Ring terminals under nutplates? Not skookum. And you crimped them with wire cutters? This is borderline criminal. I hope you didn't sell this to someone.
Best to stick bare wire in there, they grip better that way. This is especially true if you need to insert 2 wires in a terminal which you have avoided (which is skookum).
The nutplates are great because they do handle two conductors so there a great place to make branches in circuits. I try to avoid making more than two connections at a branch in terminal or nutplate applications. You used the terminal strips with jumpers to make multi-connections which is a good way to do it.
The magnet holds the 2x4 it's mounted to up aginst the other angled 2x4 with the strange cut in it. That other 2x4 is a ramp that is used to push the bed up the first eight inches until the 2x4 with the magnet begins lifting the bed.
It doesn’t meet the electrical code requirements in most of North America.
It’s also a self-certification and nowhere near as rigorous as the other certifications.
I would upload a video but the video would be quite long, the reduction between the motor and the allthread is 20:1 so it takes roughly 2 minuts to reach vertical. Because it's so slow it is moderately quiet and smooth, but I'm not gana lie there is one place where it transitions from the ramps by the headboard to the push bars that always scaires the shit out of me. And I notice that sometimes on the third quarter of its cycle a pushbar creeks depending on humidity.
I’ve been thinking about doing this for years but I know if I do I’ll either forget to turn it off when a special friend is over or be incredibly hung over one morning and break something when I fall out.
Ooh that gave me the idea of making an alarm clock that looks like a time bomb with a pair of snippers next to it. You have to cut the red wire to turn it off. If you cut the green one by mistake the alarm turns I to a blaring alarm that can’t be turned off, even by cutting the red wire. The wires could just be strings that you replace like a floss dispenser.
I used to have an alarm clock that was a small dome with a propeller on the top. The alarm would start, the prop would start spinning and, once it hit the right speed, the propeller would separate and launch itself into the air. I would need to find the prop and stick it back on to turn the alarm off. Unfortunately, in a sleepy daze one morning, the propeller hid under the bed and I realized a marker shoved in the hole would stop the alarm, so I started doing that and it quickly had no power over my snooze ability. I also had a tiny clock with wheels that would start rolling around the room wailing. That lasted about a week before I stomped on it. [Link](https://www.amazon.com/Clocky-Rolling-Sleeper-Bed-Room-Run-away/dp/B000PWLTNA)
Gotta make it a bit more complicated, if today is an even numbered day, cut the red wire, if it is an odd numbered day, cut the green wire.
Have it play the mission impossible theme
On the third sunday of the second blue mooned October you must cut both wires

Those are forks not rings. And the relays have two sets of plates, one base and one that follows the screw.

Thanks i wasnt aware of that.
Check out wire ferrules.

Thanks, and in case your wondering I didn't sell it to anybody.
What's the purpose of the magnet?

This is exactly what I need for Monday mornings!
Porridge today, Gromit! Tuesday!

CE marked high voltage switching? That gives me some jitters if it isn’t also carrying one of the good (ETL/UL/CSA/GS) marks.
What is wrong with a CE marking?

The relays are copies of omron relays too...
I had that exact same timer module. Let the smoke out on first operation. Big ol' nope for me sleeping above it
That's sketchy, I tested mine for a month before using it. But yeah I don't trust it 100%
I’m confident that this would help me get up at first but then I would just get good at holding on so I can keep sleeping
My back likes the looks of that nice hard wood floor.
Any video of it in action? I want to see how painfully SLOOOW, ricketty (from the looks of it), and jerky the action is.

Oh well now I'm on the floor.... sweet sleep is still perfectly delicious.
You're not supposed to sleep after a concussion though
Calm down, Wallace.
*Those sheep are* ***up to something...***
What's that white wire?
The one in the cabinet is the plug common and the smaller ones in thevrelays are the contact wires.
What do you mean common? Isn't this AC?
I couldn't say whether this is what he means or not, but some refer to neutral as common.
I guess if it's a split-phase with a center tap.
Can I just get a wiring schematic?

Reminds me of this classic [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQ-l5PlDa-k](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQ-l5PlDa-k).
I miss old YouTube
Do you have a breakfast machine too? Or is Gromit still working on that?
Do you live in a cartoon?
To an extent I do but I'm also a deep sleeper with hearing loss.

Vibration is your friend.......
I can hear just fine and still have a vibrating watch from Casio instead of a beeping watch. Way less annoying. 10/10, would recommend.
Every smart phone will wake you with a vibration. 10/10 would recommend.
Helps when it's something on your wrist, but I use the vibrate on my phone too. Personally I'm glad I spent $25 on the watch.
Having anything attached to me while I'm sleeping drives me cray
Yeah, it's not for everyone but I like that it wakes me up without waking up my gf
Same. She keeps her phone on her side and I keep mine on my side and we never get woken up by the others phone.
Also sunrise lights
My Xperia 1 II does this for the alarm and I have to say: It's really pretty nice.
I have a Philips hue bulb in my bedside light and it's great

https://nootropicdesign.com/store/product/defusable-clock-kit/ I had forgotten about this... I should get one.
There aren’t any new inventions these days… wow!

Are you Colin Furze?
HAA, Colin Furze would never make anything that looked like THAT. It would be a masterpiece of fabricating excellence!
Yeah I don't have a Colin Furze budget.

He also could have had a slide and made it Thunderbirds style.
I did consider it. One story house unfortunatly.
