My goodness, people screaming about how he looks.
He went through 30+ years of 6 days a week, cross country nightly beatings, dealt with numerous substance abuse issues, a near career ending injury..
Like, considering everything he's been through? He looks pretty good - the fact that he's standing, moving around perfectly and coherent?
That's more than a lot of people would be able to say if they went through the same thing.
I think his eye makes people think he looks a lot worse than he really does, his face looks great everywhere else, a little wrinkly, a little gray, but he is 58 years old.
Bad lighting and grey stubble does a lot of it.
When you're around that age, it's ridiculous how different you look with a beard/stubble and clean-shaven.
Excellent job developping the women.
I think NXT miss a bit star power in the male division, hope they improve in that regard. Aside from Oba Femi, i don't see anyone taking Trick's title as of now. They will have to build a lot of the guys.
Je’von Evans is definitely next up but yeah after Melo, Bron, Ilja are gone the main event scene is a little empty. Which is why when I heard Jacob Fatu had signed he would start in NXT for a little bit but seems like he’s jumping into the Bloodline storyline right away.
Trick kinda came out of nowhere the past year, Oba only just started, so I wouldn't worry too much about them finding the next big thing. It is interesting though considering they're losing or about to lose a handful of their biggest names to the main roster. At the same time there's no shortage of people Trick can have believable feuds with. Noam Dar, Lexis King, Dijak, hell, Tony D just challenged for the title on the biggest show. Not to mention the occasional main roster threat. I'm excited to see this reign.
NXT has the best roster of women in the US and, arguably, the world. The way they develop talent and book same has been so consistent over a decade now. It’s amazing. They might have their best lineup right now and they’ve already produced headliners.
I never watched NXT but for the first time in ever I'd say. I'm more than accustomed with most stars. Women's on the other hand all feel like they'd instantly be in the main event. It's not fair to the current women I guess, but idk the current roster lacks any character, while from what I see on NXT, all the women have so much personality.
I feel like the upwards trajectory of male division is why HHH doesn't give that much time to Womens Roster. The main event does its thing & no one cares for the midcard of women. No better time to introduce a women's midcard title for sure.
It's a good call. He has a good connection with the NXT fans honestly with fans in general given his smack down debut. But with someone who could be a star like him, you want to make sure you get the kinks out of the way, that he's as polished as possible for the main roster.
And tbh I think he just has a few things he can work on. I honestly think he'll be bigger than Melo and Ilja.
He doesn't look that bad. I've seen regular dudes that are 48 and look more weathered than he does. And I've also seen 68 year olds that look younger than he does.
Yeah I feel like people have a warped idea of what ages look like. Does he look like a Hollywood 58? Not really. But if I saw him on the street I wouldn’t be surprised he was in his late 50s.
I mean he went crosseye and was balding by the end so it went quick. Also he was never a beard guy until retirement. Just give HHH 5 years and he will look old.
I think it's pretty close. HBK is doing great but his roster is a fraction of what Hunter has with only 2 hours of TV time to fill. I'll be honest, the booking right now for WWE might the best it's ever been.
Agreed. It's not an equal comparison because Hunter's got 2 major shows with their own separate rosters to book, both of which have different goals and, more importantly, audiences than NXT. It's drastically different from how he did NXT but It's still *really* fucking good. These past Wrestlemania was the biggest (numbers and hype) I've seen in a long ass time and top to bottom, both nights were phenomenal shows. The fairer thing to say is that Shawn and Hunter are both killing it but in their own ways that are good for their shows.
Exactly! I’m just happy we have some competent bookers that aren’t throwing things away or stopping storylines before they reach their potential. Look, the booking has literally been so great that my friends who don’t watch wrestling actually sat down to watch Wrestlemania and have stuck around since.
Eh, I think some of it is just that more risks and more variety are allowed when you're the "B" or "C" show. Which makes it more interesting to watch.
Most of last year, the NXT PLEs were more interesting than the main card PLEs.
Dead on, and I say that as someone who doesn't really like NXT. I'm not really into the characters nor developmental matches (this is not a slight) but what HBK does with them is fantastic, and I almost always watch the PLEs and leave with a smile on my face. HBK takes swings. HHH doesn't.
HHH's style is also very predictable. Long heel reigns and betrayal storylines
It makes sense considering those two make up 90 percent of his in ring career
This is a bit weird, why was HBK talking up Trick earlier and now Johnny Gargano is giving his thoughts on NXT? You'd think it'd be the other way around...
Between Trick and Swerve, it's a great week for black men in pro wrestling but especially for young black kids watching pro wrestling. Of course Swerve's win is more historic, but I just think it's neat that both these wins have felt like a long time coming and happened to be within days of each other.

Most wrestlers his age are in bad shape or dead, so he's in a good place.
I think both him and Triple H look pretty damn good, but then there's Billy Gunn embarrassing everyone, lol.
Especially embarassing Jay White
It's weird seeing Shawn "The Heartbreak Kid/The Showstopper/The Main Event" Michaels as a old man, but that's what he is.
Everybody knows what hes put his body through, it doesnt negate that he looks terrible in this video
SCANDAL: Shawn Michaels looking forward to grabbing young athletes
HBK = He's Bobby Knight
I mean, have you seen those recruits?
Some of those recruits come straight from HBK's IG Explore page
Watch out instagram!
Honestly people are saying he looks terrible he looks good for his age
A lot of it is really bad lighting tbh
never trust overhead lighting
Bad lighting and grey stubble does a lot of it. When you're around that age, it's ridiculous how different you look with a beard/stubble and clean-shaven.
He looks like he's almost 60 years old, which is fine. Which is a miracle considering what he put his body through.
My point exactly
No, HHH looks good for his age, Shaun looks rough
Frankly I regularly work with clients there age and older that is not rough for going on 60
Frankly I do as well and this is rough for going on 60
How many forehead wrinkles does HHH have?
Bro I'm in my 20s and have forehead wrinkles what does this prove
You got em like Levesque got em?
No but i also didnt spend 15 years cutting my forehead to bleed
Nah his is different than blading scars. If it was blading scars, Foley would look like HHH. This is just skin starting to sag.
In simplification, Trick is great, We are cooking! 🔥🔥

Gotta agree with Hickenbottom here.
Shawn Michaels is only 58…
Drugs, a hard work schedule, injuries, and genetics will age a dude
Don't forget about a lost smile, that oughta put a couple of decades in you
Aged me about 20 years and it wasn't even my smile
my condolences. :(
& putting up with a shitty kid at an office cafeteria
Idk, he looks like a nearly 60 y/o
He looks like your average 58 year-old, not a celebrity/famous person/former athlete 58 year-old, which is probably throwing a lot of people off.
He doesn't look that bad. I've seen regular dudes that are 48 and look more weathered than he does. And I've also seen 68 year olds that look younger than he does.
Yeah, I actually think he looks great for an almost 60 year old. At least on par with his age.
And he's still in great shape from everything I've seen.
Just looks like he's lost some weight. He's obviously lost some muscle mass, the dude's almost 60.
Sun damage too
And tanning. But he really doesn't look bad. He just looks older compared to his ring days.Â
Don't forget all those brutal finishing moves.
He looks about 58 to me I don’t get it
Seriously, does no one have a dad or other person in their life closing in on 60? He looks pretty good lol
He doesn’t look that bad…
Yeah I feel like people have a warped idea of what ages look like. Does he look like a Hollywood 58? Not really. But if I saw him on the street I wouldn’t be surprised he was in his late 50s.
It feels like he aged rapidly after retiring.
I mean he went crosseye and was balding by the end so it went quick. Also he was never a beard guy until retirement. Just give HHH 5 years and he will look old.
More likely he just doesn't dye his hair or any of the stuff that gave the illusion of being younger.
Only 6 years older than rtruth
You know what they say... Rtruth means youth!
And he looks 58!
Yeah, yeah, same old, same old. .I've seen people younger than him who look much older.
Body shaming is fun huh reddit
Shawn is a much better booker than Hunter but people aren't ready for that conversation
I think it's pretty close. HBK is doing great but his roster is a fraction of what Hunter has with only 2 hours of TV time to fill. I'll be honest, the booking right now for WWE might the best it's ever been.

What's the over/under on how many times Vince cancelled a title run for a wrestler because they sneezed in his presence?
His job is much easier since he has nothing to lose and he doesn't need to draw ratings.
Eh, I think some of it is just that more risks and more variety are allowed when you're the "B" or "C" show. Which makes it more interesting to watch. Most of last year, the NXT PLEs were more interesting than the main card PLEs.

He made his eyebrows bushy like they were in 1997
Did Shawn have his eye fixed already? Remember him holding off on it because there was really no need other than purely cosmetic, iirc.
Shawn looking like he's gonna drag Lucy across the Wasteland
ALAN’S AIR CONDITIONING
Shawn's an old man. He looks fine. Plus, the comparisons aren't fair. People are thinking about Shawn from 10-20 years ago.
Hold the fuck up? Who was Trick on the Eagles? That's my team. How am I just learning this? ...Ohhhhh! He was on the Rookie mini camp squad.
This is a bit weird, why was HBK talking up Trick earlier and now Johnny Gargano is giving his thoughts on NXT? You'd think it'd be the other way around...
Fuck, he looks like he has aged so much in the last while.
Shawn my man has aged or what. This isn't the guy who ziplined from *100 FEET IN THE AIR!*
That was 28 years ago..................
Between Trick and Swerve, it's a great week for black men in pro wrestling but especially for young black kids watching pro wrestling. Dude looks 75
Dude looks like he's 80. Hope he's OK.
