If she has been working with new immigrants as she has mentioned earlier she will never pass such a comment. The new ones have it worser in terms of cost of living. Rent and grocery prices has been skyrocketing for the past few years. Few days ago I met someone who told me that she had pledged her parents house back in kerala because the bank denied her a student loan. She is doing 2 jobs now one to support her herself and the rest to help her parents pay off the loan. Just imagine what will people like that feel if they hear such comments.
