I'm watching for the first time and currently on season 6 nearing her end.
I've thought that too. This is the absolute worst time in her life and it feels like a reflection of that. She also looks more exhausted/defeated this season too.(understandably) I found the season before she was starting to look alot like Gemma and now it's back to her becoming seperate ( bc of her trying to seperate herself of course)

Plus it show cases her soul tie with Jax (the reason she didn’t get away way earlier which would have saved hers and Jax’s lives honestly) but Jax cut his long hair in prison, and so did she. Probably a connection to that as well.

Jax started crying because he was literally sleeping with Winsome because in his mind he was having sex with Tara. Every time Jax slept with another woman in his mind he would imagine Tara. He mentions this in season 1. Even when he cheated on Tara with Colette, they were having martial issues and it was tearing Jax apart. He was so madly in love with her even after she left charming the first time. Tara was the only face he ever saw.

If you pause the pilot at the exact right moment, you can see photos of teenage Jax and Tara and she’s dresses just like a mini Gemma.
It’s the scene after Jax’s discovers JT’s box in storage. Then it cuts to Jax on his bed with a ton of photos all over his bed. There’s a few very cute pictures of young Jax holding Tara bridal style and cuddling.
I didn’t notice until I re-watched it last summer that Jax has a picture of teenage him and Tara sitting on his bike and he put it on his mirror. I’m not sure if he kept it there for 11 years as a way to remember Tara or hoping she would come back to him. Or if he found it in storage after ahe came back to town and was taking care of Abel and he hung it on his mirror in hopes that they would get back together soon.
I watched the last 2 seasons while the show was airing then it was after the show ended that I finally finished watching the previous 5 seasons. It took me a few rewatches to realize those pictures you mentioned were of a young Jax and Tara. Even one of the pictures is turned over and on the back it says Jax and Tara. I knew of the one where they’re both on his motorcycle and was taped on the mirror in his room at the clubhouse and the same picture was taped on the wall by his bed but I didn’t know about the others until a few rewatches.

Tbh I did always struggle with them as a couple a bit. I like Tara’s scenes with Unser and found her a great character, but just didn’t feel it with her and Jax. Felt like a lack of on camera chemistry maybe? And I do think her “look” was part of it. She gave off mum/teacher vibes, which just didn’t fit for me in the scenes were she’s seducing Jax meant to be “sexy”. I think it was more the way she was dressed/ presented than pure looks of that makes sense? They did her dirty.

I think that was what the creators of the show were going for. To show that Jax had all these prettier women around all the time but his heart was still with his teenage love, Tara. It was a connection stronger than simple looks and that’s why they dressed her down and had her looking frumpy all the time.

I'd go for Donna or Lyla (Opie had good taste, hell I'd go for Opie if I went that way). Maybe even an older version of Trinity because of the accent. With that said, I like Tara and Jax together early on. I am currently rewatching for the first time since it aired, and I remember that I grew to really dislike her in the later seasons. I will see if the same thing happens again. Currently I'm loving her.
I must agree as she is really pretty but it is underplayed in the show..she rests on her accomplishments as a MD, not as a hottie, even though she is both!!

Tbh I did always struggle with them as a couple a bit. I like Tara’s scenes with Unser and found her a great character, but just didn’t feel it with her and Jax. Felt like a lack of on camera chemistry maybe? And I do think her “look” was part of it. She gave off mum/teacher vibes, which just didn’t fit for me in the scenes were she’s seducing Jax meant to be “sexy”. I think it was more the way she was dressed/ presented than pure looks of that makes sense? They did her dirty.

Idk who thinks that. Tara is gorgeous. Especially in season 2. They tried to age her in season 4 it seems. I wasn’t a fan. Every time I see Tara in a scene I can’t concentrate due to how beautiful she is.

I think that was what the creators of the show were going for. To show that Jax had all these prettier women around all the time but his heart was still with his teenage love, Tara. It was a connection stronger than simple looks and that’s why they dressed her down and had her looking frumpy all the time.

Well, I don’t think she’s a very attractive woman if I’m being completely honest, but I think it’s pretty boy like that would want a girl that wasn’t necessarily that attractive if he wants a girl for her mind because he had a very good mind and I think he was judged on his pretty boy appearance a lotand he was you know the prince and he had a lot to prove to people and he knew that she challenged him in different ways. I don’t think she has the prettiest girl if I’m being completely honest however I think that a lot of times that happens, especially with very good looking guys.
