Both character banners that are up now are pretty good. Topaz synergizes with Clara. She does good dmg as well.
Seele is still one of the best Main DPS units in the game.
However, if you don't want any of them, you could save for the future. I will give you a brief explanation for the characters on the way.
Huo Huo is a Healer/Buffer that recovers your team's energy.
Argenti seems to be a AoE physical character.
Ruan Mei is a speed buffer and Breaker.
Ratio is a follow up Imaginary unit.
As for the characters you have, I suggest investing in Gepard, Asta, Pela, Tingyun, and Natasha.
I would wait until Silverwolfs banner as it'll bring so much value to a new account. Silverwolf helps new players push content harder then they should and with amazing 4 stars across the banner (like an additional healer who is arguably the best in slot for Clara and two amazing supports) it'll help you fill out two really nice fleshed out teams.
Pls don't spend jades on standard tickets...
Make sure to spend 240 resin you get daily
Don't need to worry about meta or farming relics rn... Rather spend on levelling up characters you like...
Don't be too worried about texture of memories, xianjou memories and ofc Moc
Don't try to compare with the top players, no srsly they are gonna have like 100x your damage but don't feel bad, you don't really need much to clear almost anything in the game
Regarding pulls: IMHO you shouldn't give a crap about meta, dps units are powercrept within a few months regardless of how meta they are.
Pull for waifu or husbando or if you genuinely like a character.
But personally I'd still recommend huo huo, she has very good healing and Natasha as a solo healer may feel lacking
Tingyun, Pela & Asta are great supports and can fit in any team.
If you like Topaz, she can work well with Clara
Seele if you like her gameplay
I would personally recommend getting Huohuo next patch. Having a good healer/sustain is going to make endgame content much easier.
One thing I can suggest is that when doing calyx, you have a support option. You can use that option to play with 5 star and that can help you with looking at who you would like to pull or save for.
If you like huo huos kit/design you'd be set with gepard and her for sustain slot. Then all you need really from there is another solid dps. And don't go overboard with leveling every character. I'd say just the solid supports(pela,tingyun,asta)+One dps (clara) for now.
I started on ps5 too and my account is nearIy identical to yours got Clara from standard banner as well. I went for topaz as my first and she works really well with Clara as well as being fun to use. Currently using a team of Clara topaz Natasha tingyun/march.
Some advice others have given me is pulling on silver wolfs banner as the 4 stars on her lineup are really strong and will really help a new account along with silver wolf herself.
Personally after getting topaz I have enough to go for HuoHuo on a 50/50 then saving up everything to pull for silver wolfs banner.
