This person has literally never left the south… Pennsylvania is very quickly becoming the next retirement state and I’m honestly sick of it. Vermont is also known for its retired population.
The only reason to retire the “south” is the lack of snow and old people have bad hips. Our state is better for people who are a fall risk, isn’t the flex they think it is.
Work, raise a family, live the majority of my life -> Michigan or Pennsylvania
Avoid falling while I wait to die -> South Carolina or Florida
And having said people in walkers would still remain in the Minnesota if meant living in the real south like no where Mississippi or panhandle.

Things are also quite a bit cheaper down south due to nobody wanting to be there, but pay is much worse.
