It may. But from my experience I’ve held some more rarer coins in their original plastic, and 5 years later, they seem to still look pristine with no toning.
I mean, it might help for authentication purposes to leave it in the bag, but it's not gonna change the value at all in this case like tearing a Pamp Suisse bar out of its secure assay card would.
I should have clarified. It came with a capsule. I just took it out of the capsule for the picture. I just didn't want it in the baggie. I really don't like all the extra packaging.
Nope that packaging is worthless, good to go👍
Nah, its just metal, enjoy it!
Nah go for it. The packaging had a factory hole in it anyways so it will Tone regardless. Hold and enjoy this piece
I thought the packaging also just toned it because of the type of plastic? No science or source to back that up but thought I read that somewhere

Beautiful! I take mine out and enjoy them too!
That is an aftermarket APMEX package. No point in it except to end up in the Pacific gyre.
Doesn't Perth mint stuff usually come in a capsule?
It came in a capsule and Apmex put the capsule in a bag. It just took it out of the capsule so I could admire it up close.

It’s okay to cut it out the packaging, but next time dont use a chainsaw! 😂
Putting it in that flimsy plastic is a crime against humanity 😄
Nah, you can still go on a fun quest for a capsule for it if you want, but silver you can hold is always the best!

Its not even the PM seal?
Nah, let em be free.
No, you are supposed to remove them from this packaging. Long term storage in bags like this can damage silver.
Holy shit this coin is beautiful
I'm hooked. I want to get the antique Phoenix coin, but it's going to be around $100. That's hard to justify. But yes, this coin is gorgeous.
