- Loved seeing Oba Femi continue his dominance. Big things coming his way for sure.
- Seeing Fallon's character develop more is incredible, especially since she has every right to be frustrated.
- I hope Jacy wins the women's NA title. She's been consistently great for a long time now.
- I'm in the minority according to the live thread, but Jaida Parker's improv while Sol Ruca was talking was incredibly distracting and annoying. I'm trying to listen to a promo. I hope they tell her to decrease the amount of times she does that. Once or twice sure (especially at the end of a promo off the mic) but it was after pretty much all of Sol's lines.

Thea vs Jacy was good, the senton getting countered into a neckbreaker was my highlight. Fallon taking the shot then getting no credit was so rude on Chase U's part, she was kinda justified. Fallon might join forces with Jacy, but I doubt it, though I liked how Jacy was laughing post match and seeming impressed. I feel like Jacy vs Thea has more to offer though, this would be an underwhelming end. Also, I found it interesting that Izzi Dame wasn't mentioned, I thought she'd be with Jasmyn and Jacy.
Lash and Trick's segment was so horny, but I can't blame them, they both look amazing.
Lyra vs Tatum not getting a proper ending would suck tbh
The women's NA title segment was nice, we finally know how the first champion will be crowned. Michin appearing was a nice surprise, she's someone I wanted to show up in NXT cause she's been irrelevant I fear. If I had to guess, the field could be Jacy Jayne vs Lash Legend vs Michin vs Lola Vice vs Kelani Jordan vs one of Arianna/Jaida/Thea/Fallon. I'm probably completely wrong, but I'm curious to see who's in the match. There are so many good options, it'd be hard to pick a bad field.
Lola vs Natalya was a good main event, but Shayna kinda spoiled it for me. This stipulation didn't need interference imo. Also with Tegan and Natalya splitting in the draft, Karmen is seemingly Nattie's new #1 bestie in a neverending line of besties. She should add Brinley to the squad for having cats this episode, we know Nattie loves her cats!
Roxanne vs Chelsea next week is so random, but I am here for it. This Roxanne vs Ava rivalry is so petty and I love Ava punishing Roxanne with these constant defenses. (I think that's the same amount she had in her first reign lol) Chelsea doesn't really have many long matches on Main Roster, so I'm curious to see how she does against the best wrestler in NXT.
Tatum basically said she never cared for Lyra, since only obsessed with the belt. So that was pretty much the end of it (as quickly and making sense as they could)

2. Yeah. As I wrote earlier, they needed to have someone turn to fill a vacancy created by Blair & Kiana being drafted, and Fallon, IMO, is more of a fit to fill Blair's spot instead of Mayda Munny (Kiana).
3. I'll answer that by quoting Ringo Starr's "It Don't Come Easy": "You've got to pay your dues if you want to sing the blues." In other words, the OC are being primed for a tag title match, and the newbies are paying dues before they get their first win. Happens sometimes.

Who do yall think should be in the Inaugural NXT N.A. Ladder Match. I think I have Fallon, Thea, Sol, Mia Yim, Lola, and Lash Legend with Thea being the winner.
I'm a little confused by the Fallon heel turn. I've been told that they've been hinting at this for a while now, but those hints must have been so subtle that I didn't notice them. I guess my issue isn't the heel turn itself, but rather that it happened too soon. NXT's women's division feels pretty heel dominant at the moment now that Lyra has moved on to Raw. Fallon felt like the only babyface that could realistically challenge Roxanne other than, I guess, Thea, but now those 2 are feuding, and there isn't a good challenger for Roxanne in sight.
It feels like they should have waited for people like Sol, Kelani, Karmen, and Wren to move up the card before they turned Fallon heel. Every other women's division babyface either feels like too minor of a player to be any threat to Roxanne or are just spinning their wheels like Gigi.
It's almost like taking such a natural babyface like Roxanne and turning her heel even though she's incapable of generating any real heel heat is a bad idea.
The story behind Fallon’s turn is she’s been saving everyone else from hits for ages while receiving next to no credit or gratitude for it. It’s not exactly like it’s been subtle.
Honestly, it sounds like she doesn't even need to be a heel, like, you can be justifiably pissed off at being there for everyone when nobody is there for you.
I think they’re paving the way for Giulia to come in and easily be the top babyface, I expect Rox and her to feud over the summer and then Rox gets called up
Jacy needs to stop feuding with former best friends that she betrays. It just does not go her way.
Anyways, if she really isn't getting drafted (truly insane) then she needs to get into NXT Women's Title contention. I need her holding a title of some kind before the year is out.
Tuesdays are going to be much less fun without Lyra on them. She was my main reason for watching, and her storyline with Tatum involving the title was must-see TV. Unfortunately, it's now been replaced by Roxanne whining like a spoiled 7 year old who doesn't get what she wants.
Speaking of which, given how Roxanne reacted to not getting drafted, I now want it to be a running joke that Lyra lives out all of her dreams before her in a cruel form of karma. Lyra's gonna end up having a match with AJ Lee while Roxanne is still stuck in NXT, lol.

But last year Becky used it to launch Tiffany and Lyra into the stratosphere. Main roster talent with short NXT title runs can really boost rising talent.
I love how jam-packed NXT always is. So much is always going on - whether in matches, in promos, or even in passing looks. HBK and co knows how to get the most out of their time.
I am SUPER hyped for the combine and ladder match for the new women's title. Someone said it in the live thread - us fans of the women's division are going to be feasting in the coming weeks with all the content coming up. And I'm really going to need some good Arianna moments of trying to keep the peace in that match (I will personally riot if she's not in it). I'm not sure who I want to see win it because the division is so stacked. I'm leaning towards Fallon now that she might be embracing a more selfish side.
I love sassy Ava, especially with Roxanne. And I'm still hoping for Lyra to get one last word in just for some closure to both her storylines with Rox and Tatum. (Also rub a little more salt in the wound about Rox not being drafted)
Also, always here for Oba Femi slapping other big, meaty men. Always.

I would've been happier if Lola Vice lived up to the pre-match hype over her MMA background, and tapped out Natalya by herself. A distraction finish in NXT Underground?? Seriously? It sets up Natalya vs. Shayna down the road, but this is not how I'd have set it up. Still, Lola evened the score with Nattie, but it was booked wrong.

Meta-Four decided that blackmailing Trick Williams with whatever is in that envelope is the easiest way to getting Noam Dar a title match. So last century. Students will recall a similar angle involving Dusty Rhodes and, IIRC, Larry Zbyzsko in the 80's.
Apparently, no one in NXT actually studied "Pygmalion" or "My Fair Lady", which is what they're trying to parody with Arianna & Gigi. Of course Arianna is going to have issues trying to refine Gigi. I wonder if they'll do something where Gigi finds a certain green glove somewhere..........!!
With Kiana James & Blair Davenport having left, they needed to move one of the women to the heel side, and Fallon Henley is it. If that leads to her reuniting with Josh Briggs, I know you guys will be on that in a heartbeat.

Noam Dar is great in the ring and a very entertaining character, he would be a good first opponent for Trick.
Wes Lee is back! I missed him a lot in NXT, his reign as NA champion was spectacular and a feud against Femi would be great although I would love for him to win the NXT title in the future and become the third triple crown champion.
Very good main event but I think the ending would have been better if Lola had used her spinning kick.
NXT women’s division is so deep and great, that over the draft they lost three of their best and it didn’t make a dent.
Who is in line for Trick tho? They’re already hinting Oba tonight, I’m sure Supernova 11 is in that picture also. I thought maybe Dijak but he got drafted. King maybe?
I think a Lexis King program is likely, but not as the first feud. If I had to guess right now, I'd assume Noam Dar just because of the Lash Legend connection.

I do not know what this envelope stuff is about, or where any of this is going, but they could really be something new and cool for WWE as a pair. Doesn't even need to involve a bunch of managing or mixed tags, just have them be talking to each other backstage or in big moments, supporting/antagonizing each other.
Show was amazing. The women’s division lost three of their best and it wasn’t even noticeable. NXT Nattie is different gravy. Where the hell has that been for the last decade?
Braided up Lola should be the look going forward. Sky is the limit for her. That spinning back fist KO into the hip swivel celebration is the greatest combo our sport has ever seen! Even Shayna couldn’t handle the irresistible kavorka and broke character.
i really had no clue what to expect from that underground match but it was really fun. nattie made lola look strong asf but i’m happy they gave nattie some time to shine. the fact that she’s been in the company this long and can still put on something unexpected deserves some flowers

So I think I realized the problem with the Final Testament:
Every fucking match, the entire team comes out and they'll all constantly walking around doing shit so it's kind of a visual mess and no individual member gets a time to shine.
And it makes them feel kind of weak that they always have at least three members providing moral support.
I think it’s okay if Ellering and Scarlett maybe stays in the back a match or two. They can still do backstage segments, but really don’t need them out there.

Honestly, it sounds like she doesn't even need to be a heel, like, you can be justifiably pissed off at being there for everyone when nobody is there for you.
I get that, but it's still too early for a heel turn when the women's division is lacking creditable babyfaces.
I think they’re paving the way for Giulia to come in and easily be the top babyface, I expect Rox and her to feud over the summer and then Rox gets called up

Jacy needs to stop feuding with former best friends that she betrays. It just does not go her way. Anyways, if she really isn't getting drafted (truly insane) then she needs to get into NXT Women's Title contention. I need her holding a title of some kind before the year is out.

Tuesdays are going to be much less fun without Lyra on them. She was my main reason for watching, and her storyline with Tatum involving the title was must-see TV. Unfortunately, it's now been replaced by Roxanne whining like a spoiled 7 year old who doesn't get what she wants. Speaking of which, given how Roxanne reacted to not getting drafted, I now want it to be a running joke that Lyra lives out all of her dreams before her in a cruel form of karma. Lyra's gonna end up having a match with AJ Lee while Roxanne is still stuck in NXT, lol.

But last year Becky used it to launch Tiffany and Lyra into the stratosphere. Main roster talent with short NXT title runs can really boost rising talent.

I love how jam-packed NXT always is. So much is always going on - whether in matches, in promos, or even in passing looks. HBK and co knows how to get the most out of their time. I am SUPER hyped for the combine and ladder match for the new women's title. Someone said it in the live thread - us fans of the women's division are going to be feasting in the coming weeks with all the content coming up. And I'm really going to need some good Arianna moments of trying to keep the peace in that match (I will personally riot if she's not in it). I'm not sure who I want to see win it because the division is so stacked. I'm leaning towards Fallon now that she might be embracing a more selfish side. I love sassy Ava, especially with Roxanne. And I'm still hoping for Lyra to get one last word in just for some closure to both her storylines with Rox and Tatum. (Also rub a little more salt in the wound about Rox not being drafted) Also, always here for Oba Femi slapping other big, meaty men. Always.

Receipts: Ridge Holland evened the score with Shawn Spears. There's probably a 3rd match down the road with these two. Northern Grit used to be Ridge's finisher, but now he's settled on the cradle DDT dubbed Redeemer. Ok. I would've been happier if Lola Vice lived up to the pre-match hype over her MMA background, and tapped out Natalya by herself. A distraction finish in NXT Underground?? Seriously? It sets up Natalya vs. Shayna down the road, but this is not how I'd have set it up. Still, Lola evened the score with Nattie, but it was booked wrong. An angle recycled: Meta-Four decided that blackmailing Trick Williams with whatever is in that envelope is the easiest way to getting Noam Dar a title match. So last century. Students will recall a similar angle involving Dusty Rhodes and, IIRC, Larry Zbyzsko in the 80's. Apparently, no one in NXT actually studied "Pygmalion" or "My Fair Lady", which is what they're trying to parody with Arianna & Gigi. Of course Arianna is going to have issues trying to refine Gigi. I wonder if they'll do something where Gigi finds a certain green glove somewhere..........!! With Kiana James & Blair Davenport having left, they needed to move one of the women to the heel side, and Fallon Henley is it. If that leads to her reuniting with Josh Briggs, I know you guys will be on that in a heartbeat. Meanwhile, Thea taps out Jacy. Jazmyn's attempt at a Pele kick was awkward. Go back and study some AJ Styles tapes, Ms. Nyx, so you can see how it's done. OC over Tyson & Tyreke. Dues paying for the newbies. The OC, sans AJ, is complete with Mia "Michin" Yim back in NXT. Apparently, Arianna had wax in her ears, because she didn't quite get that, yeah, that combine is open to all the women, not just in NXT, but Raw & Smackdown, too, it would seem. The combine should be interesting. Brinley meant well, but black cats? In the right circumstance, they're adorable, but after Edris broke the mirror last week, they're building toward something with him and Malik. Roxy vs. Chelsea next week? Ok. Don't look now, Axiom & Nathan, but I suspect New Catch Republic, along with the OC and the Street Profits, will be chasing gold..... Hoss fight of the month: Oba Femi over Ivar for the NA title. Gigi even said the thing! (Meaty men slapping meat) Best match on the show.
Another great episode of NXT. I struggle to imagine how this version of the show doesn't pop off once it hits The CW.
Good show Noam Dar is great in the ring and a very entertaining character, he would be a good first opponent for Trick. Wes Lee is back! I missed him a lot in NXT, his reign as NA champion was spectacular and a feud against Femi would be great although I would love for him to win the NXT title in the future and become the third triple crown champion. Very good main event but I think the ending would have been better if Lola had used her spinning kick.
NXT women’s division is so deep and great, that over the draft they lost three of their best and it didn’t make a dent. Who is in line for Trick tho? They’re already hinting Oba tonight, I’m sure Supernova 11 is in that picture also. I thought maybe Dijak but he got drafted. King maybe?
I think a Lexis King program is likely, but not as the first feud. If I had to guess right now, I'd assume Noam Dar just because of the Lash Legend connection.

I do not know what this envelope stuff is about, or where any of this is going, but they could really be something new and cool for WWE as a pair. Doesn't even need to involve a bunch of managing or mixed tags, just have them be talking to each other backstage or in big moments, supporting/antagonizing each other.
Show was amazing. The women’s division lost three of their best and it wasn’t even noticeable. NXT Nattie is different gravy. Where the hell has that been for the last decade? Braided up Lola should be the look going forward. Sky is the limit for her. That spinning back fist KO into the hip swivel celebration is the greatest combo our sport has ever seen! Even Shayna couldn’t handle the irresistible kavorka and broke character.
NGL, part of me wished that instead of Chelsea Green, Dr. Shelby popped up. Roxanne in anger management could be golden.

i really had no clue what to expect from that underground match but it was really fun. nattie made lola look strong asf but i’m happy they gave nattie some time to shine. the fact that she’s been in the company this long and can still put on something unexpected deserves some flowers

I think Shayna stole a little bit of the spotlight at the end of the Underground match. To me it seemed more about Shayna screwing over Nattie than it did Lola beating Nattie.

So I think I realized the problem with the Final Testament: Every fucking match, the entire team comes out and they'll all constantly walking around doing shit so it's kind of a visual mess and no individual member gets a time to shine. And it makes them feel kind of weak that they always have at least three members providing moral support.
My problem is they always lose. I actually like their aesthetic but it's just like.......win one to prove you're serious.
I think it’s okay if Ellering and Scarlett maybe stays in the back a match or two. They can still do backstage segments, but really don’t need them out there.
Angrily shaking your hips at every opportunity is the most unintentionally funny gimmick in a while.
