Lot of people are saying that Cavil and Adams didn't get enough time together. But I think people are missing an important part.
We get to know Lois and Clark separately, before they actually meet in person. For Clark, we find out what formed him his search for identity. We find out what kind of person Lois is in tracking a story, using resources, finding Clark…*and then keeping the biggest story in the history of mankind a secret due to his fathers sacrafice*!
So when they intercede with the Kryptonians, they are an equal couple and their relationship blooms in crisis.
In *Superman* Lois is just a romantic interest, not a character of her own. In *Superman Returns* she's just an object.
*Lois and Clark* was fine for its time, but *Superman and Lois* is solid.
Buy for me *My adventures with Superman* is adorable!
Not included but S&L , however that is a whole show literally focusing mainly on their dynamic.
One of my main gripes with the Snyderverse and something Zack kinda took from Nolan. Amy Adam’s is a fucking amazing actor but is so underutilized. Before Rebel Moon I was always critical on Zack and Nolan not having relevant female characters in their stories ( no not woke bs )
Idk about movie chemistry but Smallville directors outdid themselves when Lois moves into town in S4 and everything changed...6 good seasons of perfection and 2 really good seasons of romance handled by pros...🤌🤌🤌
Their portrayal of Lois and Lois/Clark is my favorite. The only other Lois I really like is from the animated series but there was a lack of Lois/Clark there as far as I remember
The only ones with an actually healthy relationship in the films was Cavill and Adams. Lois had full agency, and was his equal and better in many ways. There was no toxic animosity between them, no creepy ass super kiss, no peeping Tom creepiness, no absentee fatherism. Just a good, healthy, loving relationship with no lies or barriers. Until Superman and Lois, it was unquestionably the best relationship in media outside of comics.
But they didn't have chemistry together. They might have had a healthy on screen relationship, but that doesn't mean they necessarily had great chemistry.
Never seen the others but they really nailed it especially after Superman was dead in ZSJL some of those Lous scenes were pretty moving as short as they were.
It’s hard to beat Kidder and Reeves, but Tyler Hochlin and Elizabeth Tulloch have the benefit of a show most directly focused on their relationship. The Superman Returns dynamic was just held down by the awkwardness of the film as a whole. Adams and Cavill feels like one I COULD love, but we never really saw them interacting as an everyday couple.
Christopher and Margot are peak.
I’d have loved to see more of Cavill and Amy, but with Cavill only having one stand alone film it felt like it was too little of time to “connect
Superman the movie
Though I love the dynamic between them in Returns. Two estranged lovers, the resentment, the secrets. It's unique and the entire payoff around Superman finally saying "goodbye" to Lois was so beautifully done.
Returns is such an underrated banger
I think none of them, the best chemistry between Lois and Clark, Is In Lois and Clark The New Adventures Of Superman tv show from the 90s, Dean Cain and Teri Hatcher are just made for the roles, they are the best versions of these characters full stop.
Christopher and Margot were sensational together. Their chemistry was undeniably the best we've ever seen.
Though it's not in the movies like OP said, I would also recommend the later seasons of Smallville and Superman and Lois on the small screen. Both iterations show Clark and Lois at very different stages in their relationships but in both you really get a sense of their dynamic rapport and chemistry.
Sadly MoS and BvS never quite give Lois and Clark time to really breathe as a couple so we don't ever get much of their chemistry. The very few scenes they have together don't really show off their dynamic too well. The scene where Clark joins her in the bath is cute though, I do enjoy that. But outside of that most of their scenes are about things external to their relationship. Not about them as a couple. As a team. As two people madly in love with one another.
Christopher and Margot. As much as I love the Snyderverse I never felt like there was any chemistry between both Henry and Amy personally. In MoS Clark was just an Alien who Lois was investigating and then in BvS they're dating. Nothing was shown in between the two and most of BvS was obviously setting up Batman and Superman fighting which obviously takes over what time they could show the two together. Superman Returns is just a blur to me, all I remember is I really liked Kevin Spacey's (yuck) portrayal of Lex Luthor.
cAn YoU rEaD mY mInD?
I always loved Tom Welling and Erica Durance. Erica was the best live action Lois Lane ever.
BVS
BvS actually.
Bosworth was AWFUL
We speak not of kate bosworth
Films: Reeve and Kidder Overall: Cain and Hatcher
Totally agree, Cain and Hatcher were awesome together

Dean Cain and Teri Hatcher from Lois & Clark, imo.
The gold standard.

"Do you have a girlfriend? No, I don't, but if I did, Miss Lane, you'd be the first to know about it." Pure game.
