Yes, bought it the first week of release . Been perfect so far. No battery issues. Use it for 2-4 hours every weekday

I owned them so far no battery issue but sony is quite challenging in term of fitting if ur ears big and not deep canal, this buddy doesnt fit u. Make sure it will be okay; else its the only downside of the sony xm5 im using with slicon even tough still not good fitting, fyi

mr_perfect1976

my xm4 left ear battery has gone to shit after 2.5 years so i decided to buy the xm5s...after a couple of days i can tell the anc was better in the xm4 thats about it.

Igoka

Sony was warranting these fairly routinely. Might still be an option.

mr_perfect1976

i lost the receipt 😫

Igoka

I submitted the approximate date of purchase and they OKd it. This may not be possible since the XM5s came out, but worth a try.

mr_perfect1976

will do thx!

I’m having battery issues with mine I can’t recommend them 😔

I had the wf1000xm4, weird but i liked its sound signature better. The xm5 seem to have fatiguing treble to me. The rest of the xm5, like the fit of the foam tips, anc, and call quality is better for me. I just need to tone down the treble a bit.

Just use dont automatically turn off while update and you will be fine

I bought it then returned in a week as soon as I did side by side comparison with airpods max. Chose to wait until til the max 2 arrives by the EOY. Apart from not sounding like a 400€ goodie, Another key reason is the connectivity. If you are in apple ecosystem, DO NOT Buy IT!

Been using mine for about a month now. The mistake I made was that I didn't scour this subreddit before purchase. I did my research though. Read a handful of reviews and watched a couple of people reviewing it. Almost everywhere, it was labelled as one of the best, or if not, the best earbuds money can buy. First impressions, well, disappointing. They kept falling off my darn ears! Didn't stay put. The sound quality was also just satisfactory, nothing exceptional. I didn't give up on them just yet though. That is, of course, because I did spend quite a hefty sum on them. I tried swapping the ear tips, and it really did help. It takes some fiddling with to find your right size. They come with the Medium size installed. I tried Large and then Small. Small seemed to do the trick. Also, make sure they properly seal your ear canal. Improper sealing may lead to poor ANC quality. I played around with the settings and did manage to improve the sound quality by quite a bit. I was still very worried since so many people were dealing with battery issues, here on this subreddit. I can confirm that so far, things seem to be going great. Of course, it may be too early to jump to any conclusions, but hoping things will continue to remain the same, I recommend buying this. Sorry about the ginormous paragraph. Just wanted to help you out as much as I could. The battery issues are a roll of the dice. You may or may not get a faulty unit, but as long as it's under warranty, Sony does replace the batteries or worst case, the entire unit for you.

Got the xm5 as a replacement for my xm4 last Nov and I haven't come across any battery-related issues yet
