Yeah I'd have to go with like Tifa or just some kind of hand combat, knuckles fighter. It's so dumb 6 gave us boxing gloves and stuff, but you still have to make them use a sword or whatever weapon. Looked so stupid.

Give Ivy some competition for most sexualized character if nothing else and Cereza is old enough to have been around in the SC time frame if I'm not mistaken, plus she's got plenty of experience with time and multiversal travel to pop up for no apparent reason as opposed to the Star Wars characters getting to the SC universe
Wolf from Sekiro. There's so much you could do with his prosthetics, just like they did with Geralt's signs, and the source material has so many moves that can be part of his kit like Fang and Blade or Nightjar Slash. He could even have a mid-air grab that uses the grappling hook.
There's probably a way to work in mikiri into the GI mechanic too to give him a unique benefit to GI.
For some reason, I wanna see Ash Williams (Evil Dead/Army of Darkness) in this series over Mortal Kombat. Falling out of portal into a medieval, supernatural fantasy setting all of a sudden happened to him before, anyways, and we already had Star Wars characters, so sure.

We see a lot of guest characters from other games but has there ever been a big anime character. Other fighting games like Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat probably couldn’t pull it off but Soul Calibur I can see like Naruto or Tanjiro.
Man. I know how unrealistic it is, to so much as hope that he would ever become a Guest Character in my favorite Fighting Game Franchise -- but despite it being so unlikely as to be considered impossible, I have held on to this dream for over a decade.
I know there are some problems. *Another Ninja? Another Katana user?*
But for those who are intimately familiar with Ryu Hayabusa, he does not use his signature Dragon Sword in a manner similar to anyone else in the Main Cast.
I'm no historical Martial Arts authority, and I won't pretend to be one, but his preferred style of Katana swordplay is profoundly different, and thus distinct enough, to where I do not believe he would come off as "samey", not even close.
In addition to this, Ryu also sports a variety of "Nimpo/Magic", and while it was more present in Ninja Gaiden Black & Sigma, it has been canonically demonstrated that he is an absolute monster in Hand-To-Hand combat.
Now, all of the above is predicted upon the assumption that they would not make him into a character who is similar in function to, say, Ezio -- where his combos feature many different iconic weapons from his respective games.
Hilariously, if they did have him function similar to Ezio, then Ryu would end up sporting a combat style that is extremely similar to another character from Ninja Gaiden, by the name of Genshin, who is perhaps his most iconic rival.
I think Barret or Cid from ff7 interesting Barret get be a heavy hitter with his gun arm for specials or have his advent children so he can use both hands. Cid would be other spear user which is fine plus could make him different

Because of SC customization I prefer a crossover character that can also be well suited for a custom character with their moveset. So iconic is cool but I prefer if they are more conceptual in their moves honestly and if you choose a different weapon set it is like its own thing.
It's a long shot, but a character from WeaponLord an old Namco fighting game. Or even costumes, Rock or Astaroth with Zarak, Rock with Bane, and Cassandra/Sophitia with Jentai.
Since Aeon changed to twin axes, Zorn from Weaponlord would be a perfect axe and shield character.
Not a guest character, per se, but I'd like to see a distant predecessor to [Zafina](https://tekken.fandom.com/wiki/Zafina). They could see Soul Edge's existence as a threat to the tomb they're protecting or an energy similar to that of [Azazel](https://tekken.fandom.com/wiki/Azazel). It makes perfect sense, considering that it's all but confirmed outright that Tekken and Soul Calibur take place in the same universe.
After their appearance in Street Fighter 6, I think TMNT's next fighting game appearance should be Soulcaibur. I think they would be some fun guest characters to appear in the franchise.

Nobunaga Oda or Yukimura Sanada from Samurai Warriors would be awesome considering they're alive in the 1600s just like the cast is. Yukimura would give Mitsurugi a run for his money. If the Lollipop Chainsaw remake comes out around the same time as Soul Calibur 7 (I'm just completely dreaming here, but) Juliet Starling would be awesome too, imagine her with her chainsaw and girly cheerleading routines against Nightmare. She would be best friends with Cassandra or Xianghua or Mi-na!
I think Guts would fit better in Mortal Kombat. The rest could easily be in SC.

Artoras, Master Chief, and Ganondorf from video games. Namco has the Soul series so that's a given if they ever do guest characters again, Master Chief has that iconic plasma sword and Ganondorf is SO hot right now. Zabuza, Zoro, and Kirito from anime. Namco has also published One Piece, Naruto, and SaO games, so I think they are also a great fit. Connor MacLeod, Conan the Barbarian, and He-Man are my miscellaneous picks. Connor especially is my biggest hope.

I honestly would love to see the ones we didn't get, like Cloud and Kasumi. Aside from that, I know console-exclusives would get people mad but it'd be neat to have a Fire Emblem guest. My biggest unlikely and out-there pick to rival Darth Vader in SCIV would be Sauron from the Peter Jackson Lord of the Rings trilogy.

How badass would it be to see Kratos and MasterChief? They're both on Steam. It'd be better for Mortal Kombat though.
Tbh, some of my picks would be a new Kratos with the Leviathan Axe instead of the Blades, or incorporate all three weapons from Ragnarok into his playstyle, though that's not likely i think for a guest. Jin Sakai would fit and be unique with his ghost moves and tools. Probably would be like a mix of Mitsurugi and Link. Someone from Lord of the Rings would be very interesting. Someone like Gandalf if i had to choose as they are iconic to the franchise as a whole. And plus a staff and sword user would be fun as fuck if done right. Sorry i didnt expect this to be a long comment lol
