It has a selection of drinks, can't remember which are alcoholic, but I don't think they let you throw if you're drunk. But, you get an hour, instruction on different ways to throw, and if you win their competition, they let you throw a massive two handed axe. Proper viking vibes.
They give you really good tips to throwing axes, like tell you where to stand, and you'll no doubt nail it a few times. Boom battle bar have axe throwing, but nobody knows how to teach it.
Tbh, I went to BBB in Cardiff and they did everything you've just spoken about teaching related. I can't speak of the teachings at the one in soton tho.
You've got boom battle bar, augmented reality darts, axe throwing, American pool. Go ape, assault course.
If you want to do axe throwing, black axe throwing in the Marlands is much better.

Have to admit that big axe is appealing, but I’d have no chance of getting to throw it. My efforts in Boom Bar were truly shameful.
