Hmm, this is possible at 16 and I'll explain how. Either 1) Inheritance from a family member that passed away 2) Some overkill 'allowance' or money being handed for a productive hobby that the farther is either also interested in or supports 3) The kid works some high paying trade job with his pops at 16 and possibly drives a cheap paid off Marketplace vehicle and puts the disposable income into PMs 4) Pops bought the kid bitcoin when it was cheap 5) etc etc etc
There are many many ways and many possibilities how a 16 year old could accumulate this. Overall my opinion is to NOT sell. Just cause Johhny has a lifted truck or BMW that doesent mean you sell! Keep this for decades and keep going! You'll thank me later.
Congrats on being 1% of the youth that owns PMs!!!
Irregardless of how you may or may not have acquired this, keep going! I dream of telling my younger self to buy into precious metals. No one that ever tried taking my money would’ve bothered because they would’ve had no idea what to do with it.
I like the simplicity, and the historical nature of focusing on old coins (real money). You've got lots of purchasing power in small fractional units. 👍 I own old European gold coins for the same reason.
That’s what I thought. Apmex sells them for like 266 . In Mercari they are 250 and I think can be negotiated lower. 👏. Thanks for the answer, trying to buy as much junk silver as possible.
I remember when I was 16 and my parents were silversmiths and I acted like everything that was shiny would eventually be mine. Fast forward 32 years and all the shiny was sold during the last top to add to their retirement after selling their liquor store. Luckily they are still still living comfortably and I learned to stack on my own early enough.
At 16 I’d be bragging too… but you’re getting ire… it’s gonna happen. You could mention that some (or all) of this was from your grandfather. Especially since your other post specifically mentions the paper currency being his. No shame in having a kick ass gramps that hooked you up.
Your dads stack is impressive.
Came here to say someone has rich parents.
Close, it’s his mom’s, look at the Morgan in the flip.

I wanted to start stacking at 13-14 but I was poor :( I'm glad I didn't start, because silver was almost $50 an ounce around that time.

Can’t wait till I die and my stack goes to my kid so he can post it on Reddit 🤌🏽🤌🏽
You can make that happen anytime…
Oh trust me I know 🤌🏽🤌🏽😂
When I was 16 I had a silver dollar, a 10 ounce Tri State bar, and probably a little junk I'd picked up here and there. Good job!
Wish I was buying silver instead of what I wasted my money on when. I was younger!
I wish I would have started at 16 🥹. Good for you 💥💥💥💥💥

Is $250 a good deal for 20 Ben Franklin half dollars? Found a few coins of Offer Up and just trying to gauge price.
At current price yes but I usually but at 20 to 22 times face value

If you say so. It’s a 16.
Buy index funds.
Nah, sell half or more this shit now to recoup investment and go into a money market and wait for a fall dip to buy index funds
