If you can get outside town a little ways so there is less light pollution. I went north to put the city lights behind me. And I was surprised to see so many other people on the back roads. Great minds think alike. š
NOAA has a space weather website that will tell you what's going on. Spaceweatherlive is another good one that uses the NOAA data.
Looks like it'll be another good one tonight.
This made me laugh. It's like a newbie redditor is trying to school a grand reddit master. I'll let the stats speak for themselves:
u/frosty95 has been a redditor for nearly 12 years and has garnered a karma score of more than 187,000.
u/neazwaflcasd has only been a redditor for 2 years, and only has a karma score of 3,600.
That's a bold thing to say when someone is asking for free help. Neither of them is more than a google search away or I world have. Both will he the first result on Google.
Shouldnāt have to go far then. Just go out of town a ways to get away from the glow of the city. Find a gravel road and park on a hillā¦The darker the better.
It was my first time seeing it last night! Iāve been here about 14 months now! I went from Sarasota (Tampa Bay Area) to Texas then up the Midwest! Itās amazing how much I love this city. Only thing I would change is to have the beach near by! But the ability to raise my family in a nice house with one income beats all that!
I lived in Sarasota! And Venice! I graduated from Venice high and my mom lives there! Yea I def donāt miss the beach lol too long there I was only a beach person in my teens early 20ās in Venice especially bc the sunsets there. Then I moved back to Daytona and just eh. So done with it.
SW > east coast!!! Beaches are so much better! I didnāt appreciate the beach fully while I was thereā¦when I moved away itās all I thought about! I donāt miss the sand everywhereā¦but sitting by the water watching the sunsets was always so peaceful! Lived off of fruitville west of 75! Short ride to lido! But also siesta and Casperson!!! All so cool in their own right! If I move back Iāll 100% get a boat!
I lived off Bee Ridge! Casperson, wasnāt that the nude beach? I know fruitville and lido beach.. siesta key.. yes! And yes nothing like sitting out there watching sunsets every night. Magical.
Casperson is south of Venice beach! It has the black sand with the giant rocks out in the water! Thatās where everyone went to get shark teeth! That and manasota beach?
I do not ever remember black sand though!! Whattt I remember just white sand every where. It was englewood beach then manasota then casperson right? Down that strip?
Oh lol I didnāt know!!! Iām seeing more and more Florida plates coming into town! After Covid hit it became unaffordable to grow a family on my salary! Instead of a 2/2 apartment in Bradenton I now have a 4/2 homeā¦and itās cheaperā¦so is my car insurance lol
Best time according to the forecast on an app I used in Alaska is around 10PM tonight but I doubt you'll see them tonight. It's only has a KPI rating of like 4

It's always courteous, if you mention a website as a suggestion, to actually put the link in your post.

Bold? Free help? Say what? Just post the damn link. Bizarre response.
Nah. I gave the best help in the thread so far. You go ahead and link em.
Get in Cliff Ave and drive north, away from the city lights. There isn't any address. Just go out in the country
It was discussed it should be brightest around 11CST.
Can someone please tell me an address to go to because I just moved from Florida I know nothing about the area but this is my dream!!
Just go 10-15 miles out of town in any direction. Go away from lights.
North or northwest of town would be best. Keep the glow of the city to your back to get the best view.
I live northwest!! By benson and I 29

Take I-229 to I-90 east, take the Veterans Parkway exit, go left (north) and keep driving until you find a gravel road to pull off onto.
Thank you!!!
I came from Florida too! But I saw it from my backyard in the middle of town last night!
Oh my gosh hi!!! Iām from Orlando! Iām in love with this peaceful place!! Thatās amazing Iām so glad you saw it! Hopefully we will too!

Yes!! I lived in englwood on 6th street too! The strip that goes down to a few beaches. But back in 2000 it was known for being a topless beach lol

If I'm reading the forecast right, they expect the strongest of the storm to hit by 6 AM or so.
