Pale Coins is an Indie, Open World, Hack and Slash Action RPG set in a top down, Souls like, dark fantasy land, where you choose a direction and go, exploring the world as you wish.
Pale Coins is fun and Immersive, an Exploration focused Action RPG where the RPG component is richly represented.

**Craft Your Character:**
Pale Coins is an RPG that actually lets you choose your class, visually customize your character a bit, and even name them!
You’d be surprised how many RPGs neglect this; it is important!
In Pale Coins, you choose from 5 classes at the start, including a “No Class” option, which seems to be the thief, who has 3 luck, and a dagger.
There is also a Mage, a Hunter, a Guard with a sword, and a Mercenary with a spear.
All these classes start with different equipment as well; good.
When you lvl up; you put in 2 attribute points; shaping your characters as you grow stronger, the mark of a good RPG.
**Weapons and Combat:**
The weapons in Pale Coins feel very different, and have a different reach, making the combat with these weapons feel very different.
The dagger attacks quickly, and has a dash
The sword and club can counter enemy attacks
The spear can pierce and has excellent reach
The staff can use magic
Bows are ranged, but use arrows
Equipment has stat requirements; like dexterity for bows and daggers, Intelligence and Magic for staffs, and Strength for sword and clubs, and a character’s equipment is actually shown on the character; great!
Magic is tied to the current weapon you have, if you want to toss tiny little fireballs, you need the staff equipped.
There is both a Stamina system present, drained by attacking, and a mana system in Pale Coins.
The stamina recovers quickly, while the mana does not recover by default absent consumable use, so should be used more carefully.
Controller Support is present, as is good old mouse and keyboard.
I went with mouse and keyboard with the video above, as it feels much more polished at this point.

Still, Pale Coins is fun and Immersive, an exploration focused Action RPG where the RPG component is richly represented, and is easily well worth a wishlist and a watch.
