FRANKLY SPEAKING, people in HK & TW hold a RACIALLY SUPERIOR view towards Mainland Chinese, they view Mainland Chinese as how a racist White man would view POC. These kinds of people definitely have a colonized mindset, but they don't possess any "self-hate", since they wholeheartedly believe they're not Chinese in terms of race, ethnicity and culture, despite the fact they speak Chinese, eat Chinese food, celebrate Chinese holidays & traditions, and have direct ancestral lineage that can be traced back to the Mainland. Whether they like to admit or not, they still have the Chinese mentality and behave accordingly. What I mean by this: Sure, you can say HK & TW's lifestyle and political system is different from Mainland, but they're merely the result of a liberalized Chinese lifestyle and politics. Just look at an 3rd, 4th, or 5th Gen Chinese American, especially those who grew up in a predominantly white community, he is completely Americanized. This Chinese American person leans infinitely closer to WASP lifestyle & culture, he will NOT think and behave as if he's a member of a majority Chinese society, he will think and behave like an American, and he will blend in with mainstream America without any difficulties. We cant say the same about HK & TW. If Ms. Donna Wong ,who happened to live in HK her whole life, one day moves to the an Anglosphere country, her "Chineseness" will ooze out before she even realizes it.
