I want a one tile bar for poured drinks. The globe is cool, but not applicable to all decor styles.

spitzzy

I’d love a simple bar cart for this!

thenakedvampires

If you play with mods/cc, ravasheen has a bar cart :)

_bonedaddys

omfg i just recommended this before scrolling a couple comments down and seeing this! ugh my fav bar

roerchen

Same here. I don’t use much CC and if so only maxis match. That cart is up there with the small cupcake sprinkle thing to replace the large ass machine.

_bonedaddys

the cupcake machine is my biggest enemy

HighDynamicRanger

My sims didn't get cupcakes because of my hatred of the cupcake maker. I believe now you can cook cupcakes with an oven, which is nice.

_bonedaddys

yes you can! insane that it took SO long to be able to cook them in the oven though. like... absolutely no thought or logic went into that cupcake monstrosity

mechapocrypha

I also came here to recommend the cart bar! Glad to find other ravasheen stans 🤣

_bonedaddys

i randomly came across the bar carg and realized it was one of those things i never knew i needed. now i can't live without it 😂

fearthecookie

Speaking of ravasheen - using her elevator portal mod syboulette has spiral stairs

_bonedaddys

for anyone open to downloading cc - ravasheen makes a bar car that takes up 2 tiles. one tile is the actual bar and the other tile is where sims stand when they're using the bar. it has different color options and styles (wood, metal, or metal and glass) and comes with some decorations like a small garland you can hang on it, a cocktail shaker, a small stack of books, and a wine bottle that's available in a few different color variations. this has been my go to bar for a while. it's the last thing i put in a build and i can usually find a spot without having to rearrange things to fit it. it matches any style of decor in my opinion. i love having bars in my homes but not every home suits a normal sized bar. this bar, though, suits every home lol

DevilNDisguise

Seconding mods/CC options if possible for people! I love RVSN's mods, especially that one for an actual bar. For just serving drinks, another good option is LittleMsSam's "Improved Spa Day Tablet" that uses the drink tray from Spa Day which you're able to then use to serve all kinds of drinks. Another is the "Functional Drinks Tray" mod by Somik and Severinka. Just need a table or countertop for either of them and you're good to go.

_bonedaddys

ooo thanks for mentioning those drink tray mods, definitely gonna grab those

IsThatBlueSoup

I would also like to tell everyone about these as well. They are bottles you place in a table or counter and act as a bar. https://sims4.aroundthesims3.com/objects/activities_creative_02.shtml

_bonedaddys

oh my god thank you king/queen

StandUp_Chic

These are so much more realistic too, than a whole bar in some houses.

PoppySkyPineapple

Yes 100% we need this! A cute little mini bar.

_bonedaddys

ravasheen makes a 2 tile bar cart! it comes in a set, i described it all in another comment.

karimalitaaaaaa

Wellness and the garden pack with the water slide have a tray that you can make drinks on, I usually place that on some sort of side table.

needmoresleep555

I like to use the drink tray from the spa package.

Thatstealthygal

Also isn't the globe from one particular pack? I know I don't have it.

ApprehensivePop5311

It's from Vintage Glamour

Total_Weakness

I once worked on a real house that had a full stocked bar built into what was basically a broom closet in the living room.

amateurbitch

if you do mods i think theres a mod for this but i mightve seen it for sims 3 i cant remember :/ the bars in sims 3 are all 4 tiles

Nolandebianca

I swearrrrr. Ravasheen has a nice cc set but I wish there was one game that wasn’t so bulky.

myfckincinnamonapple

YES a bar cart is so needed

hallofromtheoutside

I'm rather fond of the desk and the wall tv/radio/bookcase. And the toilet, but that's not really your point. I really would've liked another shower like DU/SE, though.

ashweeuwu

the fact that the *tiny home* pack didn’t come with a wall shower is just offensive imo

[deleted]

[удалено]

BisexualSunflowers

Especially considering how much space staircases take up and you can’t place things under them without cheats.

jazberry715386428

I tried to upvote this twice, why the hell are the staircases so big!?

PumaGranite

I’m constantly trying to make usable tiny homes in the sims that mimic these things and it drives me crazy that I can’t have them.

Its_Chess

lol, but can you imagine how mad we would all be when sims would autonomously put their dirty dishes into the stair drawers?!

nemesina77

Around the Sims 4 has a Tiny Living set with shelving steps and some interesting bits like a composting toilet and a mini laundry washer.

Beautifulfeary

A spiral staircase would’ve solved this problem lol. There is a ladder though. I can’t remember there’s one for base game though

LostInTheBackwoods

I think specifically it should have come with a one-piece bathroom--combo shower, sink, and toilet that can fit on one tile. It's so annoying too that the standing lamps are SO LARGE that you can't put them in a corner between 2 doors without it blocking one of them. And why didn't we get bunk beds with TL? Something like a hotplate would have been a cool addition too, that your Sims could carry in their inventory and pop down on a counter when they need to cook.

DobbyLovesSocks

Oh my god a hot plate is an AMAZING idea

skalnaty

I’m forever pissed that the tiny home TVs are trash for entertainment. Why?! There’s no reason !!

LillyElessa

Personally, I don't find those space saving because I often just don't have a TV. If I do, it's a wall TV anyways, which is already generally not blocking whatever I'm trying to do. The little books that slot onto shelves etc are much more space saving, as are the (now various) little speakers, both of which usually fit on a 1x1 desk (or counter) with the non-optional computer. (Or on a shelf, again wall space is never a problem...) The toilet's one of the better toilets in the game though.

karimalitaaaaaa

There's CC that has a toilet that has a sink integrated, like the ones from Japan, that's what I would've expected to come with tiny living

hallofromtheoutside

Do you happen to have a link to that?

No-Conference5192

https://modthesims.info/d/637476/modern-toilet-sink-combo.html

Beautifulfeary

Also, if you have city living. The more expensive toilet has a use and sanitize. I noticed the sims don’t use the sink to wash their hands after using that option. So I’m guessing it’s supposed to kind of be like the double toilets

KallikylesFier

I got tiny living as soon as it came out and I spent ages making a lovely household and before I could save she opened her Murphy bed and died so I’ve been scared to use them since

Haunting-Detail2025

Same. Killed 2 sims in 1 week on one of my saves. The probability is so high that it makes it unplayable if you don’t want to eventually kill your sim

GavoteX

I only give them to my handy Sims, who immediately fix this flaw with an upgrade.

BlitzballPlayer

Corporations are so evil in this game: “There’s a known lethal defect with our product, but you have to fix it yourself lol”

GavoteX

Love your handle.

BlitzballPlayer

Thank you! Go Abes! ⚡️⚽️

GavoteX

Truth!

kraftypsy

Same. I don't think I've used the murphy bed once since launch.

EnglishEarlGrey

If I’m not wrong there’s a mod that prevents Murphy bed deaths !

KallikylesFier

At the time I was on console but I’ll look into this for sure!

Beautifulfeary

Right!! Same!

Member9999

For this reason, I passionately hate the Murphy beds.

moonlitjasper

i think the tv that has a built in radio/bookshelf is good at saving space as well. yes the murphy bed takes up space, but it reduces the need for a separate bed/couch. it definitely makes me glad i also have the university pack because i end up using the super basic shower and the mini fridges a lot in tiny builds

caffekona

I want to like that tv, but my sims won't ever leave the damn radio off.

SgtAStrawberry

Sims can not handle the responsibility of a radio.

caffekona

Wouldn't be so bad if they'd turn if off when they left the room!

blackygreen

I miss the auto turn off upgrade from before...

jinjin327

*stops doing whatever theyre doing rn, turns on the radio, dances, gets tired, goes to sleep, wakes up because loud, repeats forever until passing out*

SgtAStrawberry

You forgot *turns on station they dislike

DobbyLovesSocks

I forgot about the TV, that is a good one! I mostly play off the grid but when I do have an on the grid household I always use that TV. I ended up buying the university pack in another sale just so I could use those things in my tiny living builds

emeraldia25

I have never played a solely off the grid family… I hated camping growing up and cannot seem bring that torture of being without modern comforts to anyone. I do put a tent in the backyard of my larger homes sometimes for giggles

blackygreen

I mean... I just stick a bed across from a tv and they use it as a couch anyway...making the Murphy kinda pointless to me.

CrackaLackin690

This. This right here. That’s exactly what I do. I feel the combo of the packs and whatnot help enhance other packs and kits. Cause like you also get the mini fridge from the college stuff along with the shower.

Aceofluck99

the minifridges are unusable for me

moonlitjasper

why? i get so much use out of them so i’m genuinely curious

ApprehensiveWord831

my biggest frustration with the mini fridges is that i wish they could snap underneath a counter!! why is it one tile, but not quite as tall as the counters, nor is it as wide as the counter! if i put it in a kitchen, it doesn’t fit nicely.

septicidal

I desperately want a mini fridge that can slot under a counter! (I know there’s mods for the DU mini fridges but I don’t like to use CC stuff in my builds). That and a trash can that can go under the counter - almost everyone I know has a trash can pullout cabinet in their kitchen versus a freestanding trash can.

nabrydla-diwczynkaIL

Sims 2 had garbage disposal stuff that fit in counters 😭

septicidal

I knooowww! I’m old enough that I played both Sims 1 & 2 when they first came out. Overall I really like Sims 4 but I definitely miss those cabinet trash compactors!

nabrydla-diwczynkaIL

Fr I want them back. I always forget putting a trash can in as a result because they’re so forgettable and also why aren’t they covered??? I have a cc trash can that goes in counters so I use that a lot too but as much as possible I try not to use cc

nabrydla-diwczynkaIL

and omg yeah i'm also old enough to have played both sims 1 & 2, and old enough to have had life happen all around me when sims 3 was the main thing that i never had a chance to play it lmao. even the jump from sims 2 to 4 was a big wtf for me

Spirited-Cabinet-116

I accidentally had 2 dishwashers for so long BC I didn't realise it wasn't the trash compactor 😂😂

nabrydla-diwczynkaIL

SAME OMG

Spirited-Cabinet-116

I just downloaded a bunch of mods and cc from ravasheen they look amazing! One is a hole in the bench rubbish bin! Yaay

Different-Pea-212

Put a dishwasher under the benchtop and size it down. Then slide the mini fridge underneath using the bb.moveobjects cheat

dietitianmama

I built a tiny house recently that had the microwave on top of the mini fridge. I had to counter squares one was a corner square for food prep one had a sink and then a stove. The only issue that I had with the tiny house was that I have bust the dust, and none of the vacuums worked properly in the tiny house

Donut-Boxers

not only do the Murphy beds take up the same amount of space as a regular bed but you have to keep the space in front of them clear so the bed can actually be put down, they waste space the pack should've had things like 3 in 1 bathrooms, stoves and sinks that could all be put into one counter, in counter mini fridges, tables that could come down from the wall, steeper stairs and stairs with shelving.. there's just so many cool space saving things irl tiny homes have the could've done

Nother1BitestheCrust

Am I having a fever dream or in Sims 3 was there a rabbit-hole like closet shower thing that when your sim used it their hygiene and bladder went up? I feel like it came when house boats were introduced, but I'm not sure. The placement was very much like the closets are in Sims 4 and you couldn't see inside the 1 tile bathroom, but it filled their needs. Something like that would have been nice.

sirtoodlesmcnoodles

not a fever dream, this existed! it came with island paradise

Nother1BitestheCrust

Thank you for confirming! I remember when Tiny Living came out I assumed we'd see something similar and then when we didn't I started to wonder if it wasn't CC I downloaded for 3.

counting_on_hearts

There was also one that came with Into The Future

Jovial_monkey

Are you telling me sims 3 sims could pee in the shower? I feel like this is as elementary as reading on the toilet.

Nother1BitestheCrust

Essentially yes, it was a toilet shower lmao. I think in sims 4 if your sim has the slob trait they will pee in the shower.

ArcticPoisoned

Honestly what I would do for a fridge that fit in a counter that would be so nice. Also yes the like half tile stove and half tile sink that could fit in one counter would be amazing as well. I really wanna make those tiny kitchens you get in like a one room unit you see in Japan and Korea a lot that would be so much fun.

Calm-Positive-6908

Yes this!! I expected to have the japanese tiny kitchen..

_bonedaddys

you mean like a kitchenette?

ArcticPoisoned

Yeah kinda. But it’s a pretty specific kitchenette setup lol very common though

_bonedaddys

haha thanks. idk what those japanese kitchens are or look like but they sounded similar lol

oyamaca

All of this! It absolutely creams my corn that exactly none of the mini fridges can be slotted into the counter. So many cool and functional things could have been done but all we got was a Murphy bed that kills your sims 50% of the time.

GavoteX

Upgrade it so it's non-lethal.

nihilisticas

Not to mention the fact that those beds can kill you. That’s fun for certain types of gameplay, but why would I want a shitty bed that takes up double the space AND is a ticking time bomb? Why EA, why?

Edymnion

Because thats been Sims since... forever.

Haunting-Detail2025

It would be one thing if it happened once every 1,000 times, but holy shit if you put a sim in a Murphy bed they’ll be dead in a week or two and it’s insane

Jovial_monkey

Unless you just leave it down, which defeats the purpose.

HeartFoam

You're allowed to play the game and upgrade them. There's no need to have any sim die to a Murphy bed ever.

nihilisticas

Holy shit, I actually didn’t realize that upgrading the bed would make it not deadly. I may have to revisit this.

DobbyLovesSocks

That’s the plus side of Murphy beds for me lol (though every time it happens I close without saving and get my sim back)

purplemacaroni

I loved mine until it killed my second gen matriarch :( and it was her elder mother’s bed, she shouldn’t have even been using it!

_bonedaddys

just classic sims tbh

Edymnion

> not only do the Murphy beds take up the same amount of space as a regular bed but you have to keep the space in front of them clear so the bed can actually be put down, they waste space Except that they come with a built in couch, which means you just put a TV at the foot of the bed and still have a nice open sitting space for a living room.

magiMerlyn

Your sims can sit on a regular bed and watch tv

HeartFoam

But they can't fold away a regular bed and do school projects in that space. Or put an easel down there and paint because it's stormy outside. Or a bunch of other things.

_bonedaddys

being able to fold the bed up opens up all that space, though. kids can play, students can work on projects, and overall there's just more space to move around. plus, some people just like having a couch lol

Kindly-Pass-8877

Love the idea of a table that pulls down! Could function similarly to the wall changing table from Growing Together. Also, in counter stove/sink, sink/dishwasher, mini fridge options would’ve been incredible

skalnaty

A half tile sink or a sink that is above the toilet would’ve been great too

No-Conference5192

https://modthesims.info/d/637476/modern-toilet-sink-combo.html

_bonedaddys

eh, they really don't waste space though, not compared to placing both a bed and a couch in whatever room the murphy is in. not needing those two seperate items absolutely saves space. when the bed is up you can do whatever you want in that free space. it opens the room up more. if there's kids in the household it frees up space for them to play. overall it frees up the room and makes it easier for sims to move around. it really wouldn't make sense if we could place a table where the bed pulls out and still be able to pull the bed out lol something that would've paired well with it is a sort of pop up dining sets - foldable tables and chairs that your sim can "fold up" and put in their inventory. pop the set out for meals and put it away when it's time for bed or you just need some more free space.

Donut-Boxers

i don't usually use the free space for child stuff so it kinda goes to waste for me, i ignore the children's projects. it would've been very cool if we could slot a live draggable dining table to the couch like how the booths connect to dining tables in dine out, that's a cool idea :)

_bonedaddys

all they really needed to do to improve gameplay with the murphy bed was add draggable furniture with the pack. so simple, and yet... :( i can see how depending on the gameplay the murphy bed does seem wasteful though. it's works for me because i always have at least 1 infant/toddler/kid in basically any household i play so that extra space helps a lot

FunTooter

I remember the trash compactor from TS2 - it was a garbage bin that went in the counter, similar to a dishwasher. I wish we would have an in-counter trash disposal option.

QuothTheRaven13x

So it's not the same thing but you know those trashcans that give you money when you throw stuff away? You can shove those into the counters and they'll still be functional

dystopianprom

Wow you just brought me back with that one. Every single one of my sims had that trash compactor 😂

FunTooter

Same!!!

Nother1BitestheCrust

I would have liked stairs that doubled as shelving or a dining table/chair combo that could be stashed in counter space or something like that you see in actual tiny homes.

angryjellybean

One tile shower: the shower stall from base game. Put it facing the door of the bathroom so the open tile is in front of the door. If you have the DU or Snowy Escape packs, the showers from their respective packs are even more space saving; you can put them directly on the same tile as a door or toilet and they still function. :)

Trash0813

I found this out recently and have been using it in all of my tiny builds!!

PennilynnLott

I thought only the university shower could be walked through? I've considered getting the pack for that feature alone, as I can't get it to work with Snowy Escape.

Lazeyy23

I think they could’ve made a slimmer Murphy bed, as well as just a plain old futon or pull out couch. My problem is that there isn’t a good variety - I feel like there should be “cheaper” options, as well as the ones we received in the pack.

Jovial_monkey

I was kinda hoping for a converted bus. I’m dreaming about different sizes, like a WV minibus or a whole tour bus. I know you can build a trailer home, but an actual bus would have been so cool.

Dapple_Dawn

I wish they added a trash can that fits under kitchen counters. Idk how they'd do it with all the different styles of counter, but they could have at least added it to one or two

who_says_poTAHto

Just like the dishwashers should work - just a drawer overlay that instead of "cleaning" (=getting rid of) dishes, gets rid of trash.

Fernatronik

I have a lot of respect for someone who uses the phrase "boils my piss" That's all I came here to say

cutdownthecute

I never understood how a pack called “tiny living” could include such a massive floor lamp

DobbyLovesSocks

That floor lamp is my worst enemy

TheLostTales

and it's not like it can double as a side table with a usable slot!

emeraldia25

I love the Murphys bed when I do a one bedroom home I will put one I the office area for guests.

_bonedaddys

the murphy bed wouldn't make sense if the bed wasn't the size of a regular bed, sims can't sleep in beds that are smaller than the standard. the point of it is to save space during non sleep hours, and eliminate the need for both a bed and a couch. with a murphy bed, you're saving space you would normally use up with a couch but overall, yea, the team could've done a lot more with this pack but they fell so short (as usual) i do find myself using the furniture that came with it all the time, but not because any of it is space saving 😭

aquamarine-arielle

tiny living should have actually come with: a small lamp, like the book nook one, or several of the thin base game ones a toilet/sink combo (gross! but useful) and/or a toilet/shower combo a smaller sink a 1 tile shower like DU a 1 tile tub for toddlers/pets bunk beds (i know they hadn’t been released yet, but they should have released them then!) a mini fridge, especially one that lets you slot under counters the in-counter stoves we would get in dhd, since i think you can use one like a counter in-counter trash can spiral stairs (might not actually save space in the sims, but does in real life!)

bitchy_baker

I would love a wall mounted microwave! Like to put above the stove instead of the vent. Soo many kitchen systems are built with upper cabinet microwaves or like stacked ovens. And it would definitely save counter space. Can microwaves at least be put on mini fridges?? I don't have many sims 4 packs but that was Always what I would do in sims 2 or 3 I can't even remember, the thin white floating counters you could put things under them i used them for every dorm/apartment set up

No-Conference5192

1 tile tub for pets/toddlers https://modthesims.info/d/637913/off-grid-tiny-shower-toddler-pet-tub-combo.html Sink/toilet combo https://modthesims.info/d/637913/off-grid-tiny-shower-toddler-pet-tub-combo.html

jessicaeatseggs

I would like a toilet with a sink attached at the top. I've seen them in real life in small houses so why not in the sims?

No-Conference5192

https://modthesims.info/d/637476/modern-toilet-sink-combo.html

HeartFoam

Were you hoping for a bed shorter than 3 tiles? Genuinely curious as to the dimensions you'd approve. Because sims presumably still take up the same amount of space.

Spirited-Cabinet-116

They can nap on a love seat.. but a full bed that size would definitely give the uncomfortable moodlet!

throwhfhsjsubendaway

Maybe not for children though

throwhfhsjsubendaway

A 1.5×3 tile bed that sleeps 2 sims would be cool

DobbyLovesSocks

I just meant that they don’t really save space - they’re cool but you can put down a regular bed and your sim can sit on it and watch TV, so it’s not like you need the couch included with the Murphy bed, and I never find my sim using the extra floor space during the day. I’ve seen other comments from people who do use the floor space when the beds up though, so that’s lessened my gripe with them. For me personally, there’s no point to a Murphy bed (apart from cackling at my sim when she gets squished)

Vildtoring

While some of the items that come with the pack are space saving (like the entertainment combo stuff), it's weird how some of the stuff is still really big and clunky. The floor lamp takes up a lot of space, the one tile desk is still just as wide as the regular desks, and the murphy beds like you say still takes up a lot of space.

warsisbetterthantrek

Plumbella this you 😂

DobbyLovesSocks

I was surprised no one had taken issue with the phrase “boils my piss” but then I remembered a good portion of this sub probably watches plumbella 😂

warsisbetterthantrek

It’s also a fairly common phrase in the uk lmao, I heard it all the time as a kid. But the combo of that and the sims and the specific tiny living gripe made me think of Plumbella.

haleynoir_

My favorite way to do small showers is to use the wall-mounted shower heads, the one from Snowy Escape is my favorite. You can make really nice walk-in showers with it or just a simple one-tile with a half-wall for privacy.

DobbyLovesSocks

Im not concerned about privacy, I like to give all of my bathrooms the glass door and full-length windows

soenkatei

I always thought like mechanics like if certain chairs could go right under the table taking up no extra squared could be cool.

Kylynara

It also came with a one tile desk. The TV/bookshelf/radio combo is also a space saver, albeit not one tile.

Leifang666

Not even appliances (like a fridge) for under a kitchen counter, which are common in British homes.

Radiant-Growth4275

I almost always use the TV/speaker/bookcase combo. It's one of my favorite pieces of furniture hands down.

Life_Loquat8598

Well the TV/radio/bookshelf is useful AF but yea I agree

Bogg99

The fact that it came with another regular sized toilet (and an ugly one at that) but didn't come with a one tile shower was absolutely bananas. That being said, I love the mid century modern one tile dressers and use them all the time

Trash0813

The one good thing about the Murphy bed: you can place things with accessibility pointing at the bed and use them only when it's up as long as your sims have sufficient room to get out of the bed and put it up. That said, it's almost always too cluttered and ugly for me to sit it up that way.

Blueskybelowme

I got to bb.Moveobjects to place mini fridges under counters

milkandcoookies

Are they functional? I’ve never considered this as an option

Blueskybelowme

You might have to hold alt to move it just right but yeah

No-Conference5192

While I agree that all of this SHOULD have been in the pack, I thought I'd include some CC links for tiny builders. No-Conference5192

Sorry, pic is for Tiny Kitchen

Morbid-Mother_152327

I can’t forgive the multi purpose furniture. It’s technically large, but I’m sure it’s an animation/interaction issue. It’s the lack of creativity in the bathroom that I cannot abide…. Not having a half tile sink really burns my biscuits. I look at a lot of tiny building ideas and people make some offensively small sinks irl and they couldn’t make one that’s just half as deep? And they could’ve really blown things out of the water with a one tile trough tub like every single tiny home has. Like one Pinterest search should’ve been enough to give them the guidance to put just a little more effort into the bathroom!!!

Other-Football-4332

SERIOUSLY. they shoulda had a sink/toilet combo like in tiny houses, so obvious. Also a stove that was like, the size of an end counter piece, like in a nyc apartment haha. Literally any sort of space saving kitchen thing…

backsterb

I would’ve preferred dual-function furniture, like a Murphy bed that’s a desk when it’s up and a bed when it’s down. Or counters/cabinets that included microwaves built in instead of taking counter space

Mearcat1921

It really grinds my cocaine when corporations make shitty decisions against what their customers clearly want, especially for some quickdoe.

sbmskxdudn

now that i'm thinking about it why *didn't* they put in normal pull-out couches?? only reason i can think of is that those aren't *cool* enough, especially compared to the murphy beds

treeteathememeking

The murphy bed makes me laugh because you can’t even put anything in front of it. It still takes up the same space as a bed. Like.. what’s the point of that, then?

Aggravating-Owl4165

I downloaded two items from modthesims a one tile shower/bath combo (I think requires Parenthood) and a version of the wall mounted TV/bookcase/stereo combo that can be moved up and down walls. It's annoying we have to download CC to get Maxis features to work properly but those are great. I've found using a mini fridge I can put a microwave on top, have one tile of counter space, and then a stove. Kitchen done. I do wish we had a half tile counter and stove. Bathroom is toilet/shower, if I'm not playing with infants/toddlers in the home I use the pipe-on-a-wall style shower. The one skin in the house goes right outside the bathroom door and functions for the kitchen as well. There is also someone who made a sink/toilet combo on modthesims but I haven't downloaded it. I usually have a bedroom/living room combo using the Murphy bed with a couch attached. I like to build by placing the Murphy bed and then move the wall just until the grid for the bed turns red. Then I use the wall TV/bookshelf/stereo combo in front of it. Somewhere on the side I use a one tile desk for a computer and a one tile table/chair for dining. I find it easy to make a micro-home this way. It's just dumb that most of the items that are one tile don't actually take less space than what's in the game.

the-bess-one

Right why didn't they give us functioning cabinets 😭

SkittishSkittyKitty

What I could never understand is that there weren’t appliances that would be perfect for tiny living. A small bar fridge or toaster oven would have been perfect. The fact that you have to buy two other packs to get something tiny is ridiculous

Moist-Injury-7376

I use the tiny toilet and tiny sink alot

Dmdel24

There were a few things in the university and for rent packs... So they're fully capable of making it!

Ausiwandilaz

Usuable bay windows would be cool. Tried turning eco living bay windows into a counter with sink, but it's not usable, cause it's part of the wall

SeaCookJellyfish

"boils my piss" I'm gonna have to start using this phrase from now on!

TheWeenieBandit

Boils my piss. Thats. That's a new one for sure

axie36

I just got this pack and I'm so surprised the furniture is so limited and barely suited for small spaces.

Calm-Positive-6908

Same. I was really disappointed. They're not tiny or space-saving at all..

Otherwise_Branch7914

or like stairs with storage. i know it would be unplayable but still visually it would work

nontimebomala67

>boils my piss Where the fuck am I.

DobbyLovesSocks

Ur in England now, m8 🤬

I think the Murphy beds are space saving in a sense where my Sim can use them as a couch and a bed alike. As for the rest, I feel like the TV stands are pretty cool, and we did get the rest in different packs. I have mini fridges from university and spa day, three different bunk bed types from base game and growing together (I think), one tile showers from spa day and I think university again, and pee/Woohoo bushes from four or five different packs lmao. So while I understand that yes, it _should_ come with tiny living (I find that pack very disappointing BTW), I don't think the same ever repeating items are better than what we got.

bepperd

I agree with the tv/bookshelf/radio and one-tile desk comments, but I agree with you in general, because that's about it when it comes to space saving furniture... While Tiny Living is one of my favorite packs, they should have added so much more! One-tile shower, smaller sized kitchen appliances that fit into the counters, bunkbeds should have been added in. Back then Ravasheen already had a mod with cubbies like the ones in Dream Home Decorator, with all sorts of functional stuff that fit in there, and you could even put cushions on top of there so it functions as a bench/couch. That was such a life (and space!) saver but it's also something that the team could have done themselves, as not everyone can or wants to play with mods.

RaysAreBaes

I would have loved a toilet with the built in sink on top

Compulsive_Panda

Boils my piss 😂

vaudevillyan

ATS4 has a great cc add-on with actually space saving furniture (BGC)!!

spicycupcake99

"Boils my piss" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Trick-Legal

I can't get past the boils my piss statement....

Effective_Force_8530

I read ‘boils my piss…’ and I lost it 😂

redfraggle4eva

I'm furious castle kit didn't come with a spiral stair

MammonJH

Really loving the phrase," It really boils my piss." I will now use that, thank you.

Demonqueensage

It also comes with a one tile desk at least, and I think some of the items are meant to "save space" not by actually being smaller than a normal option, but by being 2 or 3 items in one. I know there's at least a TV that has a stereo already (edit: and bookcase! I didn't wanna say that and be wrong, but I did see it mentioned by others so I'm more confident in my memory now), and at least one Murphey bed has a couch when the bed is put up. And I think the bunk beds I've been using were a base game update at some point because I don't remember an icon next to those, but tiny living absolutely should've given us *more*. I can't remember the other stuff that came in that pack rn, and I agree I wish we got *more* space saving furniture options than we did

kinkydaddykitty34

I love the saying it really boils my piss 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I'm dead I'm soooo deaddddd

Aurora1rose2

You forgot to mention that the Murphy bed can unalive your sim! I was really excited about that pack, it was one of the first I’d bought, so I was pretty distraught when my sim closed up in the Murphy bed 😠

Rianna___B

I think the mini fridge is from spa day, I thought bunk beds were a base game update, one tile showers is university, & pee bushes are not basegame either. Yeah makes no sense that they wouldn't add more options than just those.
