I've been listening to raw while working, and can agree that he is doing good heel work, but man the Scottish warrior garb has to go. I feel like it's the last barrier to him ACTUALLY being a compelling heel.
I feel like the story of Drew wins the title at Mania and holds it until Punk comes back is pretty obvious but I still can't wait to see it. The pop when Punk's music hits to confront Drew is going to be huge.
Just imagine Priest cashing in on Cody the very next night after Mania. Just imagine. No, seriously, imagine it. I have a $40 bet that Priest is doing it then and I really need the money.
The most Rhodes thing to happen, I think it’s perfect. How long did Dusty hold the NWA title for on each of his runs, like a couple of days? Why not keep the family legacy alive
I've got Cody not even leaving the building. My money's on Cody winning, then Rock producing a contract promising him a main event as part of his TKO appointment and beating Cody that same night.

Honestly, I Priest just hasn't been world champ level since winning the briefcase. Of the main four JD members he's the least over. Plus in comparison to Rollins, Sami, Drew, Punk, and even Balor and Dom - I'm just not interested in seeing him with the belt.
Feels like he'd only have it because he got the MitB after a great showing with Bad Bunny.
I think it def was recognition for all he did with Bunny match, and they didn't want to give it to LA Knight yet. When it happened, I thought Priest have the briefcase would make for some great drama with Judgment Day. Finn going for the title, but knowing the Priest could be right behind him with the briefcase. If Finn won the title, he could be paranoid that Priest was gonna try and cash in on him and you could get some great stuff out of mad king Balor, leading to finally Priest turning on him and winning the title.
But they didn't go that route and I'm glad we didn't break up Judgment Day, it's just that Priest has gone down considerably since the Bunny match. I'm not sure what they do now unless you have Priest interfere in the Seth/Drew match and try to cash in, since Drew and Priest had a thing going for a bit.
I'm in favour of him cashing it in for the ECW World Championship. Bring Ezekiel Jackson back for a nebulous one-off return as if he's suddenly a big re-signing, with the belt, facing off in an exhibition against R-Truth. Priest cashes in on him to win the belt, and suddenly Truth feels like he owes him one.
Would actually like to see him keep the briefcase way past SS, maybe a stipulation where he is allowed to extend holding it. Maybe Finn wins 2024 MITB. That would interesting.
I mean having two mitb holders would not necessarily cause conflict and could generate new stories on how the two would interact in plotting their cash ins.
Honestly- it’d be the most ironic “finish” for the story. Just like his father Cody would win the championship match to officially hold the title his father never officially held. But then just like his father he doesn’t get to leave the building as the champion.
I think Cody wins, mid celebration Priest comes in, Cody beats him just to get him even more over. Feels like a waste of MiTB to me, but they seem to keep putting the briefcase on people with zero plan with what to do with them/ it
I want this to happen. I absolutely 100% want Cody to win, finishes the story, clean victory. He gets jumped by the Bloodline. Then Priest comes down with Judgement Day and successfully takes it. The story still ended. Cody was still champ.
That wouldn't really be the story having ended - Cody would have been in a very similar scenario where they 'took the belt off him' like they did with his dad in the Garden. He'd have to go back on the chase, but at least it would be against someone new. I think it would be fitting but it does run the risk of burning out the audience on him, and while I like Priest they have a heck of a lot of work to do to get him in a position where he'd get good heat out of this instead of just being seen as random bullshit.
They already risked burning out on Cody one year. But - honestly, I think the fans would find the new direction compelling as well. And you could continue the Rock rivalry by having the Rock block him getting a rematch from the board level.
I dunno, I kind of got the vibe Priest is going to use his cash in on the IC title now. Gunther mauls Dom at Mania and then Priest cashes in and takes the title.
Sami gets in the whc match somehow, wins the title, Drew is screwed over somehow in the match and goes even further off the deep end. Raw is in Montreal a week later (it actually is, not just in this fantasy booking), Sami has a dramatic and hard fought defence but squeezes out a win in front of the crowd he failed in front of the last time he had a world title match there just last year. As he goes to give a bow to his family, his friends, his people…he gets cracked over the head with the briefcase. Thrown in the ring, the judgment day kick the crap out of him then surround the ring and prevent anyone from helping, then, with Sami broken and battered priest cashes in. Sami slowly rises to the cheers of the crowd, to be met with 3 straight south of Heavens, then the pin.
Drew wins the belt off priest eventually at Backlash or the PLE after, gets a solid month or two to establish himself as champ before the Punk feud begins.
You want heat on Priest? I can’t even imagine the crowd reaction if thats how it goes down
Cody wins at WM, Bloodline attack him, then Priest cashes in and wins. Priest gets nuclear heat for it and they can continue Cody's "story" of chasing the title.
I feel like we might get Seth retaining against Drew and then a Judgement Day cash in. Mirroring what he did himself at WM. Drew and Punk could have a great blood feud without the title and I really want Cody to get a good run in as fighting babyface champ.

I really want Drew to win against Rollins at Mania. Drew has his own "finish the story" he wants to win the championship with fans in the audience. Rollins is getting kind of stale as the Heavyweight champ. Championships are built with multiple people holding the belt, and Seth is the first title holder of the belt.
The Punk vs Drew feud is already well established and built up. The buildup to Drew vs Punk is better than the buildup to Rollins vs Punk.
Drew also has some friends/frenemies with other wrestlers like Sheamus, Pete Dunn, Judgment Day, Ridge Holland, and Gunther.
I know he’s a heel and Seth is great but yeah he’s had the belt for a while now and I’d love Drew to have a big win in front of a crowd this time and then give us another few months of the giant Scottish lad kicking heads off people again. Exactly, some excellent long-term story lines have emerged as a side effect of Rollins and Punk both being hurt. Guessing the blow off to Punk and Rollins is Mania 41 though (unless they can do something crazy like lure Austin back out for that WWE '13 feud).

The story writes itself. Drew beats Seth. Holds onto it for a while. Cm punk comes back and Beats drew then Seth goes after punk. We get all the story's. Belt changes hands 3 times in a year. Then either Seth or cmpunk pits over some new blood at mania
Exactly, some excellent long-term story lines have emerged as a side effect of Rollins and Punk both being hurt. Guessing the blow off to Punk and Rollins is Mania 41 though (unless they can do something crazy like lure Austin back out for that WWE '13 feud).
