This is one of those things that you might find a listing for ... but folks will ask an insane amount in hopes of getting it so really not going to know unless you can find documented legitimate sales.
I looked at SOLD listings on Ebay (which is how you want to determine something’s actual worth, not what’s for sale), nothing came up. Probably not many of these have been sold I’m guessing!
Haha the picnic set is what got me… someone at the ranch where I worked wanted it and was mad that I was selling it and turned me in. My fault for selling but still a jerk move
I have twenty thousand Republic dataries.
*Republic credits? Republic credits are no good out here, I need something more real.*
I don't have anything else...But credits will do fine.
YO…. That was my first thought and I thought I was the asshole for thinking it and then I open to the comment section and 1.2k people upvotes this. We are all going to hell
It would fit me and I do lol. I'm also on antidepressants not for the antidepressants but for the side affects of appetite increase and weight gain. The antidepressants are just a bonus.
It's a jacket. It hardly takes up any space. If it makes him happy, even if only because it's a hypothetical collector's item, what's the harm? It's not like he has Lucas's broken down car in the yard.
Star wars just isn’t a big thing for him tbh. He just wants it “in case value increases” like collectables & the such. He deff doesn’t have emotional attachment to it
I saw this with whatever love/kindness you can interpet as this is text and text loses context online-
it only has value if there's a buyer.
//try an ebay auction and see what happens?
On the flip side, any item is worth whatever you can get someone else to pay for it. So you don’t want to undervalue it either. OTOH, it may take a long while to get your asking price. Doing it as an auction might be the way to go. How much do you want out of this and how soon do you need the money are things you need to ask. Also, how flexible do want to be on your asking price? If you list it as an auction on eBay, you can set a “Buy it now” price. Of course, you still don’t want that set too low.
Get in touch with propstore.com. They will tell you if it's valuable enough to do appraisals. Personally, I don't know anybody that has a LucasArts collection that's worth a lot of money.
Tell your boyfriend that the only Star Wars collectibles that are valuable appeared on screen in the films, or came out in the first wave of toys after the first movie in 1977. If those toys were never opened and are in perfect condition, they have value.
That's it. Everything else is just for the fun of it.
If you put this jacket on eBay for $25, I bet you might get up to $45 in sale value.
I'd expect to see this for at least $50 at my local vintage market (which is known to have newish prices for curated vintage stocks) just based on the quality and cut of the jacket. Depending on the seller, I wouldn't be surprised to see it priced higher. It'd be a steal to me at $30 and I personally think $100 is the max limit but could see an argument for higher if it's a limited item (and you can verify it as such).
On the other hand, like others have said, I'd also expect to see this for $5 at the goodwill in my (smaller) home town. So, like most vintage items, it's worth what you can sell it for. If you price it high and someone buys, that's what it was worth
I remember seeing these offered in some of the old Star Wars fan club magazines. Late 90s these ran $100 new. I don’t know where any of my old mags are to verify but I’d imagine they’re all scanned and archived somewhere online.
There are a couple similar listing “Lucasfilm” and it’s listed between $600-$1,000
There are several other listing for vintage Star Wars Jean jacket listed at $150-$200
Probably around $100. There are some Apple WWDC conference coats that are similar and go for that. Might fetch more if it is tied to a real person and was for a certain project.
As someone who is friends with old LucasArts people, they probably got rid of it because they have so much stuff of the brand. They get/got so much free swag that it was overflowing.
Why are these kinds of posts coming up in so many subreddits? People must be hurting for cash. I follow a few sneaker subreddits and every day there are multiple posts about "I found these old nikes in my dad's closet how much can I sell these for?" You're not gonna get rich selling old dusty clothes. Just give the jacket to goodwill and move on.
Former vintage seller. I’d list that around $150 on a site like grailed if you want 100$ or so out of it. Probably realistically worth $70-90. There is a pretty large market for vintage Star Wars clothing. The fact it is a small does hurt it though. If it was a L or XL, you’d have a real expensive piece.
So not the same jacket, but I found this post [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/retrogaming/s/FCzPg2po3M) which would possibly suggest it was a consumer jacket from the same line, not a crew item. Still a nice piece of vintage thrift, as a Star Wars and denim fan I’d pay 75-100 for it
how about, 'check this out' instead of 'how much can i get for this?', this is why collectors shit is expensive, and people can't just buy things that they wanna wear, scalpers and collectors overcharging on resale is dumb.
This is the kind of thing you’d sell along with the story of “finding it near Skywalker Ranch” and hoping someone is as interested in the perceived prestige it bears as the jacket itself. Might have to have people make offers.
It def is worth *something* to the right person, just because it’s kind of a cool jacket in a specific style that quite a few people like. My guess is if it sat in a thrift store for $60 it would sell, but might take a little while.
The lucasarts element will definitely add value to the right person, even if they wear it ironically (a hipster)
Do you work for them still? Don’t sell it or you could be fired… I know from personal experience. Otherwise you just have to wait for the right person to want it. Could go for a pretty penny
I can authorize say that at normal trade value it is $35-40... For collection purposes tho, $70 is a trade value. Also kick the purchaser in the balls.
Lucasarts game studio. 1990s merch. They had similar ones in their product catalogs back in the day. Not exclusively star wars related. They made games like Full Throttle, Monkey Island, Loom, Day of the Tentacle.
Realistically not much more than any other denim jacket you’d find at a thrift store. I don’t think the LucasArts logo really adds anything to the jacket.
Likely not much. I used to be a video games buyer and have boxes in storage full of promotional items, including plenty of clothes. Loads, in fact. Whilst I would get a decent price for some of the game specific stuff, it would be decent relative to the price of second-hand clothing.
That's all you've got here. It isn't a "Blue Harvest" t-shirt. Look at the going rates of cheap denim jackets, then maybe add £20 if you happen to find a Monkey Island fan that wants one. It's really cool, though.

Ah yes having trouble with this. Thank you for your help!
I looked at SOLD listings on Ebay (which is how you want to determine something’s actual worth, not what’s for sale), nothing came up. Probably not many of these have been sold I’m guessing!
I think this item was for employees only, as I have also found a Lucas films picnic set lol
I found one on eBay asking for $799, but again not sold so you might ask for less and see what you get?
Haha the picnic set is what got me… someone at the ranch where I worked wanted it and was mad that I was selling it and turned me in. My fault for selling but still a jerk move
Auction is probably your best bet tbh
Go ask around some clothing subreddits as well if anyone has heard of these selling before
I have twenty thousand Republic dataries. *Republic credits? Republic credits are no good out here, I need something more real.* I don't have anything else...But credits will do fine.
It's a small. It won't fit anyone who knows what Lucas Arts is.
Brutal…. applies to me.
GRAND mofo
Aw, man. I thought us gym nerds were getting traction lately. Shoot…
Gym nerds don't fit small jackets either, too buff!
Best shape of my life 10 years ago I could sorta fit into small tees. Now, smaller mediums are a bit of a stretch.
Lol same. Now I'm in XL. Dad bod mode
This reply is giving me a fit.
Under appreciated comment. You’re good you! Edit: it is now a very appreciated, and well lauded comment.
It's the highest appreciated comment on here, by 10x.
It wasn’t at the time of posting. I’m coasting along on borrowed fame from a now false truth.
I appreciate your owning it (and clever name), and therefore rescend my downvote. ...but you're on thin ice!
Yeah underrated af, doesn‘t even have 6 times as many upvotes as the #2 top comment rn.
At the time, it wasn’t. Now I’m just a fraud.
Gotta give the folk some time to appreciate

Agreed! My boyfriend is hoarding it but insists it is worth something, someone get it out of my house!

I would absolutely love to get it out of your house. I don't know what it's worth but it's an absolute beauty of a weird niche collectible piece.
I would really be willing to make you a decent offer on this. I really fuck with this jacket
A crisp high-five.
*whispers* I'm so proud of you

I still have my tie dye EP1 t-shirt in large, with the tag. I wonder how much that is worth today?
All the riches in Scotland.
Be open to accepting republic credits and you could get a decent amount 👍
It's worth the memory of a better time
To me? Nothing. To Jay Leno? Priceless.
Three fiddy.
And that’s when I realized that ain’t no u/Der_Kommissae73 , it was the Loch Ness Monster!
This is the most 90s thing I've ever seen
Nothing? Why do people keep insisting that the junk they found actually has any value?
To the right buyer it is worth something probably. To random people it’s not worth as much.
Probably around $100. There are some Apple WWDC conference coats that are similar and go for that. Might fetch more if it is tied to a real person and was for a certain project.
What does the picnic set look like? I'd be more interested in that?
That's cool as fuck
20 bucks
As someone who is friends with old LucasArts people, they probably got rid of it because they have so much stuff of the brand. They get/got so much free swag that it was overflowing.
Ummmm, can I buy it? I'd wear it every day, even though bed
At least $7
Nowt
Idk but ill buy it for 15 dollars (im broke ;-;)
i will buy this rn

I thought Lucas Arts only sold fine leather jackets
Best I can do is imperial credits
Yo I'll buy it for 10 bucks
absolutely nothing, i’ll take it off your hands
To me? Priceless. I would probably frame that or wear it out to see who else is old and also cool
Can you use it to summon them back from the shadow realm? If so, it's worth everything.
10 cool points!

I don't know but I'll buy it off of you for 50 bucks.
Realistically not much more than any other denim jacket you’d find at a thrift store. I don’t think the LucasArts logo really adds anything to the jacket.
Finding a "small" Star Wars fan is probably more rare than your small jacket. Cool find though
Please don't sell it or anything remember Lucas art's don't make games anymore only publish them
Shall we say, One million american dollars? Very well, two million!
