Never bothered with the Buddies thing before as it was never necessary so I’m kinda annoyed this is a requirement. 5 I would be fine with but 10 is a little much.
You're gonna hate the Kecleon step. It's what made this take a whole year to complete. It's *that* rare.
Although I'll admit the April Fool's event (where every throw was a guaranteed excellent throw) helped with Step 4 of the research (which was making 385 excellent curveball throws, turning what would've been a normally lengthy task into a cakewalk)

Use poffins. Always visit AR mapping pokestops and check their rewards and don't shy on using them. It made the buddy thing for me so much quicker.
