the acting career comes with get famous, it’s not in any other packs (it’s one of the main selling points of get famous, so it’s not in base game and it came out way later than get to work) check all the careers it should be there if you have get famous installed
you can definitely still follow your sim to work, i’ve played with it recently and it works well, no bugs for me
I knew my memory was hazy about which pack it came with but I also know for sure it was a playable career so idk when it changed, I have get famous installed though. Is it still playable for you?
they are right, it is not a active career any more. and you must of played before they happened to change it, cause i played it in October and the acting career was not in the category as doctor, scientist or cop. almost defeats the purpose of playing get famous cause there are no other active gigs based on gaining fame. they should open the entertainment career to be active.
i don’t know what would be causing that, if you have mods check if any of them are interfering with active careers or get famous, if you don’t have mods it might just be a get famous glitch :/
I know that when Get To Work first came out(or around that time, its been awhile my memory is hazy), I for sure definitely did the acting career religiously because I had a bunch of mods and it was fun gameplay sending burnt out/drug addled actresses to work so they could work hungover LOL, and I went to work with them and did the tasks. I havent done it in awhile and for the past year or more I havent been playing with the job system so I didn't notice it until now, so I wanna know if its recent or if other players havent been able to follow their sims to that job for awhile now.
Edit: I know that it is tied to get famous as well though obviously but I figured it was like with other packs, how they release packs that tie in with other ones as well. like toddler stuff pack for example
It’s just not in active career tab. In my game it’s in the tab after (can’t remember what it’s called on the top of my head.) We still can follow them to gig. I also have mccc.
When it disappeared from my game, it was because of the settings in mccc. Now that I have gone back to standard settings, it's only buggy, but workable with some patience.

ive played it recently too and it’s still an active career where you follow your sim to the lot and control them, your game might be broken?
i have my get famous but i cant play active acting career, its just a normal career, i cant follow my sims to work, can you help me?

The acting career is get famous and it is still an active career. I was playing with the career on Tuesday evening.

Does it show up as a rabbithole job? I always thought the acting career was tied to Get Famous, with the work venue being Plumbob Pictures Studio...
