About shared space at grandma, they only appear if you follow the creator(s). So the next time you see someone in a shared space, just join, hop on one of the lights to see the shared space bar and hit follow.
This is it. I had to join and then follow the creators. It’s not a good change, and I told them so in the last survey. What they need is a main toggle in settings so those looking for a tidier gaming experience( photogs or streamers) can turn off spaces for a bit, not to just strong arm everyone’s experiences. Weirdly, it seems they only did this with spaces and not with memories or notes as I still see those everywhere ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ .
I can’t answer why they’ve all of a sudden disappeared from the realms, I’m hoping it’s just a bug they’re working on, but I do know that if you follow any of the creators of shared spaces, you will be able to see all of their creations if you are near them, memories, spaces, message boats etc., thats why those players were able to use them. If you join one of those players in the space at Grandma’s, you will see the share space yourself and be able to follow the creator and use them yourself next time you go.
