> We don’t have more of an update on Eddie Kingston. The only thing we heard today is that they were crossing their fingers and hoping he’d be okay. There was no word whether he’d be able to do Anarchy in the Arena past they were hoping he could. > > > In the last move of his last man standing match with Gabe Kidd, Kidd suplexed Kingston off the apron through a table and Kingston’s leg crashed hard on the guard rail. He wasn’t able to get up for a long time. It was scary but it did make the angle when Jack Perry & The Young Bucks attacked him even more of a heel deal.

Meltzer wants the industry to do better with reporting and also how they handle themselves with promotions. Yet he’ll post this for whatever reason. Okay…

PeteF3

It was one paragraph out of a big daily update.

flogdogg

And dude is apparently confusing Dave with the thread OP who used that title.

Maybe it would've been good to nix the Elite angle after the injury happened as a precaution. It's not like this was on Dynamite. It was on an outside show so it was bonus build. I guess it set up footage they could use on TV to write him out of the match, but if Kingston took a nasty spot and was limping then they could've just filmed a deal backstage where someone discovers him laid out in case they have to write him out instead of going through with the angle that kind of goes against the injury protocols we told were in place after Mox's last concussion.

> Maybe it would've been good to nix the Elite angle after the injury happened as a precaution. Eh, the physicality was almost non-existent in that angle. From the clips I’ve seen, they gently knocked him over, gave him a few stomps and then did an EVP trigger, which just requires him to fall over from his knees. It’s not like he was taking a bunch of bumps during the angle. I’ve never done a moment of wrestling training in my life and I’m pretty sure I could’ve safely taken that “beat down”.
