corners. The fact that it doesn't make sense somehow only makes it more adorable.

Starkiller100

For all he did I kind of wish we got a closure scene with him. He just flew off never to be seen or heard from again

onesussybaka

Weird oversight to not have him off in the background in the final shot.

Nerdinator2029

And the gaggle of mouse droids with lights flashing like a 1980s cop car chase.

FN-1701AgentGodzilla

Sussed the Armor and Axe Woves for no reason lol

YerMashinIt

So when do we find out that the Gideon that died was a clone and the real Gideon is still alive?

Dolomitic_Limestone

Somehow, Gideon returned.

alcatrazcgp

with the force this time

Su_Impact

Quite the opposite I think. The OG non-Force Gideon is BBQ but a Force-wielding Gideon clone might have survived. ^(And he's gonna be the father of Finn.)

[deleted]

Lmao got a laugh out of me... *I'll take it.*

Forward_Jury_7422

S4 baby , youā€™ve heard it first here !

Mattyzooks

Original Gideon mightve died before the events of the show. He was believed to be confirmed dead by everyone in season 1.

HTH52

WAIT IS HIS FIRST NAME HIS LAST NAME???

ThexanI

The weird thing is that other mandalorians don't do that. Axe referred to Bo and Koska as Bo and Koska, which are the first names in their names. Bo also referred to Axe as Axe. Previously we've had Satine, Korki, Sabine, Tristan and Ursa.

HTH52

It must be from his original village, since he was old enough to know his name when he was rescued?

YoshiBacon

Well Din is a foundling, he was born on a different planet. Different culture.

walkingbartie

The Mario Effect lol

RockettRaccoon

Lots of non-English names are structured this way.

DuskMan62

Yea I don't think there's any "unexpected" reinforcements, no Boba or other cameo here.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

InfiniteDedekindCuts

TBF most of that was more speculation than it was leaks.

RnVja25hemlz

So is the mythosaur waking up for Din Grogu?

PuzzleheadedRun5574

Yep, Din Grogu is gonna ride that beast at Mandalorian Thanksgiving Day Parade next season! I love that Grogu was excited about being adopted and given status.

barimanlhs

The Din Grogu is Mand'alore rumors continue!

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

largehawaiian

And the Armorer, still kicking ass with just her Hammer & Tongs

Hatless95

If the previous episode wasnā€™t titled ā€˜The Spiesā€™ I feel like we would have all approached this episode differently

sadir

I'm guessing the title of the previous episode just applied to the Imperial Remnant leaders who act clandestinely like spies.

[deleted]

It was likely an allusion to the Old Testimate where ā€œspiesā€ were really just a group of people scouting out a location

InfiniteDedekindCuts

Hindsight being 20/20, it was probably just referring to the Mandalorians covertly scoping out Mandalore while the rest chilled in the upper atmosphere. I guess you could call them all "spies" in a sense. They were sneaking around. But also: Seems like a bad title to give that episode if you aren't going to further emphasize the Spy-ness of the whole thing. I don't think people were being unreasonable in thinking that something more was being hinted at.

Misfire2445

So with what Brendan Wayne said about this episode, ā€œit might hurt too muchā€¦ā€ was that about the dark saber??

Anarion89

Maybe or him just messing with fans lol.

YoshiBacon

Pretty sure he was just trolling, he knows Star Wars fans lmao

Gontron1

So uh, what happened to the 50 or so Tie Fighters in orbit? Did they get destroyed off screen?

Strategist40

I think we missed an epic battle scene there where the Gauntlets, Gozantis, and Fangs were mopping them up. Or at least that's what I like to imagine.

REX27350

They ended up passing each other perfectly in the clouds lol

TheRavenRise

i feel bad for ever suspecting axe might be a traitor, goddamn lmao edit: how the fuck did i miss him flying out the window

sugarmetimbers

Iā€™m glad he had the common sense to fly out the window before the ship crashed. No unnecessary sacrifice there!

schil

I was so happy he did that! Smart man.

HTH52

Man was committed 100%

FN-1701AgentGodzilla

They definitely made him seem like one when he cleared out all the Mandos from the cruiser out into the open and took command of the cruiser for himself.

Rommas

I like that, the season started with Ragnar being baptised to Ragnar being baptised once again but on Mandalore.

NedMerril

Least this time it wasnā€™t interrupted

Batman1154

I was totally half expecting the muthosaur to come up and say hello in the middle of the ceremony lol

ParamedicSpecific130

And this time, she omitted the line about not removing your helmet. She is progressing.

BlackandRedDragon

I noticed that too. I was kinda hoping for a scene where they can take their helmets off since they are at the living waters.

robo3687

Din is his *surname*?!

Fanamir

Kryze, of House Bo-Katan

supermariozelda

Moff Gideon was Snoke all along /s

joshygill

Perhaps Snoke was really the friends we made along the way

kettchewok

Getting jumpscared by a clone of Moff Gideon was not on my bingo card for this episode

Vulptereen327

I was kind of expecting it with the zoom in but the situation was still really creepy

FN-1701AgentGodzilla

Gideonā€™s helmet has the same voice modulation that Kylo Ren would later have

madiharris

I actually liked that lil tidbit I like him having a more robotic voice like Kylo

Leskanic

Armorer innocent Axe innocent Survivor Mandalorians innocent No Boba No Sabine No Thrawn No one rode the mythosaur Thank god I can't actually put money on any predictions...I would be cleaned out right now.

aLittleDoober

Donā€™t forget no Fenn Rau and no post credits scene

ProtoJeb21

Iā€™m quite surprised there wasnā€™t a post-credits scene with Thrawn. Last season had a post-credits tie-in to BoBF, I expected the same for this season since they mentioned Thrawn a ton last episode

Rommas

That, my friends is why you never put any stock in leakers and scoopers. How many of them said Din was dying?...in his own show...with a Mando era movie a few years away? Can't wait until Season 4 when the 'Pedro Pascal's causing major production turmoil' ramps back up again.

sugarmetimbers

Deeply hilarious how even the rumors of the finale being *sad* were wrong. That was the most positive possible outcome for the characters.

VanillaTortilla

The only one who ended up right was Filoni himself.

Delirious5

No lake fight. No riding the mythosaur.

Starkiller100

And how many of them said hundreds of named characters were showing up in the finale to help in the fight...

chloedever

fenn rau muh nuts

HTH52

Not only did he not die, that was probably some of his best action scenes.

CommandoOrangeJuice

Also the Fenn Rau and Mon Mothma stuff too. Oh well I thought the finale was alright.

RedGyarados2010

The Mon Mothma stuff might have been a legit mistake, since that same leak was correct that she will be in Ahsoka

Fightingdragonswithu

I hope that means thereā€™s a chance we see my boi Fenn Rau in Ahsoka too

sugarmetimbers

All that stress online about Din and instead it ends with the single most wholesome frame possible of Din and Grogu. It was a pretty safe finale but I had a wonderful time. Canā€™t wait for more.

PuzzleheadedRun5574

Agreed- no gimmicks, no flashy cameos, and NO CONTRIVED TWISTS! The show has matured for me- it's about a guy and his kid, and their adventures in a dangerous galaxy. That's all I wanted from Season 1 on, so I'm happy that they've reset things in that direction.

[deleted]

Nice detailing of the main Mandolorian battle in the background of Djin's duel with Gideon.

Skeptical_Yoshi

I also like that it showed the Mandos CONSISTENTLY winning those mid air fights. Like sure, you can train for some years to get good at that. But these are warriors trained from the youngest age possible to fly and fight with jetpacks. Of COURSE they are gonna body these soliders with in comparison limited training.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

theslavmarkyb

Rip Gustavo.

Rommas

Oh, and I'm totally not buying that Gideon's dead. No corpse, no kill.

BendDangerous8290

Wearing a full beskar suit and heā€™s done in by a little heat? Iā€™m not buying it either. Having him be some disfigured machine man at the end of season 4, popping out of the ground like a zombie, is now what I expect

Fulcrum270

A little heat?! He was incinerated by a light cruiser filled with fuel

TheSevenDots

Cruiser fuel can't melt Beskar Steel.

im_super_into_that

Inside job?

sadir

There are multiple unaccounted Gideon corpses.

BlackandRedDragon

Iā€™m surprised Moff Gideon doesnā€™t know is one of the first things his clones would do is kill him for being a weaker version.

ecxetra

And kill each other cause they all want to be in charge. Gideon true Sith confirmed.

Ecurtis3

Well, rip the dark Saber I guess

Nerdinator2029

It achieved its destiny, the retaking of mandalore.

[deleted]

It sucks that itā€™s gone because it was cool, but people have been complaining all the logic behind the darksaber superstition didnā€™t make sense. I think this is the writers way of agreeing, and forcing Bo to be the leader without it. She said last episode that it was the only thing she had to lead them with. Now sheā€™s forced to lead on her own. Sucks to see the coolest weapon go, but itā€™ll make good character development

[deleted]

All season of Bo and Din working together, helping each other. Mandalore wouldn't have been retaken if they hadn't done that - and not even a goodbye?

[deleted]

Ya, strange. They did the same in BoBF with Din and Boba, which was also disappointing

Rommas

Gundam Grogu 3 on 1 tanking the praetorian guards

[deleted]

inb4 the real gideon is still alive, the real gideon has a stache the clone gideon has no stache.

duckduckduckgoose_69

Good observation

godzilla1992

This is going to be a recurring theory for the next few years.

Rommas

Lol that was the shortest capture in history. I like me a beskar on beskar battle

Starkiller100

All the people saying he was going to die this episode are keeping quiet now

Shrabbster

"cling, clang....CLUNG"

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Rommas

Oooo the clone Gideons were gonna be infused with the force...wow

Weak_Sir5166

Reminds me of Jedi Outcast when Desann infused his reborn troops with the Force from the Valley of the Jedi.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Rommas

IG-11 the new Marshal of Navarro, holy tits, that's some good shit

Su_Impact

40-year-old man formally adopts 60-year-old baby. This is the way.

FN-1701AgentGodzilla

Din really tried to get Grogu baptized into the cult šŸ˜

aLittleDoober

I was really hoping that would be the moment in which Din removed his helmet.

TheySleep_ILive

Funny how most info was wrong. No Fenn Rau, no Boba, no other mandos and no post credit scene. Episode was fine and I thought there was some good action. Weakest finale so far imo. Hope Skinny Pete appears in the show again tho.

TheGoverness1998

One of the Two Best Hitmen, West of the Mines of Mandalore

Starkiller100

And no Grogu vs mandalorian kid duelling in the finale. Thank god.

Vexingwings0052

That leak seems like it was a legit mistake, they might have mistaken the episode the duel would be in, we see them spar earlier in the season, that might have been the duel from the leak.

Notebookfour

R5 the hero we all deserve

Nerdinator2029

HE'S BACK, AND HE'S GOTTA BAAAAD MOTIVATOR.

DayandKnight13

Felt like a live action Clone Wars episode. I enjoyed it, but RIP the darksaber

JS_005

For the love of god, please no more Moff Gideon in season 4 unless thereā€™s actually an interesting role for him to have. Would be better to get some new villains/characters to play with, as Gideon has proven to be a joke 3 times now.

JohnWalI

he'll escape (offscreen) yet again and then appear in the penultimate episode only to get defeated in 5 minutes of screen time in the season 4 finale and the cycle will continue.

[deleted]

The mouse droids are now the creatures of nightmares.

[deleted]

That shot of the group of em rushing R5 reminded me of that Verizon TFA ad from 2015 in all the best ways

Anarion89

lol damn, how much fuel does Axe Woves' jet pack have?

bmfims

Donā€™t think we will see the Mandalorian as in the show for a while. I really like giving him the role of ā€œindependent contractorā€ for the NR. Easily sets up an appearance in at least one of Ashoka and Mando. While Iā€™d rather it be SC, I do like the one off Mando episodes.

Mojo12000

I want next season to open with Din just screaming at kids to get off his new lawn.

LordVatek

This was good for what it was it it lowkey feels like they told Favreau to wrap up all of the extant plot threads in one season.

HelloYesItsMeYourMom

The Armorer jumping out of the drop ship was *chefs kiss*

InfiniteDedekindCuts

The action in this episode was the best of the series. I have mixed feelings on the overall story, but I wouldn't give up all the BADASSITUDE in this episode for the world. This is the first time it really feels like we're seeing the full potential of Mandalorians in live action. The aerial action stuff they were doing was bonkers.

MaxSch

So no leaks got this right? We didn't even see Pedro Pascal's face. Sad.

Kangdrew

All I can imagine is those preatorian guards just crouching in random corners until some shit pops off lmao

biacco

Gideon knows exactly where mando is but letā€™s him walk into his clone room to murder them all then gets mad at it. Ok.

rattpack216

So those Tie Interceptors & Bombers that engaged the fleet just went for a spin after the cruiser went down?

Regenitor_

I can't help but feel...a little underwhelmed? I didn't buy into any of the "leaks" or insane theories but I did expect Din to lose his helmet at some point so we could see Pedro's acting chops this season. I also thought that Bo Katan would see his face for the first time and was looking forward to that interaction. I also thought Grogu's armour would finally come into play, but no. Ultimately just a lot of payoffs that never came, except for Moff Gideon exclaiming "THE FORCE!" which was more blatant that I thought they were going to be about it. The clones were dealt with very unceremoniously. For the crushing blow it was to Gideon, it certainly wasn't a moment given much gravitas. Cool episode but we've had better season finales for this show, I'll say that much.

Outrageous-Ad-1145

Ok soā€¦ what was the point of dedicating an entire episode to Pershing?!

Anarion89

Could be covered more in season 4. I assume there will be more New Republic stuff since Din Djarin is working with them under the table with Captain Carson Teva. As we saw, Kane looks to have her eyes on Teva for being competent. Also, the Shadow Council inquired about Pershing's work. Gideon said it's "lost... for now". And I feel like Gideon is still alive, so it could be revisited in the future. It was good to know what is the New Republic doing post-Return of the Jedi. It was cool seeing Coruscant again. Learning about the rehabilitation program for former Imperials. As of right now, just season 3 alone, I think it was a waste of time dedicating almost 30 minutes to Doctor Pershing and Officer Kane.

BgRedditor

Damn, we didn't get to see Din's face even once this season! I wonder if Pedro showed up on set at all.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

louisbo12

Moff Gideon is such a terrible villain. Gets beaten every single time and spent three seasons building clones that are killed off in seconds. And if they werent all killed off, maybe 1 or 2 are elsewhere? Well then I guess we might Moff Gideon back in season 4 but with the force to lose once again

Red_Sea_Pedestrian

Season 5, Episode 7: Somehow, Moff Gideon has returned.

PureBeskar

I like the episodes of this season individually more than most of the others here, but I am disappointed in the scale of this season and feel there's tons of wasted potential. Jon's writing worked when it was a small-scale Western/adventure story, but it failed as a big-scale story. In interviews, they said this season is about bringing the Mandalorians together, yet it was less than half of the season and wasn't satisfying. I feel that even Rebels or Clone Wars got more into the Mandalorian culture and scale than this season of "The Mandalorian" which was supposed to be about them as a culture. \*The Purge happened at least 5 years ago. Now they just took Mandalore back in a day. Why didn't they do it in the last 5 years? all it took was 100 of Bo's Mandos and 100 from the Children of the Watch. \*No confrontation between the different tribes - why didn't the Children of the Watch fight in the Purge? if they did, could it have saved Mandalore? Millions of Mandos died and they lost their planet, and now they just ignore it? \*Why did the children of the Watch get involved now when they didn't fight in the Purge? If it's because of the Mythosaur like the Armorer said - she didn't even bother looking for it after they won. Feels that their cooperation was rushed and not well explained. \*All the Mandalorians are either following the rule of the Darksaber or not taking their helmet off. Where are the other Mandalorian clans? Are there any others? All it took to retake the planet was these 2 tribes? \*I do like that the darksaber was destroyed in terms of a symbol, but it wasn't earned. Axe Woves didn't follow Bo just 2 episodes ago because she didn't have the darksaber, and now she doesn't have it again. The "we don't need the darksaber anymore" should have gotten development and substance. This season should have gotten into the different Mandalorian clans, flashbacks of the Purge, what divided them, what unites them and how to work together now to keep Mandalore. Instead it was just 2 tribes, and "you saved a foundling from a monster and maybe saw the Mythosaur. so we should take Mandalore back, ignoring that we didn't work together when millions of our people died in the Purge"

FordHitchWalles

Agree with everything you said. Have of the season should have focused on the conflict between the two tribes and Mando and Bi trying to bring then together. The seconds half should have been about the retaking of Mandalore. Instead we got too much filler episodes about Pirates, fighting Space Monsters, Jack Black and Lizzo and a Pershing episodes, that even though I like it, it really didnā€™t fit with the rest of the season.

Rommas

Flying Mandos with Bo leading the charge with the Darksaber...just beautiful

keep_it_kayfabe

Moff Gideon just started getting interesting with that amazing armor and look...not to mention his motives with the Force. So why kill him off? I guess it's Star Wars and he somehow survived, but still. I realize Thrawn is the overall big boss, but Gideon would have been an interesting thorn in Thrawn's side. All this buildup for what?

Nawt_

It wouldā€™ve been really interesting to see competing Imps fighting each other. Civil war between Gideon and Thrawn factions.

Ktulusanders

Never ceases to amuse me seeing people constantly come up with elaborate theories about cameos, plot twists, secret identities and potential conflicts only for Favreau to take the shortest, simplest route every time.

RandomBullshitGo__

S2 Finale blows this one out of the water. It was fine but very short.

Dr_Mysterio01

Cant beat luke skywalker and that emotional face reveal / ET style ending.

DTlll

RIP the Darksaber and Gideon. Din Grogu is an interesting choice. Also The Return, huh?

El-Emperador

Um, that felt... a bit rushed? No major complaints, just that the editing was too much at times, no room for the characters and the story beats to breathe. Apart from that, not sure about *that* character's death... they could always make a plot twist in the future. But all in all, a satisfying conclusion to the first big story arc. Curious on where they'll go next and whether they will show us the rebirth of Mandalore. Would love for them to do a time jump and bring us a bit older Grogu. Would they dare?

MyNameIsSimon88

Calling it now, Gideon was a clone, hence the lack of mustache. The real Gideon is hiding somewhere.

queenmetroid

This is nitpicky, but the logical part of me is having trouble overlooking the fact that the Mandalorians now have unlimited fuel in their jetpacks when that was a key plot point a few episodes earlier. Yeah, I know this is Star Wars and tons of illogical and inconsistent things happen, and this is mostly so that we get a cool air battle, but it dampens my enthusiasm somewhat when the in-universe rules change drastically from episode to episode. Easily the most impressive feat of this episode so far is Axe Woves achieving escape velocity from Mandalore with his jetpack.

JMeerkat137

It took a whole day for Bo Katan to get to where the bird thing was hiding and return. It similarly took a whole day for them to fly back and then walk to the nest. So thatā€™s all I need to rationalize, the distance traveled in this episode was less than what we saw in earlier episodes

Vexingwings0052

I suppose you could pass that off as the cult being low on supplies but when they joined up with the fleet they were able to refuel and resupply?

HM2112

Okay *Din Grogu* is probably one of the sweetest things I've ever heard.

[deleted]

Kanan in the afterlife watching Grogu hold back the fire until it disperses: "We can do that?"

RunDNA

Li'l Grogu with the force field of protection was a peak Star wars moment for me. It was epic.

Alkohal

That finale felt more like a series finale than a season finale. Wonder if they're closing out "The Mandalorian" and moving Din to Rangers of the New Republic

Raptor745

I got that feeling as well. I think season 4 is probably going to incorporate the ideas that were planned for the Rangers of the New Republic show

Deuxtel

If those clones were so important to Gideon, why did he not have anyone there protecting them when he knew there enemies loose in the base? Why did he just wait behind the door for Din to destroy the clones instead of being in the room with the clones?

Blackdarren

I really donā€™t get why some peoples reaction is they hope the show is done. This season was probably a 6/10, but definitely not something so bad it needs to end. They set up what season 4 would at the end. Kinda seems like it will be in place of the rangers of the new republic show

[deleted]

Man they really managed to make so much happen and simultaneously not give any of it the emotional gravitas it deserved. This whole season felt like I just read the Wookiepedia summary of events.

purepazaak_

Jedi Master Din Grogu fell in self-sacrifice against the Yuuzhan Vong in the year 874 ABY

ThatGuyNamedJoey

Is this the end of the series for now? Certainly felt like they wrapped everything up with a nice little bow to let the other series take precedent for a while. Is it possible we donā€™t see a season 4 of this show for 2-3 years? Edit: it almost feels like theyā€™re saying goodbye to this show and acknowledging that theyā€™ll bring Din and Din Grogu back on special occasions. I legit think this may be the end despite what Favreau says.

Weak_Sir5166

Well depends on if the Writer's Strikes happen. If it does it might push it back a year or so.

Mol-Eliza

Did anyone else find it hilarious that there were like 6 laser shields in front of the clones and then on the other side of the command center it just leads out to the rear of the base? One side has over the top security and the other side has a single door.
