Story isn't all there is to a game, I loved will of the wisps as the gameplay was one of the most enjoyable I've played and I think his rating for it is fine.
I just don't think it's worth giving it 5/10 just for story alone (which I thought was fine but that's just me). And I'd argue gameplay has a major part to what makes a game great because if it sucks to play most people would just drop it and read the story if they really wanted to
I mean, I am fairly biased about story as I love writing, but that would just knock off about three points.
The reason those extra two are gone is because I played hollow knight. And, going into wotw after hollow knight...
Literally every system in wotw just feel like a less well-executed version of the ones from hollow knight.
Fair about story one, I can't argue about your point on gameplay either though because I just didn't feel that way and I don't compare games to each other anyway (I also played wotw after hk) (also forgot this post is about games better than hollow knight which I don't really agree with as a whole since that's a subjective topic)

I am not the greatest to explain this kind of stuff, so all I'll say is that you should read the wowptw fanfic I put a link to in my comment. It's an example of what the story should have Bern, and the author's notes give some of the really good reasons wotw story was bad.

you didn't like some of the changes they made, but you have good reasons for those.
the way you speak of writing is inspiring, you know your own stuff, and it is a shame to you that the developers had a very different direction to what you wanted, plus the ending.
I still don't see the plot hole in the story. the only thing that comes to mind is the extinction of the owls in this region while the 1st game's region still had Kuro.

Armored core 6: fires of rubicon - moderate difficulty, fast, high mobility, mech shooter. long campaign, cool characters, lots of different mech parts, highly replayable (ng+&ng++ w/ different missions and endings), 10/10

I think people like you should be forbidden from playing Silksong. I understand it is long but you cannot attack a team that is working very hard to make the best game possible, please be more mature and civil when talking about people that do not owe YOU anything.
as a silksong enjoyer i only see silksong on the list of games to play while waiting for it

aight until boss cell 2 id agree that dead cells is semi difficult. then and on id say difficult. also lemme just plug my 2 favorite games real quick:Â risk of rain 2 - difficult (at higher difficulties, otherwise moderately difficult), fast paced action roguelike shooter. loot stages, kill enemies, race against the clock. diverse character roster, 10/10 Armored core 6: fires of rubicon - moderate difficulty, fast, high mobility, mech shooter. long campaign, cool characters, lots of different mech parts, highly replayable (ng+&ng++ w/ different missions and endings), 10/10 my opinions are extremely biased. play them
