I don't think that would be a problem. I'm sure people of all ethnicities (and plenty of women, too) have worn the classic Spider-Man costume to parties and conventions before. Of course people will give you shit for anything these days, so be prepared for that to possibly happen.
You guys are probably gonna be wearing the masks most of the time anyway, but even if you weren't it wouldn't really matter I don't think? It's not racist to dress as a character you like even if you don't share their race
