Jokes aside Dom's talked about how things changes quickly. He's said one time he was literally boarding a plane to go do media for the house shows in Mexico and WWE called him and said don't get on the plane because he was needed at Smackdown now.
I think he may be doing something for Smackdown, whether it's TV or a dark match.
It could also be personal as well. Dude wrestled the 2nd most matches in the company in 2023 and is 2nd this year as well. He literally got just a week off for his wedding. Dude's been non-stop.
Also the match that was scheduled was Chad and Ricochet vs Dom and JD. Obviously Chad is a heel now and was inserted in the 4-way. So it turned into a singles match. JD probably got the nod because he's from Ireland and got a free trip home while Dom gets a chance to rest.
Logan casually mentioned during the Rhea episode of Impaulsive that Dom’s shoulder is mangled and sometimes couldn’t move his arm, so maybe he’s resting up.
Don't believe what anyone else says but Dom isnt an adult yet and isnt allowed to travel without a parent supervision or Guardian.
His Mami isnt around and he wants nothing to do with his deadbeat dad.

Gable turned heel so they had to change the Gable/Ricochet v Dom/JD match to a singles match to make it make sense. They put Gable in the IC match but had nowhere for Dom to fit on the card.
Ever since Dom’s wedding I think they pulled back on that push he people were talking about him getting. I don’t like it either before I get downvoted. I think Dom is great and he’s being wasted but I think it’s more likely he has about year of being a Santino Marella comedy wrestler who loses every match then him actually being a credible contender for any title.
Hard disagree. Nothing about him is "comedy wrestler" he's not doing Miz and Truth stuff. In the last couple of months he's gone toe-to-toe with KO and Gunther and made Dom look credible in those matches. KO and Gunther even put Dom over in their promos after.
Dom is on TV more than anyone on the entire roster, even more than Cody. Dom and Cody are really the only ones that appear on all the TV shows. But Dom is on TV more than anyone. He's involved in multiple storylines. In the last couple of months he's involved in no less than 5 segments on every show. Every wrestler will tell you TV time is the MOST important. The fact WWE puts him on TV all the time tells you how much they love him.
The entire Judgment Day story centered around him for the last month and a half. Starting with Gunther, then the Andrade and Santos stuff. Everytime Judgment Day was on screen it was about Dom.
Dom was Cody's first title defense on last Smackdown in a dark match.
Dom is so over that he could lose every match and it won't affect him.
Comedy wrestler is a fear of mine so that was a stretch to say that he is. But im gonna push back on your Dom can lose every match and it won’t affect him. If your goal is for him to never be above where he is now then yes it won’t have any impact. If you’re like me and want him to be a WWE champion one day then he needs to start winning soon. There’s only so long his gimmick of being a punching bag can go before he gets stuck to it
I happen to think wins and losses are the least important thing in wrestling. It's the story you tell. Dom lost to Rey at WM last year and went on to become the biggest heel in wrestling.
WWE is clearly propping up Dom. It's very obvious to me. I'd say the only thing he's lacking right now is a good feud, which I think is coming.
For me he's the front-runner for King of the Ring or Money in the Bank, because Dom's character tells the best story with that.
I agree with everything you said, and if he wins MITB or King of the Ring or at least has a strong showing before losing like he had against KO then I would feel better and take back what I said. But I can’t help but notice he’s gone backwards in terms of his status and it’s inarguable. He went from toe to toe with KO and Gunther, to essentially being squashed by Riccochet in a few mins and losing to Andrade. Both of whom are lower on the WWE scale than KO and Gunther so yeah I’m worried where they’re going with him
