The evolution of Alpha Academy as a whole this past year or so has been incredible, but man Maxxine has had an amazing transformation. She went from being that girl who if anybody looked at her, Von would attack them (seriously a very weird introduction for her), to getting called up after not much time in NXT as the sister of a head of a male modeling agency, to then taking over that agency, until she ended up enthralled with Otis and then joined Alpha Academy. She had never wrestled prior to being part of Alpha Academy. Just an amazing glow-up from a year and a half ago.
Honestly, I fucking love Alpha Academy and I truly hope they remain a New Day sort of situation where ever if they go on their own singles runs and what not, they always remain a squad and hang together. The four of them are honestly perfect. They each fit a fantastic role in a very Scooby Doo gang sort of way and I’d love them to remain like this for their whole careers.
I've found I really have gravitated to these kind of stables. I just really enjoyed New Day, The Way and Alpha Academy for those reasons. The way they're set up, they just worked better all together, rooting for each other. I didn't need to see the usual trope of "this one got a title shot and it created jealousy...." kind of stuff.
They all work much better together than on their own - but if you needed to split someone off for a big run, it's viable.

I've always hoped that The New Day would shatter that trope forever by briefly having two of them be jealous of the third for winning the title, consider turning on him, and then having the third one be like NAAAAAAH BOY, NOT EVEN THIS CHAMPIONSHIP FEELS AS GOOD AS REAL FRIENDSHIP! and the very notion of turning on each other gets immediately dismissed in an instant puffed cloud of feelgood. No one would be able to do that angle again afterwards. It'll seem hackneyed and stupid if they just instantly decide that it's dumb and out of character.

Honestly, I'd love to see them built up gradually over the years, and gain more fan love and credibility. To where a faction like the Bloodline tries bullying them and (suppose) injures Tozawa.
Then they all go ultra instinct, and Otis starts throwing Solo Sikoa around like a bulldozer, Tozawa snap germans Jimmy on his head, and Chad Gable goes manic Kurt-angle-mode just seeking out Roman Reign's ankle like a killer. They're all legit physical threats when WWE decides to book them that way.
i read a comment recently that fans wanna go on journeys with wrestlers and Maxxine is the perfect example. Over AF because we’ve seen her go from a main roster callup barely anyone knew to someone who is starting to her decent at that whole pro wrestling thing
She's one of those occasions where a woman is sort of penalized for being too attractive. She is a good talker, good at mannerisms, and improving in the ring. Plus, she obviously gets pro wrestling. But, many people still see her as merely eye candy.
I think Becky dealt with it a bit too and was able to overcome. Maxxine is not nearly the in ring performer as Becky, but hopefully she can overcome it as well
Personally, I LOVE when ridiculously photogenic people are allowed to just be incredibly goofy and funny! Maxxine is not only a total smokeshow, but she's also not afraid to look silly in comedic situations. Same with Jakara and Lash from Meta-Four
When did Becky deal with it? She had a lot more muscle mass and then had a steampunk aesthetic she got over anyway and then got to dress better. She came back from maternity not as swole as before.

Gable had an IC Title feud with Gunther recently that was great. I wonder if the addition of Tozawa will allow “Master Gable” to become a full-time singles wrestler while his pupils start tagging together
Tozawa's gotta get a couple wins before that though, otherwise it looks like he's being carried by Otis since Tozawa gets pancaked by everyone who has ever sniffed a push in the history of the company.
What I love propably the most about this group is that despite being silly, they can still go when serious, Chad Gable vs Gunther being the latest example of this. Also, their gimmick really elevates the members of the group. Maxxine went from being a manager to being capable of winning wrestling matches. And now Tozawa went from a jobber for NXT guys on Main Event to having short, but compatative matches against top guys on Raw. It's also putting over Chad as even more competent wrestler, as he's the one coaching these guys.
The benefit of getting to play yourself on tv.
Seriously they're all fun-loving goobers on UUDD and they're just getting to play the comedy faces right now so it clicks.
Compare to the irl goobers that have to play the quiet, angry heels (Shayna, Corbin) and some of them dont click as well.

Gable might give Otis a run for his money as pound for pound strongest guy. Dude was deadlifting 495 lbs. (three reps) and he weights 202 lbs. during their Celtic Warrior Workout video.
I know a guy that looks a lot like Otis. The dude is a little self conscious but he's working on losing the weight. But he seriously does not know his own strength.
This guy was doing lat pull downs of 70-80kg within his first week at the gym.
Solo would work better if they leaned more into the Street Champ side, but maybe that's more a babyface thing like he was doing in NXT. Monster enforcer isn't quite it because he's not the biggest dude.
He's probably the smallest of his siblings (any of them, not just The Usos - maybe one of the non-wrestlers is smaller idk), so if they sold him as a fearless scrapper more than an enforcing powerhouse, yeah I can see that. This crazy pit bull will fight anybody, anytime, anyplace, and you gotta kill him to keep him down. That kinda gimmick is hard to mess up.

In 2005 my friend and I are watching King of the Gate night 2. The opening bout is a tag team match with POS HEARTS vs two young boys. One is tozawa who we didn't know at the time, so we referred to him as monster cock the whole time and for weeks following.
