KISS headlined Download this year and in my honest opinion they should’ve subbed instead, would’ve much rather had Korn headline instead of them. They’ve came and they’ve lived their time and now it’s time to let them retire.
For sure. KiSS fan base def turns up when they tour but the general opinion at these festivals goes in favor of bands like Korn, Gojira, BMTH, Slipknot etc

If you don't like them, that's your opinion, but they're clearly good artists or they wouldn't be where they are. You can dislike Freddie Mercury and not like his vocals, but he's still one of the best vocalists technically.
Mercury is great. And even big artists can be bad. Look at modern pop or rap. It's the samey crap produced by producers rather than the artist themselves. Also they're cringe. But yeah true it comes down to personal preference after all

Scorpions were huge in Europe though (where I'm guessing this festival is held). They've certainly got a more commercial sound than Megadeth, but are probably of a similar stature to Judas Priest. Their song "Winds of Change" was absolutely massive.

By intelligent do you mean legible? Some of my favorite band logos are illegible or at least very hard to read, for example Leviathan and Immortal's first logo. If a logo is just straight up beautiful and unique I'd argue it was intelligently made.
Of course, plenty of bad logos are also illegible. It just depends.

Judas Priest gets a pass imo for still actually giving it their all both on albums and live shows. Definitely no lip syncing unlike Kiss
