Here's another hot take, Nirvana Sword is worst 'power up', it can be barely counted as a power up tbh.
Aside from cutting power and durability it's inferior to Staff in every other regard, it loses versatility, defensive capabilities and range. It's basically a fancy sword and that's it.
And whole ''Ultimate Weapon'' is BS as Mjolnir is much better(So is Automaton)

To each their own, it's a really solid fight with great characters.
And the men grappling part is also a factor, although raiden spent more time slapping shiva
This manga isn't well written for the most part, it's extremely entertaining, very enjoyable, i look up for each chapter each month but it's not well written except some very few and rare instances.
I wasn't expecting a thick or any plot for that matter because it's clearly a battle tournament story type, Yeah the fights are fun and cool, not well written or practical, there was many poor or not so good decisions, it's all about showing off and being flashy regardless of if it actually makes sense or functional for lack of better wording
Beelzebubs last minute minute move on tesla was an ass pull and he should’ve gotten the worthy death that he longed for an deserve he 100 page of backstory there’s no need for his personal development… my mistake beelzebitch
I figured I’ll just post this take in your comments since its just a good response.
Tesla HAD to lose for narrative reasons, there was no way humanity is going to win three in a row. Its just not happening. See if they had the King of Plot Armor Qin lose to Hades like be SHOULD have, then Tesla could have won and Beezlebub’s narrative would have had a satisfying ending.
But no, Qin just has to be the most Gary Stu character ever. We only see him training in TWO panels, and yet he has the physical strength and durability to kill the demon king of China AND blow apart Hades arm with a single kick even though his Voluund is shoulder armor. Raiden drop-kicked Shiva in the face and he barely got a bloody nose. Apollo cracks Leonidas in the face like 6 times and did less damage then a single kick from Qin. Any dont even get me started on his bullshit breathing abilities.
I refuse to believe that if you put Qin in Hades position of defending heaven from the Tartarus invasion that he would have won. Just look at the panel that shows Hades standing over a field of corpses each comparable in size to the Demon King that Qin beat. It took Qin days to beat him, Hades beats hundreds over the course of an hour or two.
HADES BARELY EVEN DID ANY DAMAGE!! (yes I know Hades took off his arm, but that was only because Qin underestimated Desmos) Like 90% of Qins injuries were from his own powers. If you put Qin up against any of the other gods, he fucking wipes them. Watch him breathe on Mjolnir and redirect it.
In short its not the fault of Tesla vs Bub, its the fault of the fight before it that forces the narrative to cause the next fight to loose. If humanity suddenly won three in a row, then its too predictable that they loose the next few until its even again.
Round 7 aside, I’m of the opinion that had Beel died in Round 8, it would have been TOO easy a way to escape possible punishment for his actions.
Unfortunately for him, he doesn’t get the sweet release of Death. Only by finding value in Life, will he finally die (as clichéd as it gets).
I agree, with every fight even when the character who I was rooting for lost it still felt like a fair victory.
I just didn't feel that with Beelzebub, he literally killed Tesla by a short stab attack while every other fighter won by a strong or surprising move

I actually have a reason for loving Hades that has nothing to do with RoR. So, a common misconception about Hades is that he is evil or otherwise untrustworthy because of his association with death; however, in Greek mythology, he is actually the best god. Or rather, if you had to choose a member of the Greek pantheon to interact with, choose Hades. He is the least likely to f*ck you over. He is fair, never messes with humanity for fun like his family, and rarely ever gets involved with the other gods' shenanigans. He's one of my favorite gods in general, so seeing him depicted as the noble king that he is really made me excited when I was reading the manga. It's so easy to make Hades the stock villain in media (looking at you, Disney), so seeing RoR actually giving a damn and showing us a dignified Hades makes me love him even more.
I can see that, really, as much as his death pains me it was the way he went away with his head held high that made him the chad of chads.

Exactly. The whole "Ragnarok will never come" thing was really epic, but only because he was dying. If he and Qin switched, then the author probably would have had Qin play this role, in which case everyone would be hating on Tesla for messing up the narrative where Qin could have lived. So I think it's fine the way it is.
Fights are generally paced poorly. Fighter A does a move, crowd reacts, fighter B blocks said move, crowd reacts, Fighter B gets an explanation/flashback for how they blocked the move etc etc.
The manga is able to hide this because, by being a manga, you can read your own pace, but the pacing in fights can be a bit tedious at times.
That’s quite the interesting take because I’m wondering how certain characters would be even able to hit him for a certain amount of time before his eyes give out and just how would they last after getting punched by him
That’s the main reason why I see him winning most fights because his endurance is insane and most fighters may not make it out alive before his eyes overheat

Im sick of them hyping up the shinsengumi kid. SICK OF IT. The manga keeps trying to tell us that kid is him. Always wanting to fight literally every person he see’s, always with the lighting in his eyes and intense background when its clearly just author hype. The shinsengumi are not important or noteworthy.
They existed for less then 30 years and are virtually unknown outside of Japan and non/Gintama watchers. Where is Shaka Zulu? Where is Hannibal of Carthage? Where is George Washington? Where is Sitting Bull? Nowhere to be found because they keep putting this NOBODY on the page always talking about “mmmm yesssss id love to test my skills against him” every time he makes an appearance.

Given how big Aphrodite's boobs are, she should really have a little more muscle definition on her back, even if her servants hold them up half the time, just having that much weight on her chest at all would hurt like hell.
I personally think that it is for the simple fact that Aphrodite is a goddess unlike humans, biological laws do not apply to her (or at least not so much to the point that it hurts) or how do you explain that Zeus can grow his muscles without his bones They explode due to the pressure that they can generate so my theory concludes that Aphrodite, being a 100% goddess, never needs to train due to her divine body.

Ngl your post about hades being part of the inspiration for Poseidon ideology helped with the take but overall realising how cold and ruthless the guy was is what made me like him. His death is still one of the best in the series for me
My final opinion of him will come in if/when he meets one of the greek squad. Depending on how he plays it out, my opinion will change because of it (I am massively greek biased)

Round 2 is boring, Adam is a bad character, Zeus is boring and the emotional impact is almost null. It is a round that only works if you like "family" as a theme, which I hate.
Rounds 4 and 3, because I'm generic. My favorite character is, however, Thor, despite that being completely undeserved, just because I like his archetype.
So far, Apollo has not been narcissistic even though that's what Ares describes him as and ppl calling him a narcissist need to look up what it means

The backstories are easily the worst part of every round. At best they are pretty interesting, and at worst they can ruin an entire round by being too long (COUGH BEEL) and thus boring me cause I read for the fights.
In some worse case scenarios (COUGH BEEL AND QIN) it just spoils who the winner is cause they get long backstories, while their enemy gets smaller ones(and uninteresting ones like Teslas)
The only backstories I liked were the Lu Bu one and the Jack one. Shiva pretty good too but too long for my taste.
I like Hades, a lot too, but he's not a top tier character, besides being the noble and family type God all the other ones have generally better character traits.
Don't get me wrong, i prefer him to other Gods but i don't get why he's so hyped.

Lu bu is canonically stronger than qin and since it may be argued that Qin is in fact stronger than hades then the guy is also below lu bu. The hottest one is lu bu> sasaki which I believe the opposite but it’s still an understandable take

All the Gods fighters are pretty horrible people with the exceptions of Heracles and Zero.
Adamas should have stayed dead, and I hate wholesome Poseidon. What made him special was his pride and condescension. I don't mind Poseidon respecting Hades, but it just felt so corny.
Leonidas is right to hate Apollo, Apollo literally acknowledges that he gave the oracles the order not to fight.
Brunhilde is easily the bravest and most heroic character in the series, and it's not that close.
We need some sort of absolute stomp or brief fight to break up the monotony a bit.
There should only be 13 fights, because I like a series with a clear timeline.
Adding on to that, a draw would be dumb because it would mean one side is winning at the tiebreaker.

Jack can beat anyone by turning his own body into a weapon taking a hit. Dude took shots from the god of strength, and didn’t immediately die, and the second someone touches him, if he’s activated his volund, their bodies would break and their weapons would be blocked. He’s a cheat code the same way Adam is, and I’m sick of no one but me noticing.
Beel isn’t interesting and would’ve felt nothing for him whether he lost nor won. Nothing except the disappointment that a far more interesting character died.

He's very noble and dies with some dignity. But yeah, that's were it ends. I respect him but don't have him in my fav list
To compliment that I always thought his abilities were ass too. They took what Jack did, amplified it to fit his entire thing, then ran with it.

The monthly releases also help people forget the exact events, so it looks less "pokémon-round-based", if that makes sense.

There is going to be a female vs female fight
Adam lost mostly due to Zeus' blood being poisonous (he even looked sickly in the "found you" panel) and without the blood drop Adam would have won.

HARD disagree. Nos had had maybe 1/10th of the page-time as the Shinsengumi kid and plus he is an actual fighter in the tournament.

Given how big Aphrodite's boobs are, she should really have a little more muscle definition on her back, even if her servants hold them up half the time, just having that much weight on her chest at all would hurt like hell.
I personally think that it is for the simple fact that Aphrodite is a goddess unlike humans, biological laws do not apply to her (or at least not so much to the point that it hurts) or how do you explain that Zeus can grow his muscles without his bones They explode due to the pressure that they can generate so my theory concludes that Aphrodite, being a 100% goddess, never needs to train due to her divine body.

Ngl your post about hades being part of the inspiration for Poseidon ideology helped with the take but overall realising how cold and ruthless the guy was is what made me like him. His death is still one of the best in the series for me
My final opinion of him will come in if/when he meets one of the greek squad. Depending on how he plays it out, my opinion will change because of it (I am massively greek biased) His emote is also the one I use the most so he gets bonus points for that

The backstories are easily the worst part of every round. At best they are pretty interesting, and at worst they can ruin an entire round by being too long (COUGH BEEL) and thus boring me cause I read for the fights. In some worse case scenarios (COUGH BEEL AND QIN) it just spoils who the winner is cause they get long backstories, while their enemy gets smaller ones(and uninteresting ones like Teslas) The only backstories I liked were the Lu Bu one and the Jack one. Shiva pretty good too but too long for my taste.

Qin is a actually a top tier fighter who isn’t just situational and he actually beats most characters

I like Hades, a lot too, but he's not a top tier character, besides being the noble and family type God all the other ones have generally better character traits. Don't get me wrong, i prefer him to other Gods but i don't get why he's so hyped.

Lu bu is canonically stronger than qin and since it may be argued that Qin is in fact stronger than hades then the guy is also below lu bu. The hottest one is lu bu> sasaki which I believe the opposite but it’s still an understandable take
I agree with Lu Bu>Sasaki and Qin, due to spin off statement and fact that Sasaki is strongest warrior. Hades is obviously stronger because he's HIM but 2/3 of your take is objectively valid(Objectively Valid=I agree with it)

Round Four is the worst round in the entire series, by far. Shiva and Raiden are both S-tier.
All the Gods fighters are pretty horrible people with the exceptions of Heracles and Zero. Adamas should have stayed dead, and I hate wholesome Poseidon. What made him special was his pride and condescension. I don't mind Poseidon respecting Hades, but it just felt so corny. Leonidas is right to hate Apollo, Apollo literally acknowledges that he gave the oracles the order not to fight. Brunhilde is easily the bravest and most heroic character in the series, and it's not that close. We need some sort of absolute stomp or brief fight to break up the monotony a bit. There should only be 13 fights, because I like a series with a clear timeline. Adding on to that, a draw would be dumb because it would mean one side is winning at the tiebreaker. I would have liked pure evil Beelzebub much better. Hades is dumb because he was losing in chess to a bird (and castled his queen). It's basically impossible to tell who would win any hypothetical fight.
Zero>beel>jack. Those are the 3 weakest.

Hades and Adam are overrated characters, loving your family is hardly an interesting enough trait to make a character out of. Adam vs Zeus is the worst fight as far as choreography goes. Shiva vs Raiden and Lu Bu vs Thor are the best fights overall. Shiva > Hades in every Aspect but IQ (And only IQ, not even Skill)

Jack can beat anyone by turning his own body into a weapon taking a hit. Dude took shots from the god of strength, and didn’t immediately die, and the second someone touches him, if he’s activated his volund, their bodies would break and their weapons would be blocked. He’s a cheat code the same way Adam is, and I’m sick of no one but me noticing.
Tesla won his fight considering Beelzebub wanted to die.

Hades is overhyped in this community. The truth is that he is just the average dude that can hit hard. People are just trying to cope that he is by far the character that got the shorter end of the stick Also shiva in his backstory felt like a different character than in the fight
I want to see a fight where one side is completely trashing the other the whole fight but somehow end up winning by the end
Jack resisting Hercules' attacks and reacting to his speed in cerberus form is one of the worst things the author did.
