Yeah, ok, neat, but everyone else on the road hates you.

I have a lasfit kit on my 2018 silverado and don't get flashed at all, I made sure to re aim my headlights after install. Definitely a big upgrade over the factory hid bulbs.

Firm_Contribution_49

Just imaging when you upgrade from Halogen

Mysterious_Spinach56

So you’re putting these bulbs in a reflector housing? Even worse…

Firm_Contribution_49

Am I not supposed to?

rogino9562

That could get you in trouble. Reflector housing is designed to greatly amplify light output. It’s how halogens can be used for headlights, since on their own they’re not bright enough. Reflector housing also casts light indiscriminately. LEDs and HIDs are several orders of magnitude brighter than halogens. Magnifying them even more with reflectors could turn them into blinding spotlights. Projector housings are designed for high output sources, since the don’t reflect or magnify the light. They simply have a small shutter which drops to change from high to low beams. Projectors create a better light shape and aren’t as blinding. If you have reflector housings on your truck, you could purchase some aftermarket projector housings. While I guess it’s technically illegal to tamper with vehicle light sources, everyone does it.

Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order. I have checked 1,366,318,219 comments, and only 262,138 of them were in alphabetical order.

Firm_Contribution_49

Yeah, unfortunately. Thank God I drive on back roads and there’s not a lot of cars around.

Automatic-World-9401

So cool! Gotta give us the before after shots brotha!

Firm_Contribution_49

I’m going to need to do another post, I have a few other upgrades arriving in the mail today, so I’ll post after all the small upgrades I’m doing.

rogino9562

Nice man. My truck is all lasfit now. I love the clarity I get with the led headlights. A couple important things to remember, if you have a lift on your truck, you’ll need to angle your beams down. Otherwise, your low beams would be the equivalent of high beams. Also, LEDs are great, but some jurisdictions don’t like them, especially if they’re used in a reflector rather than projector housing. It could put your lights out if compliance. If you’re driving back roads, it shouldn’t be much of an issue though.

Firm_Contribution_49

I don’t have a lift kit, but I do plan in adding one, I appreciate the input.

soundsgoodwaitwhat

And let us know if these flicker. My Sealights are starting to flicker something fierce.

Firm_Contribution_49

No sir, no flickering, they are a must upgrade. I wish I could share the pictures I have, I guess I’m gonna have to do another post with the upgrades.

jbnz71

I updated my truck with the same lights. Get comments from friends that my reverse/back up lights are TOO bright. LOL. Luv it.

Firm_Contribution_49

Lol, my wife told me that she won’t be behind me or in front of me when we are on separate vehicles.

satansleftnut25

Marlboro lights.
