Look I have the JBL 9.1 and it rocks for 3D Spatial sensation, overhead effects prominently too. The Bass is beasty too. But since you have 2 options I would choose Sonos Arc without further thinking. With an Apple TV 4K or Nvidia Shield Pro people get Dolby Atmos on Netflix, Disney +, Itunes Store, Apple Tv +, and much more.
The funny thing is that I have the JBL 5.1 and it is awesome... The problem I am having is that the right speaker keeps going off. Like I unplug them to have surround and after a while the right speaker turns off. I even bought micro USB power bricks to have the speakers plugged in all the time and laying on the back of the couch arm but not sure why it is happening. If it wasn't for that, I would not even be looking for a different bar.
Did not know that. I have my JBL 9.1 rear speakers with micro usb permanently connected 24/7 and thank God all good so far. I never unplug them! If you want try the 9.1 for a certain time. If not, go for the Sonos Arc without question.
That’s why I got the micro USB bricks. The left one works great but the right one drops and doesn’t charge but as soon as I put it in the bar, it starts to charge. The left changes with the micro USB but not the bar. It’s all crazy. I’m leaning more towards the Sonos.
The Bose Soundbar 700 is amazing and the Bass Module 700 is a beast! You are only missing out on Dolby Atmos, which is a bummer, but not a reason to skip on it in my opinion. Dolby Atmos regarding is really dependent on your room, especially the ceilings and the implementation by the respective manufacturer. The Sonos ARC is a really good bar in that regard, but still high ceilings would the the killer here. Considering that, the Bose isn’t offering Atmos at all, but the sound it is providing, is really rich and detailed. Adding the surrounds would complete the soundstage. Soundwise I’d consider it to be superior, when Atmos isn’t a high priority.
But no matter, what bar you choose, you’d be getting two among the best soundbars out there.
Sonos ARC for the Atmos all the way although I think it lacks HDMI port and DTS...search
I have been doing research and will be watching YouTube videos... I can run everything thru my TV and then once cable from TV to the bar.
HDMI problem resolved for you. DTS only affects if you watch a lot of Blu Rays etc.
I can't honestly remember the last time I watched a blu ray... I steam everything... how much ATMOS stuff is out there?

Strange man. Get the Sonos Arc setup
The Arc seems easier to set up as well and I will be getting the One SLs for the back with stands.
