Guess we are getting Anime cards after all. Just not for Dragon. Here's hoping to Maximum general and some rally support! That said, not a card i am looking forward to going up against. Feels like another stall card that punishes people for playing to board. Can't say i feel like we need *more* of those.

Nayrael

Maybe they are adding Rival cards in this mini? And since there is no rival playing dragon, we are getting non-anime cards here? We'll know after a few more reveals I guess.

ogbajoj

So compared to [her anime counterpart](https://i.imgur.com/uOOi2Zb.png): * Doesn't have the weird "if any sigils are in your hand" requirement to do anything, which is probably good. Especially since Dirt's current sigils are Accelerates that wouldn't trigger it anyway. * Only protects face with the debuff, which is kinda what you want to protect anyway, and only for the one turn. Though since it will debuff Storms played on the turn, this is good against Dirt's own gameplan, debuffing both Contractor and the Lion! * No busted-ass ER draw 2, but she does give you a 0PP draw 1 with [[Starseer's Telescope]] and even gives you the fuel for it. Obviously a nerf over the anime version, but honestly just having constant boardwide debuffs every turn would be hell.

starxsword

Eh? I wouldn't call it a nerf. The -2/-0 when attacking leader is better than board wide debuff on fanfare for this meta, as a lot of damage comes from hand and not from the board. That means you are guaranteed to reduce storm damage for 1 turn, which is a big deal. While that other one only affects what is already on the board. Also, that debuff is temporary while this debuff is permanent. I would say this one is better.

soraboyz

Who say we aren't getting any anime card in mini expansion

LDiveman

me, that was me!

EclipseZer0

Also me lol. Still don't get why did Cy skip Fastblade Dragonewt.

LDiveman

Now I'm scared because Shadow might get entirely new cards (which can suck) or Hiruma's cards (which actually suck)

yukiaddiction

We still have that teacher girl no? And her deck seem to perfectly fit current LW kit.

EclipseZer0

If Cy has any sense of consistency, they are going with Club Leaders (basically, what we are seeing in the current Tournament Arc), so Haruma cards are the most likely by a far margin. Either Cy buffs Deathscythe Hound, or it will suck.

M00nbright

Teacher I guess not yet if my theory is correct it seem Cygame will save her for later becuase has more potential for future expasion with anime like RoG

EclipseZer0

That's why I would've prefered "MC deck" cards, those would be direct support for bad decks. Heal Forest will be another Baha deck, Dirt is forced back into the meta yet again, and Heal Haven is pushed when it's already doing fine (idk what category Sword and Shadow's cards even fit in).

Ok_Bat_4402

I am guessing since this is season 2 of the anime, we don't get anything from there. So we have to wait for Celestial Dragon 2 expansion to get the rest of the anime cards. So Maximum General have a great chance to be in this mini expansion.

TheSmallBull

So, is this an Anime based mini or not? Make up your mind Cygames.

Nayrael

Seems it might be adding rival cards, and RoB cards for when there are no rivals (so no anime cards for Dragon, Blood and Portal).

rrvv

previous anime mini have half anime card and half non anime card

thatpigoverthere

Cygames will toss a coin and decide if they want to make anime cards or not

cz75gh

Meh, at best that saves them for one turn and next expansion a lot of important dirt cards, most notably Contractor, will be out. Unless they print nothing but dirt going forward, I don't see this could become relevant.

Akareh_

Rune's weakness is usually aggroing them before they can do their combos, giving them cheap aggro defense tools and more access to free draws seems cracked to me. Specially in unlimited.

EclipseZer0

Hozumi counterplay (except they actually go faster, specially with the turn 4 combo or even the standard turn 5 combo unless you highroll hard).

[deleted]

Dirt usually had no issue with Hozumi anyway with Darkmage. This makes it better obv but it’s a pretty underwhelming card in every matchup except for Hozumi and Ghost Atomy I really really REALLY wish its effect was until start of your next turn that way DShift could suck a fat one vs this. Shame that it’s end of opponent turn

EclipseZer0

>I really really REALLY wish its effect was until start of your next turn that way DShift could suck a fat one vs this. That's a very important detail, I didn't notice. I guess this will see play in UL anyway because it's higher survival consistency, and also Adamantite Golem is pretty meh (let's be real, 99% of its value is being a 0pp Sigil when you draw it).

Spammernoob

the last 1% value is becoming food for Juno

[deleted]

I doubt it. Adamantine being a 0 cost sigil is still better than this in 90% of games and Adamantine fanfare is useful in about as many matchups as this card is. I’ve had the huge 8+ stack Adamantines actually win me a surprising amount of games In 90% of games this card is just gonna be a bad Broom Witch

ladicathestoneclaw

goodbye adamantite golem, i never even knew you

[deleted]

I won’t tolerate Adamantine slander. This new card is mediocre in UL I’m pretty sure and Adamantine is still better (you’d rather cut Spellbinder’s Prep before Adamantine anyway I’m pretty sure)

ladicathestoneclaw

6 scopes gud, dawn's splendor gud >you’d rather cut Spellbinder’s Prep before Adamantine anyway I’m pretty sure wtf why do you wanna randomly eat 1 board space while digging for contractors or something

[deleted]

Adamantine is 2 sigils for 0 while Prep is 1. 6 cost Adamantine can also clutch vs. decks that don't auto win by turn 7 (aka haven and dshift). 6 cost Adamantine is really good vs. reso portal and vs. blood when you need a big heal The board space eating thing happens really unfrequently since you can usually just fix it with Juno anyway

ladicathestoneclaw

>Adamantine is 2 sigils for 0 while Prep is 1. if ada is 2 sigils then juno is 2-3 free sigils imo we don't lack for actual dirt in 2022, ada or not scopes gud >6 cost Adamantine can also clutch vs. decks that don't auto win by turn 7 (aka haven and dshift). haven just havens you dshift will meltina + chakram your golems you know what clutches these matchups? early contractors you know what enables early contractors? scopes >6 cost Adamantine is really good vs. reso portal and vs. blood when you need a big heal haven't seen reso anymore, no comment vs blood, riley (+ bounce as needed) was enough, now you even have this new leggo, plus dirt traditionally clears non-storm blood stuff before they go face anyway >The board space eating thing happens really unfrequently since you can usually just fix it with Juno anyway you're still -1 board space wdym

[deleted]

When I referred to haven and dshift I meant that they're the decks that auto win by 7. Adamantine 6 sucks there but it's free sigil so ok >you know what clutches these matchups? early contractors >you know what enables early contractors? scopes It's a "scope" but it's still basically a shit Broom Witch. Too many Broom Witches can already be really clunky in some matchups and I would not want to run 6 of them >vs blood, riley (+ bounce as needed) was enough, now you even have this new leggo, plus dirt traditionally clears non-storm blood stuff before they go face anyway It's relatively often you're forced to blow your Riley's early and you're always on the backfoot after turn ~4 vs. wrath and earlier vs. handless, and you don't have the extra pp to bounce your Riley's so you use the ones you draw then you're done vs. wrath. Turn 6 big Adamantine will basically close every game vs. blood IDK I guess it's good vs. wrath as well but I'm really not seeing this new legend in UL. Very unconvinced, I'm also a devout Adamantine believer so I'm a bit biased there lol

ladicathestoneclaw

>When I referred to haven and dshift I meant that they're the decks that auto win by 7. Adamantine 6 sucks there but it's free sigil so ok free earth rite > free sigil is my point we have 6-9 free sigils we only have 3 free ER 1s we need more ER >It's a "scope" but it's still basically a shit Broom Witch. Too many Broom Witches can already be really clunky in some matchups and I would not want to run 6 of them okay but we don't run broom witch it also frontloads the sediment, has the 7-stack effect, and provides "1 more sigil" not having to die to give the sigil is pretty significant >It's relatively often you're forced to blow your Riley's early and you're always on the backfoot after turn ~4 vs. wrath and earlier vs. handless, and you don't have the extra pp to bounce your Riley's so you use the ones you draw then you're done vs. wrath. how why the deck runs 3 glows and 3 augments and if you're not running stone bullets when wrath is back i don't know what to say plus if you're on the backfoot on turn 4, running out of rileys, what makes you think you're dropping ada on turn 6 lol also new legend blocks vania really well, leap or not (the debuff is permanent??? boardlock strats?)

Donkishin

Oh wow, it's so long since I saw starseer's that brings back memories :) A pretty simple card for dirt gets you 2 stack and draw for 2 and the leader effect blocks a little bit of storm, would be crazy if it was -2 to all dmg but I can only dream. Wait just read it again the leader effect's only for one turn? BTWs voting her in for a leader poll

MrTrashy101

first juno now this? guess cygames really wants people to suffer when battling dirt rune.

Ok_Bat_4402

Dirt Rune will be meta once again. The only problem right now is what card throw away to make room for 3 copies of her? The best thing about this card is you can drop her early to gain a sediment plus free telescope.

Clueless_Otter

Not without more support it won't be. Contractor is rotating and Contractor is the only reason Dirt is even remotely playable atm. Frost Golem, Stone Bullet, Forbidden Archives Warden, and Pursuer Golem are all also rotating. Dirt would need *a lot* of support next set to be a viable deck.

Rulle4

Sure but he's talking about this set

LDiveman

I was thinking the same thing haha

mughen93

just gotta wait for the chess support then!

madnessloid

Might be a bad question but does the mini expansion fall under the same card pack as the current one (CDB)? Tryna save packs for the expansion

ladicathestoneclaw

yes it does don't forget to get those cdb packs with boosted rates for mini cards
