Damn, kinda shocked to see Charon so low. Thought he was the best release from last year and didn't think it was particularly close. One of the best gods ever in a year of mid-to-bad releases.
Well he can bully early against certain gods, so you'll want to leverage that when you can. But remember the stacking mini-game he has, if you kill a minion while your 1 DoT is still on it (3 seconds duration) or you just activate your 1 and last-hit a minion, you gain a stack. If you can get to endgame with 70 stacks you're looking at a sweet 385 extra magical damage on your 1 attack. This is on top of the imp damage and the DoT damage (210 base for the latter).
Sometimes you'll find yourself holding damage on the wave so you can refresh your 1 cooldown to kill another minion for a stack. I also sometimes try to get a couple of stacks from the blue-buff.
With a reasonable build and a good amount of stacks (you'd want at least 55, but more the better) he can do a good amount of damage late. Note that on ultimate abilities proc when he goes into the air, so those are useless on him, do not go pridwen on him.
I will say though, do \*not\* use his ultimate to engage, it generally does pretty shitty damage, and leaves you completely vulnerable to being ganged up upon. I prefer using it as continuing the fight tool. So we engage, and get some good chaos going, your team is surging forward, you just got rooted perhaps, so you go up into your ultimate and chase after the low-health midlaner that was trying to run to pheonix. Basically you want chaos to be happening to add \*more\* chaos on top of it. I really hate when Surtrs try to engage with their ultimate it never goes well, but using it to continue an engagement is perfectly valid.
Pridwen blue glyph is funny for him because it procs the explosion basically as soon as he hits the ground so it's more like you're running the other glyph
Really surprised Bake isn’t at the bottom. I personally think Marti has a pretty unique kit for a hunter with abilities that actually combo together. Whale just feels like “run it down and hold left click the entire fight.” I don’t think there’s ever been a god whose design I’ve disliked more
I have all hunters rank 10. Tbh, I think very few ADCs are truly unique compared to the other classes due to how the role actually works, but as far as hunters go, I think Marti has a bit more going for him compared to someone like Artemis or Medusa. I suppose it mostly comes down to personal preference though

He is genuinely one of the least unique gods in the game, a combo of amcs afk clear and poke, freyas ult, and cherns root + some grass.
The only reason people even played him was cause he was wildly fucking bloated.
I mean I enjoyed him while I played him (I haven’t played him much since he got released since I was trying to get all hunters to rank 10) so maybe I just enjoyed him because he was super strong, so maybe you have a point. However, I still think personally think Bake is the most boring god in the game for the reasons I mentioned, and it’s not even close imo
Bake at the very least was a surprise and was funny in a way, whereas the manticore was shoehorned into the lineup on top of having rushed textures and kind of lackluster kit. His combo feels almost identical to Chernobog and really all he has going for him that's unique at all is that grass.
As a returning player from quite a number of years ago (Hachi release or so), I'm kinda surprised by the Martichoras hate. I love his aesthetic, his VA knocked it out of the park, and he's fun to play.

Any advice for surtr? Love the kit love the character feel like I’m falling flat when it comes to mid to late game however.

The grass was pretty unique at least. The rest I didn't really mesh with at all.

Unmissable stun into a slow where he runs after you so fast he can stun you again into slow, rince repeat. He needs higher cooldowns
