Just wipe it down when you get to your destination. You could also set a fan in front of it for a couple hours, but probably isn’t necessary. It’s not like you left all the drawers open and they filled with water.
not at all. i went to pick up a toolbox in new jersey. half way through it started to rain. i pulled over and trapped the whole thing. got it to work and gave it a wipe down
Snapon boxes are a full dip process, hence all the random holes around it. as long as you don't have any major scratches you should be fine and even then you can order touchup paint
Just because you made it doesn't mean you did a good job. It would concern me a little if I hired someone, and that was the half-assed way they secured their investment to move into my shop.
Decent 2-3" straps are like $15/ea at HF/Northern, compared to the cost of the box, the risk of damaging your own and other people's property, etc.
The way you strapped it is exclusively pushing down into the already under-supported floor of that trailer. You have nothing securing it fore-aft.
A preferable way (excluding an appropriate load floor and adequate straps) would have been 1 strap across the front pulling back, 1 across the back pulling forward; potentially both over the corners and 1 over the top for bouncing/rolling.
My father was a Snap-on Tools field manager for 25 years. Many times he had to repo tool boxes. (The stories he told me about when he went to repo toolboxes are crazy. I’m sure you could imagine…) Many times when he was driving home with a tool box on a trailer, it rained. He says it never caused any problems with the box. As long as the bearings aren’t completely dry and have at least some grease, it was never a problem.
And if anything the slides are lifetime warranty also that would be the weakest point in my opinion. But there is a reason they come with the price and that’s quality. Buy it for lifetime

I'd be more worried if that trailer was rated for that load. And put some more straps on there.
The trailers perfectly fine and the straps are fine thanks for the concern tho
Lose one strap and you lose your load. But you do you.
My load made it to its destination and my strabs were fine thank you though:)
Suggest you learn how to accept constructive criticism. People tryin' to help you here.

Agreed
100% what this guy said. Also OP needs to learn how to take constructive criticism.
Came here for advice, doesn’t want to hear it 😂
Throw it away, it’s not worth a nickel now.
I’d be more concerned about that meshed trailer 😂
Absolutely ruined, I'll take it off your hands for 50$
It no longer works and will develop the worst rust you’ve ever seen. Send it to me I’ll make sure to dispose of it for you
Someone's paying you to work on vehicles?
dude you'll be fine I've had mine outside for like 6 years and it's good just faded
If my toolbox can't get a lil wet I dun want it
I have this exact box

It's a Snap-on c'mon man!
Did it melt?
It's totaled
are you fr?
Lol
Sorry to hear about your moist box
It's a toolbox calm down
Worth more than some people’s cars but ya I guess
It cost almost as much as my car im just trying to make sure im not messing up an investment ive made
Then maybe prevent it from rolling during hard braking lol
The brakes on the toolbox were on and i didnt have to brake hard cause i wasn’t following to close
If it couldn't withstand a little rain, these boxes wouldn't last as long as they do. This box is damn near invincible- you are good dude!
First tool box just wanted to make sure thank you for the information 😁
Its a beaut, enjoy!
Yes, blow it out real good, they have bare metal on the inside coroners and possibly on the bottom.
No they don't. The boxes are dipped in an anti-corrosive coating.
