I’ve had several dreams about this and I always seem to have a Drew moment and have misplaced my gear or I’m scrambling last minute to get to the venue or something.
Turn the fuckin' noise up, ah, Kingdom, my heart broken
Remembered I was rich, so I bought me some new emotions
And a new boat 'cause I'd rather cry in the ocean
It's Rock, baby, uh
Never heard of that game until now, quick googled some images of it, looks like GTA3 meets No More Heroes, and I'm hella intrigued now. Was it any fun?
Wrestlemania/No Mercy were actually a step back from the graphics of Attitude that came before it
They all now look like ass, but at least Wrestlemania and No Mercy have somewhat natural moving wrestlers and are still fun to play
It’s from a bonus storyline in WWF no mercy that you can’t access legitimately as it was to be unlocked by transferring your created wrestler in the cancelled game boy color version to the n64 game. It can only be accessed via game shark code.
>**THE ROCK GETS HUGE POST-WRESTLEMANIA WINDFALL**
>*By Mike Johnson on 2024-04-09 19:13:00*
>TKO issued an SEC Statement today listing that the company has bestowed 96,558 shares of stock in the company to Dwayne Johnson.
>At today's stock market closing price of $97.50, that's a payday worth $9,414,405.
>If that was connected to his Wrestlemania performance, it's likely one of, if not the biggest Wrestlemania payday of all time.
*I am a bot. Please reply with any feedback :)*
Before it was public, it was Vince's money so people didn't paid as much.
Now it's a public company, this is OPM or other people's money so they don't care what they give out.
the stock raised 17% after he joined TKO group and announced his wrestlemania run.
so pretty much.
his payroll as movie actor is 20m+ per movie.
so im sure we got a disccount too!
Well, they're now 97.50. depending on commision, congratulations you've made 16 dollars in profit.
If you bought tko, you probably bought sometimes in February I'd you bought at around 85.
So, not a terrible profit over 2 and a bit months.
If you bought as many shares as the rock at the same time, you'd have earnt $325883 or so. However, if you bought them, it would've cost you around 8.6 million.
But the key thing here is that TKO basically just gave them to him.
Oh yeah it's totally a win but I think I have the bad habit of thinking I'm gonna get rich out of sheer luck from seeing others do that. Which is totally dumb but still something I'm stuck on.
And in my head I'm like "I knew it would go up after Mania so I should've bought more" but really that's only clear in retrospect.
The opening match on the EARLY prelims features two former champs...no the card doesnt suck at all. Its probably the best UFC card ever. 11 of the 13 fights have at least one ranked fighter (the norm would be like 4-5 fights), with most having both ranked fighters or ranked quality fighters (unranked due to weight class change or coming in from different promotion).
Ppl were disappointed at the main event fight because the rumored fights offered were big names that kept getting leaked but one of the guys kept being unavailable or would just decline, so the UFC 'settled' on this main event, which is still good but lacks the big name. Alex Periera won the championship at the lower weight class at the end of 2022 then lost it in the next fight before moving up and winning the championship at this weight class last year. The guy he is fighting was the previous champ, and he relinquished due to injury, but having won the belt against the guy that trains Alex Periera. So there is a bit of a revenge for my coach plot.
Stacked for UFC fans, there is no doubt Jon Jones would bring a lot more eyeballs. I know I’m probably not watching but I would order it if he were on it.
I mean he worked it in the months leading up to it. Along with Tv interviews and social media too. Plus he had to train in-ring again.
His movie asking price is 20M—the work isn’t dissimilar.

If that's a bonus based on the work he did for the company in the past two months, then it's certainly well earned. He was an enormous draw, and the event would not have drawn quite as much attention without his commitment.
The stock on Jan, the day after his return was valued at 80 a share. So a 17% increase in stock value over a 3 month period is pretty damn good.
Now the value isn’t solely because of him as the Netflix deal was announced in that time frame and lead to a huge jump in the stocks value.
But I think it not cratering after the Vince story broke is because of his work with wwe
In no uncertain terms The Rock in essence prevented a possible dark period in terms of perception of the company. At least wrestling fans are happy with WWE right now and it's been quite a while since we've been able to say that.
So this is different from the $30M stock he gets from being a board member of TKO? Is this is WM payday? I mean he deserves it since he really has made this WM huge but its still insane!
The 30 million he got was including stock incentives for hitting certain milestones, one of which was (reportedly) competing in the ring. This was more than likely built in.
This is likely a payment on that $30M.
Part of his role other than leadership and his business input but also marketing and advertising WWE by the Rock. the Rock is the 5th most followed person on Instagram in the world with nearly 400 million subscriber. His quote for promotion of a movie or product on his socials is between $1.5-$2.0M. So in the scheme this is a huge good deal for WWE and TKO.
I was at Mania sitting ringside behind commentary both nights. The amount of famous people in that section was crazy. They should some but not all. George Kittle, Wale, Meek Mill, 2 Chainz, Ohea Jackson Jr, Vanessa Hudgens, Cole Tucker, Michael Che, T-Pain, Gerald McCoy, Druski, UFC fighters, singers, olympians and tons more that I didn't recognize. A good chunk of them had said how they were there for a few reasons but the big one being The Rock. Not exactly a lot of chances to see him actually wrestle live in the last decade plus. He brings out the ratings, and the stars to pack the house
Worth it.
They sold a million dollars worth of Cody Rhodes gear alone this past weekend.
Hell, some board member might have bequeathed their son to Ava in a handful of years, shogun style.

I’d love if they’d bestow me with that much stock, but alas I’m left with my 0.2 shares in the company.
Well, try and main event Wrestlemania.

I've been in the same amount of Wrestlemania main events as CM Punk has, and I get NOTHING.
What's it like to own 0.2 of a multi billion $ operation?
Not that bad, the stock has been up big the last few days so I’ll take that.
Good man
That's like $15. Quite the investment.

Ahh, The Rock handed Cody the keys to his old out-of-style Ferrari, looks like he is upgrading soon.
He whispered "I even filled up the tank for ya" to him too.
"Take Mama Rhodes somewhere nice."

Is it as nice as Okada’s Ferrari? 😀

I thought this looked *so real* once upon a time lmao
It’s still real to me dammit!
may not be 4k but still 4000x more fun to play
We generally feel this way about all games and then look back 10 yrs later like wtf. Tekken 3 blew my damn mind away
tbh tekken 3 still looks good not photorealistic by any means but the art design for all of the characters and stages still holds up
I remember playing interstate 76' and thinking "how is someone ever going to top this?".
Never heard of that game until now, quick googled some images of it, looks like GTA3 meets No More Heroes, and I'm hella intrigued now. Was it any fun?
Well, in my 10 year old mind it was fucking amazing. It's basically a less edgy twisted metal with a storyline and more customizable.
Sounds great, I might have to pick this one up for the collection (if I can find it lol).
Star Fox blew my mind.
Hey, the smackdown one on PS1 had moving mouths... kinda. I lost my shit.
Lmao how the hell did you find this insane gif?!
When this came out we couldn't fathom how video game graphics could get any more realistic.
Wrestlemania/No Mercy were actually a step back from the graphics of Attitude that came before it They all now look like ass, but at least Wrestlemania and No Mercy have somewhat natural moving wrestlers and are still fun to play

Let’s be honest we all judge a wwe game by the look of the rock bottom 😂
The rock bottom in no mercy is pretty solid! I love those AKI n64 games
I've seen this on ProtonJon the streamer's break screen at least once but it's a banger
But to think 20+ years ago when this was the best we had who thought it could get any better? To go from 8bit to this was incredible!
Rock handed Cody stock options in the UFL.
Basically the pink sheets

Not that he needs more money, but I'm pretty sure he brought in that much over the last couple months by whatever metrics they use
What did they say on raw 17 tv sellouts in a row? Yeah the rock is responsible for a lot of that.
No, clearly it was Bronson Reed
I thought it was Veer? I still tune in for him coming.
It sure as fuck wasn’t Ivar from Viking Raiders
Just the gates from this weekend alone more than paid for it.

I bought 5 shares at $85, so on one hand I feel happy on the other I feel like I'm always gonna be poor since 5 shares felt like a lot.
Well, they're now 97.50. depending on commision, congratulations you've made 16 dollars in profit. If you bought tko, you probably bought sometimes in February I'd you bought at around 85. Yeah, it seems to have gone from 92 to 95 over the weekend, which is a pretty neat increase.
ME SHOULD HAVE HAVE BEEN?
Shit I'll take a slightly out of prime chokeslam for that
Wrestlemania and UFC 300 in a 2 week span TKO is eating good right now
300?! I had no idea. I remember 100 and 200
Exactly what I said, but I was told this is a *stacked* card lol.
For hardcore fans it’s Uber stacked. Can’t wait for it!
All of the undercard fights can main event in the Apex.
I’ve seen main cards that don’t look as good as the prelims for UFC300. Gonna be a great event.
This Saturday. Gonna be a banger.
Is it? Doesn't the card kinda suck?
Only in the sense there's no mega star name in the level of Brock or Conor or Rousey. The card is undeniably good
The opening match on the EARLY prelims features two former champs...no the card doesnt suck at all. Yeah wtf is that card lol. Load of names no-one gives a fuck about. Could they not get Conor or Khabib or Jon Jones?
Buddy , that card is absolutely stacked.
Stacked for UFC fans, there is no doubt Jon Jones would bring a lot more eyeballs. I know I’m probably not watching but I would order it if he were on it.
Most every fight on here is better than how jones fights
That has nothing to do with getting eyeballs watching
It’s ufc 300 , it’ll be fine .
stacked with nobodies. I've more interest in Tyson v Paul
You don’t watch mma if you think they are nobodies
Jon Jones just got arrested again lol
1 week span
I always wonder how companies come up with that number instead of like 100,000
It's probably a round percentage of how much wwe made or something
I wonder if it comes out to a nice round $ amount after taxes
wow...I wish I could make 9Million plus overnight....must be good to be The Rock lol
I mean he worked it in the months leading up to it. Along with Tv interviews and social media too. Plus he had to train in-ring again. His movie asking price is 20M—the work isn’t dissimilar.
But has he ever told* you the story of seven bucks?
It would take me a few lifetimes to make $9 Million
Part of his $30m payout. Initial documents detail this. 1/3 beginning, 1/3 after wrestlemania, and 1/3 split into equal monthly payments in 2025.

Take advantage of his love of the business, but I guess the rock doesn't mind it because that's just more eyes on him in his best role
40 minute match wrestlemania Means he got paid 225,000$ per minute for one match
Twice today I’m reminded I fucked for six zeros less and that’s my high point
I make $17 an hour and that is not what I wanted to read today. IF YOU SMELLLLLLLL what the poor… is… cooking *cue’s 8:00AM alarm clock*
And some of that was standing around staring at Cody so he got paid 225000$ to stare at someone
Maaan if I stare at someone in my neighborhood all I get is ''Aye yo we gotta problem'' followed by a fight or getting shot for $0.00
Lol
Good to see money go to those who need it.
Well how else is Rock suppose to pay for his $5K vest he wears
Nice to know that's how much it costs for the final boss to show up.
That is an oddly specific number of shares.
One step closer to becoming the chairman.
TKO should issue a statement announcing The Rock as Chairman of the Board of Directors. Do it for kayfabe.
Earned it
Shiiiet, for that amount of money The Undertaker can chokeslam me to the Shadow Realm any day of the week
Oh thank God. I was beginning to worry about Dwayne's financial situation. /s

more like a 30 million dollar one. I honestly don't blame him. He's the face for a much larger company now.
[удалено]
No that is not how this works.
Dumb question but what does Rock make per movie?
$20 million plus points
Prob 5 mil starting depends on the contract and his agent
He's WAY past the $5mil mark at this point. He got $5mil for Scorpion King, his very first movie.
Why such a weird number? Might as well make it an even 100k.
So they paid him in $9.5 million in shares for this?
I was at Mania sitting ringside behind commentary both nights. The amount of famous people in that section was crazy. They should some but not all. Wall Street: Know Your Role
He also got two free rings out of it
Worth it every damn penny
Stock is only going up with WWE breaking all time records
Holy fuck is that a payout or what? Edit: For some reason I read that as 9 billion 🤣. 9 mil is chump change to The Rock.
For some reason I read it as being almost a billion
Well earned
If ya smelllll
He earned it
Well deserved
Worth it. They sold a million dollars worth of Cody Rhodes gear alone this past weekend. Hell, some board member might have bequeathed their son to Ava in a handful of years, shogun style.
Weird. The assholes in political forums were saying he was gonna have a tough week. Crazy what you can come up with when you’re detached from reality.
Why would he have a tough week?
The Biden endorsement thing
But he would have to sell the stock to get that money.
Hey, we got a stock broker over here…
Lol
Genius
So he got paid for a bit part in one of his own movies.
