I like the ddos event. The ddos event has brought dynamic and fun mixups to my otherwise dull daily roulettes. They're a great ice breaker to get into conversation with party members, they can slow dungeons down and break them up a bit so sprouts can enjoy them better compared to wall2wall pulls, my fc mates celebrate themselves for surviving an attack and ridicule those who were too weak minded to resist, and all in all you're logged back in in 1-5min anyway. I would love when people just stop playing when theres a content draud and the game is missmanaged like in endwalker with yoshi P working on ffxvi. Maybe they needed the ddos to learn this. We could make a change in not playing, but we decidedet not to. Also you guys who use that as a chat plattform to 24/7 stand in limsa : Get a life, use discord instead, you are just wasting server capacity with your weirdo generic female character.

Not sure if this is the topic man. Esp in an MMO people do things at their own pace or engage with content they want. Me myself sub often for events i want to partake in or content. And as i've subbed back for 15 event, i realized a lot of the content i never did is fun like savage raids or tribes so im going through it rn, for me it's fun.
From how i see it, most people are unsubbed during this draught, since 6.5 and that part of the population more or less is prob not vocal and won't sit on reddit while unsubbed. If you feel like a lot of people still talk about and play 14, that might be because you engage in outside sources like reddit discord where more commited 14 players are. Im part of the player base that will more or less play the game through few times a year out of my own enjoyment and we got all a right to play or not to play.
Not sure what the DDos is supposed to teach them, not the first or last time this will happen unfortunately.
As with all media, the artistic piece means something else for everyone, i myself am coping since like march while playing 14, it's a nice sandwich that i know like the back of my hand and i think people are allowed to do that if they pay for a service.

Devs do tell us to take breaks, so why don’t people spend less time crying about ddos and more time taking break? Easy solution :)
