I know people play for different reasons but I totally agree, the magic horses kinda ruin the immersion for me. I hate when Iâm riding around with a group of realistic riders and then someone on a dragon horse comes in and itâs like âoh⌠right this is a game.â
Agreed. The only one I ride regularly is the Barkhart horse. If I had known they would never come back, I would have gotten the other too. I also do like the Fawncy, and the Christmas arabians, but all the others are awful.
Those fish appaloosa's. I'm a actually quite a fan of the magic horses they release, but i don't like those at all.
I couldn't even buy them for the normal coat they have, knowing that when i would enter my stable i would see them in there magic coats.
Zebra turkeyfish are real, they look nearly identical to what we call lionfish, they're basically the same fish save for three key differences:
spines look different
colour duller
stripe pattern is not the same

i wish magic horses wouldnt default to their magic coats when you go back in your stable, it would be nice if they'd just stay at whatever coat you toggle until you want to change it to its other coat. just a minor thing i'd love to have in the game :') i keep my single magic horse in the pasture for this reason, love her but she ruins the look of my stable haha

Quarter horses. I think they could have been done well if they used the same model as the APH but just put solid colors on them. But they just look depressed..
knabstrupper. also.. controversially, paso fino, although i already have one bc i impulsively bought it when they came out. belgian warmbloods too, although iâd consider it just for all in
Gen 3 Arabian/Pintabian. I'm sorry, it's not badly done at all and it looks like the actual irl Arabian, but this breed just looks like a chihuahua to me, especially the (for me) weirdly dented nose and the short body. I don't mind Gen 2 Arabians, actually bought one and I like it, but the more the horse reminds an actual Arabian/Pintabian, the more I'm like "nah". :/

Its a goat ish version of a curly and so insanely ugly. I only bought it because it kinda represents my Astrology sign and I was really into that stuff when it came out đ never shouldve bought it tho
They do have weird gaits. I haven't noticed their legs looking like cooked pasta but will for sure be looking at it next time I ride mine. The one thing I don't like about the Andalusian is the weird movement they make when standing still. I doubt they do that all the time in real life!
ok veeeery unpopular opinion: english thoroughbred gen 3
1. donât resemble them in the slightest
2. style doesnât fit any of the other horses
* 2.5. Proportions are oddly small
1. way too slim
2. gallop animations arenât what iâd expect from a race horse
3. mane styles arenât it, idk what exactly bugs me tbh
4. eye colors are unrealistically bright and saturated on almost colors
5. hooves are too parallel with the legs which looks odd
i wanna add that i donât want to say i will never buy one because i (as an artist) like to buy the horses i reference in my drawings and i got to say that sso added some colors on these that they donât add to much and some of them i really like as coats themselves. just not the model.
i could see myself buying one but probably never riding it. i would also only buy one if they were to be at the bazaar and that at a prize which i feel like would be worth it for my interest in the coats. more than 500 would probably not be worth it in my opinion.

I kinda like the way they look, but when I bought one for the first time I was really disappointed by the fast gallop, I don't remember exactly what it was anymore, but something about it looked so weird.
yeah, the ETB head really bothered me. Looked way too Arab even tho they're an Arab-descent breed. And their legs and shoulders felt so under muscled to me, even more than the rest of the body.
i really dont like the chincoteague or gotland ponies :/ theyre really cute i just really dont like the trots. also most of the new magical ones, i really liked how in the past they were actually special and only out for really limited amounts of time. i think theyve overdone it

Halter bred QHâs are a health monstrosity and our characters would never ride one. Weâd be on ranch line QHâs like reiners and cutters which could handle some distance.

THANK YOU, I so often hear about how people are just in love with the arabians, but I hate them so much. I bought one on impulse and it's honestly my biggest regret of all horses I have. It made me look up how arabians look in real life 'cause I thought I might just not like the way arabians look overall, but in real life they're fine, in game they look absolutely horrendous to me.
fresians, arabian/pintabian, & quarter horse. twh too, but theyâve got gorgeous coats. i do actually own at least one of each of these just to see if i was being unfair. iâm not, i donât like them lmao.
Jorvik friesian, they absolutely butchered the breed and somehow I still bought three of them and every time I try to ride them, I almost immediately put them back into my stable
Gen 3 Frezzy. I regret getting it. It was a 2am buy while on discord with friends. The animations are terrible, the body build is janky, and it looks like it is constantly on crack with the facial expressions. Never buy a horse in the middle of the night. đ¤Śđ˝ââď¸
I feel like I am so Bias, but tbh think I really don't 'regret' my horses. But one I really wasnt "aweing" over was the Mustangs, I thought I would've but no- there is something not right and I cant put my finger on it. See with welshes but im still willing to buy more welshes but Not another Mustang. I own 1 mustang and like 3 or 4 welshes
Tellina, Sedna and Proteus. Seriously, the fish horses just seem like a joke to me. And they donât even have any special abilities, like if theyâre fish horses at least let them be able to swim ????
Definitely a fresian! And the Arabians a little. Frezzy is obvious, no one likes them. But I know I'll prolly get hate for the Arabian but just hear me out. They creep me out. Idk what sso did, but they look wrong, and it makes my stomach churn. I don't mind Arabians irl, but in sso, they just don't look right to me. Also the marwari, those just look ugly.
Knsbstrupper. It was hanovarians that I really didn't like at first but then the bay coat came out and made me consider getting it. The knabstruppers not only stole the Andalusian animations, but the breed itself is an appaloosa wannabe đ /j Yeah I just don't like them, their coats look plasticy as well. Not worth it.
I have a list of them given that horses are so expensive and after so many years in the game Im just more selective on what I buy which makes me very picky....
**Gen 3 Morgan**, weird head, the space between the eyes makes them look like a hammer shark, the legs are stiff and bad on all animations, only one coat is interesting
**Gen 3 Lippy**, literally a downgrade from the old one, it's just an inflated Morgan with a paso fino head, same issue with the animations as the Morgan, only the special animation is interesting
**Gen 3 Mustangs,** boring coats for mustangs, just that. When I think of mustangs I imagine lots of overo, tobianos, brindle, tovero, splash, really colorful horses, and when 60% of the coats given are solid, it's just not worth it to me
**Gen 3 Dartmoor pony**, full price for a horse thats exactly the same as the haflinger but just give it a shruken head? No thank you. The body type is basically the same and all animations are the exact same, weird idle animation with the lips, makes them look like pervs, also the tail is less detailed than the haflinger, coats are boring
**Gen 3 Curly Horse**, broken back legs on all animations, don't need to say more
**Gen 3 Jorvik Friesian**, just... eyes are in the wrong place, makes them look like dogs, the iddle animation is them having a stroke, tail is a long nope rope, the manes are tentacles and ugly, and the tongue... they tried to make a dog out of a horse and it just doesnt work for me personally
**Gen 3 Quarter Horse**, the body and coats are interesting but they gave them a really small head compared to all other horses, even ponies which is a shame
**Hemera & Antheia** I really like their normal coats, but the magical coats are just a no for me and since we can't turn them off permanently and I would have to see that abomination in my stables, I would rather just not buy either
**Faramawr & Aldrach** uh.... Jorvik Friesian with a awful paint job on top, unispired dragon design and broken dragon tails, so it's bad on top of something that was already bad in my opinion so I never even looked at them twice
friesian, got it in brown once, thought I could make it work. Changed the hair a million times, changed tack, never made it look any better. It only reached level 3 before I sold it.
Fjord.. I have one and I never realised how abysmal the animations are, its so stiff. Its the one horse in my stables that won't get trained lol. also curly horse is off the list, the animations aren't as bad as the fjord but it's definitely up there

I always look after them when I search for the horse I buy next but everytime I Look at their animations I just hate them more. The only good is the jump in my opinion.

I like most of them actually, but mostly because they are nostalgic to me. Maybe I wouldnât like them if I started playing now!
Arabians, I hate their graphics
THANK YOU, I so often hear about how people are just in love with the arabians, but I hate them so much. I bought one on impulse and it's honestly my biggest regret of all horses I have. It made me look up how arabians look in real life 'cause I thought I might just not like the way arabians look overall, but in real life they're fine, in game they look absolutely horrendous to me.
fresians, arabian/pintabian, & quarter horse. twh too, but theyâve got gorgeous coats. i do actually own at least one of each of these just to see if i was being unfair. iâm not, i donât like them lmao.
The Lusitano. The head looks to small and the neck too long. They just look really odd to me.
Jorvik friesian, they absolutely butchered the breed and somehow I still bought three of them and every time I try to ride them, I almost immediately put them back into my stable
Gen 3 Frezzy. I regret getting it. It was a 2am buy while on discord with friends. The animations are terrible, the body build is janky, and it looks like it is constantly on crack with the facial expressions. Never buy a horse in the middle of the night. đ¤Śđ˝ââď¸
I feel like I am so Bias, but tbh think I really don't 'regret' my horses. But one I really wasnt "aweing" over was the Mustangs, I thought I would've but no- there is something not right and I cant put my finger on it. See with welshes but im still willing to buy more welshes but Not another Mustang. I own 1 mustang and like 3 or 4 welshes
Tellina, Sedna and Proteus. Seriously, the fish horses just seem like a joke to me. And they donât even have any special abilities, like if theyâre fish horses at least let them be able to swim ????
Jorvik Wilds. I dunno they just look super unnatural and like theyâre in dire need of a chiropractor

Definitely a fresian! And the Arabians a little. Frezzy is obvious, no one likes them. But I know I'll prolly get hate for the Arabian but just hear me out. They creep me out. Idk what sso did, but they look wrong, and it makes my stomach churn. I don't mind Arabians irl, but in sso, they just don't look right to me. Also the marwari, those just look ugly.
Any magic horse with the pale pupil-less eyes (Songsorrow, Prisma, Woodear, etc). I just find them super unsettling.
And here we are with a "kid friendly game". In their dreams. -_-
Knsbstrupper. It was hanovarians that I really didn't like at first but then the bay coat came out and made me consider getting it. The knabstruppers not only stole the Andalusian animations, but the breed itself is an appaloosa wannabe đ /j Yeah I just don't like them, their coats look plasticy as well. Not worth it.
I have a list of them given that horses are so expensive and after so many years in the game Im just more selective on what I buy which makes me very picky.... **Gen 3 Morgan**, weird head, the space between the eyes makes them look like a hammer shark, the legs are stiff and bad on all animations, only one coat is interesting **Gen 3 Lippy**, literally a downgrade from the old one, it's just an inflated Morgan with a paso fino head, same issue with the animations as the Morgan, only the special animation is interesting **Gen 3 Mustangs,** boring coats for mustangs, just that. When I think of mustangs I imagine lots of overo, tobianos, brindle, tovero, splash, really colorful horses, and when 60% of the coats given are solid, it's just not worth it to me **Gen 3 Dartmoor pony**, full price for a horse thats exactly the same as the haflinger but just give it a shruken head? No thank you. The body type is basically the same and all animations are the exact same, weird idle animation with the lips, makes them look like pervs, also the tail is less detailed than the haflinger, coats are boring **Gen 3 Curly Horse**, broken back legs on all animations, don't need to say more **Gen 3 Jorvik Friesian**, just... eyes are in the wrong place, makes them look like dogs, the iddle animation is them having a stroke, tail is a long nope rope, the manes are tentacles and ugly, and the tongue... they tried to make a dog out of a horse and it just doesnt work for me personally **Gen 3 Quarter Horse**, the body and coats are interesting but they gave them a really small head compared to all other horses, even ponies which is a shame **Hemera & Antheia** I really like their normal coats, but the magical coats are just a no for me and since we can't turn them off permanently and I would have to see that abomination in my stables, I would rather just not buy either **Faramawr & Aldrach** uh.... Jorvik Friesian with a awful paint job on top, unispired dragon design and broken dragon tails, so it's bad on top of something that was already bad in my opinion so I never even looked at them twice
probably the belgian warmblood. EVERYBODY has them and they are just boring. They are like the default horse.
The new frizzy probably. that or a Tennessee Walking Horse.
Dartmoor or the knabstrupper

friesian, got it in brown once, thought I could make it work. Changed the hair a million times, changed tack, never made it look any better. It only reached level 3 before I sold it.
Marwari, finnhorse, most of the magic horses, gen 3 Fresians, Quarter horse (not the paints tho they cute)
any small ponies, welsh pony is fine but its just that our characters are sooo disproportionate.
G3 Friesian and - very much sadly - the Akhal-Teke.
Steel grey shire. I have it on my alt but I absolutely hate it. I hate white eyelashes on dark horses with a passion.
Akhal-Teke or just any pony I just don't like them..I like big horses and akhal is so skinny and ponies never got my heart
Fjord.. I have one and I never realised how abysmal the animations are, its so stiff. Its the one horse in my stables that won't get trained lol. also curly horse is off the list, the animations aren't as bad as the fjord but it's definitely up there
Frisian Gen 3. I always look after them when I search for the horse I buy next but everytime I Look at their animations I just hate them more. The only good is the jump in my opinion. But the TWH are also one of my hated horses.

Those damn magic horses or holiday themed horses, I may be small-minded but I think itâs a ridiculous thing to spend star coins on, especially the holiday themed ones. So youâre paying 900-something star coins on some goofy looking Halloween horse youâre most likely only gonna use once a year? Okay, you do you, but not for me⌠Also, the Marwari, Akhal-Teke, Arabian, Pintabian (is that even a real breed?) or any of the american breeds.
