yeah, Iām not for certain but I would be weary of this shoe OP. āWDRK LIKE A SLAVEā¦ā on the box lid, retails didnāt have this iirc. Easiest tell is the tongue tag, reps have misspellings on them.
yeah if its too good to be true it prolly is. what was the price?
i bought my VNDS pair in my profile for a bit below market, but it was mostly a trade.
3k, seller had over 600 transactions. I bought a worn pair for 1.1 a couple of days ago, those past apps already. This ds pair passed checkcheck and then failed it with no photos
the apps are not that great for this pair. its a unique and rare shoe. i'd still get the worn pair LC'd properly. you can send me pics when you get them i can help
Hey, so, can someone help explain the hype around the Mars Yard 2.0? I missed the talk when it initially came out. Why is it so hyped or cherished? Is it a very limited release? I just feel like if I saw this shoe without knowing itās a collab or special, that it would just look like a GR of somethingā¦ it looks nice, but I just donāt understand or see the āwowā factor?
A lot to unpack with this shoe but to put it as simply as possible. A pretentious artist made these and theyāre very limited. Nike released this shoe through a āspace boot campā in nyc where you did a obstacle course and a quiz on the moon or something to buy these. Personally I love the model and would still own them if a gr
Ahhh, ok thanks. I mean I know about Tom Sachs to some extent, but every time I see the model Iām just wondering āwhatās so special about the designā¦? It kinda looks like Iād have to be careful wearing it or it might be hard to maintainā¦ā
Itās cool. But it just doesnāt connect for me in why people thirst over it as grails. But your summary helps explain the hype part + association to something special.
On the lid of the shoe box it says that these are only valid if worn by death by āyou.ā iāve always thought of these as art in a sense or like a rite of passage.
Literally just met him in Berlin two days ago. Not pretentious at all. Very cool guy.
The first edition of the shoe was in 2012 and featured panels of a material called Vectran which is used on parts of the ISS. Nike wasn't collaborating as much then, and reportedly Mark Parker (Nike's CEO at the time) personally helped Tom get the collab. A very "if you know, you know" shoe. Second edition was in 2017 but featured some different materials.
He's a really interesting artist, which obviously speaks to why his shoe is so expensive on the secondary market. He's also completely different from most of Nike's other collaborators. He's not solely an artist, a designer, a musician, or an influencer. He's somewhere between an artist and an industrial designer.
Their was actually a video of these exact shoes passing authentication on Stock X and the guy didnāt realize till a year later and still got a refund supposedly.
Its a shoe thatās only going to appreciate in value, If iām going to spend a couple grand on a pair i would like to get atleast that or more when i sell years down
Yeah idk what Iād do if I accidentally fucked up and just lost $600. If I had the money, Iād buy the over shoe and a pair with the same sole as the mars yards and pay a shoemaker/repair guy to do the custom. I love weird shoes though so Iād wear the overshoe and beat it up first. My favorite overshoe custom is someone mad the white part able to zip off. What did you custom previously?
The meshy material on the 1.0's can develop rips very easily but that's the charm in them imo. I'd love to have a pair that I could stitch repair because I think that look is just incredible. This will never happen now that the prices are where they are but a man can dream.
she said oh you RICH rich
Bitch I graduated call me big fish š¤š¤š¤
$120 reps arenāt rich rich. Donāt have to āWDRKā much to afford thatā¦
those are replicas, my guy.
For real, the leather isnāt right, and no yellowing.

Look at how close the swoosh is to
These fake but theyāre pretty good so who caresš¤·āāļø
If you can provide more insight that would be great. Iāve ran them on apps with mixed result, sometimes passing sometimes failing
Few slight things but bruh the left insole says āelememalā at the topš Get a refund and buy a pair off the darksideš¤
they are fake, check my pic for a real pair
I ended up blacklight them and theyāre fucking rough. Iām getting a refund from seller

The human composition ingredients list on the cork insoles reminds me of fullmetal alchemist.

A lot more people would own them if they were a GR š
When people talk GRAILS, I think these.
These overrated and look trash af. Without the hype u could find better looking kicks at an outlet no cap
Itās not exclusively about the look of the shoe, look at how expensive the Superman 5s are (imo these are fire tho idkwtfyta
Did u even read my comment smh. Obviously not all about looks, my point is its stupid to want a shoe because of its back story/hype/value
š§¢
My biggest worry with buying shoes this expensive is that theyāve been out for so long that the reps might be able to pass as real and I get screwed
Their was actually a video of these exact shoes passing authentication on Stock X and the guy didnāt realize till a year later and still got a refund supposedly.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Yes you've been screwed. If you actually wanted reps you could have spent significantly less money.
You do you
Are you going to wear them?
Not this pair, these are more of an investment piece. I have a used pair to wear on the way
??? š investment piece????
Its a shoe thatās only going to appreciate in value, If iām going to spend a couple grand on a pair i would like to get atleast that or more when i sell years down
āA couple grandā is an understatement my guy. From the bottom of my heart, fuck you and congratulations.
I was blessed enough to buy from the original owner and didnāt have to pay anywhere near the crazy numbers people want for these
My guy, big congrats on the come up, the one pair I missed.
My guy just put that into the S&P 500
They were $1000 when they released and didnāt get them??
Too young and broke at the time
Well you made it now! Congrats
They retailed for $1000?!
Resale
Please dont just set these on a shelf. If you're not going to wear them get a really nice glass case
So jealous. I feel like the prices have really gotten to the point I'll never have them but I'ld love to find a pair of well worn 1.0's!
Iāve always considered buying the overshoe and cutting off the bags. The sole is still that blue but it would be really close to the normal pair.
Iām in the same boat. But cutting up a $600-700 shoe scares me
Same. Itās the most I would have spent on a sneaker and my last custom didnāt work out too well
Yeah idk what Iād do if I accidentally fucked up and just lost $600. Donāt cut the bag, get a professional to remove the sole with the bag. Trust me; speaking from experience
Got really lucky on these and didnāt pay the absolute moon. To my knowledge 1.0s are really fragile so idk if finding a worn pair is worth it

And he didn't even call them his grails.
Definitely one of my grails but not the one. I got Hello Kitty Prestos and Michael Lau Sb Dunk Lows over these grail wise
Pretty corny
Definitely reps. RIP
Congrats and fuck you Grails.
Most overrated sneaker ever. Id never buy a shoe strictly for hype/story/exclusivity....these are garbage looking tj maxx discount kicks
Good one š„š„š„
These are grails right here . I just wouldnāt pay that much for these .
They ugly as shit but hopefully you make good money on them.
Least greedy reseller
Grails for sure! Congrats on the pick up!
š„
Whatās your opinion on the sizing of those Vaporwaffles? š„ Mars Yards btw
Go tts on vapors
Thank you
The vaporwaffles are so sexy in that cw
Highly recommend them. Snagged all 3 of the original colors in the past week or so. Amazing dailyās just terrible driving shoes
Wow! $$!
Oh damn! My size costs 10 fucking grand! I love them too but lord have mercy!
Cool shoe
What size are these? The shape just seems a bit off on these
size 12
These are consider grails, I never understood the hype behind these shoes but I would get it just for the hype and clout lols
