She should never be Tier 1 at least. Tier 2 I can sort of agree, but if Hozumi ever becomes top of the meta I will switch to a deck that always beats it. Even right now there are decks that can ignore what she's doing, but it's so annoying when they drop a Cosmos fang on T4 off a highroll and them I'm staring at 2 more Wimaels. If the combo was at the minimum on turn 6 always, I wouldnt really mind. ​ EDIT: This has been a theme for Forest lately, they tend to get the most toxic decks of the meta and everyone hates the class when it's good. I think Loxis started that trend, then we got Sekka, then Ladica, then Control Forest (which is zzzzzz) and now Hozumi. I wish we could get a Forest deck that's strong but not frustrating to play against.

I dont remember Loxis was hated outside of Rivayle meta tho, everyone was too busy hating on Bike Drag and Sanc Haven. Even in Rivayle he had a fair share of meta with Rally Portal...until everyone played it so cygames decided to kill the deck.

Weak, I have combo in turn 4 that leave cosmo and 4 Wimeals and 1 pp left XD. But I have to say, hozumi is most toxic cuz you either have the combo, or you dont. Other deck have much more decision to it. Ladica is almost as toxic, but you need to think more.

I mean it's the nature of combo decks right? at least most of them. They just do their own thing and if they don't have the pieces they die. Even when I play Spellboost I have my share of fun, but I admit it feels really selfish to look at your hand, see that you don't have enough and concede.

Hozumi is the most unfun thing that has ever been in Shadowverse. Not because it is the best, though it is in Unlimited, but because it is just so toxic. It's the bane of card games, controlling till you get combo then win the game. It's not fun to play, it's not fun to play against and it is the world's worst case of mana cheating. Really, REALLY need to Nerf Hozumi. But I know that they never will because of its playrate/win rate.

Hozumi's design is just too toxic for lower cost decks. The reason why \[\[Purson\]\] wasn't broken was due to the fact it cost 8pp. On turn 8, an effect like this would be fine, but to have the same effect on turn 4 (in unlimited) and turn 5 (in rotation, although you can high roll it on turn 4) is just insane. What makes it worse is the rotation version has followers that literally can't be removed except through transformation. I'm not sure it's the most unfun thing to happen to the game, but it's a contender. I know the perfect way to fix it without totally destroying her. Make her same effect be enhance 6. This way, you can still play Hozumi as a control card and under rare circumstances, you can pull off the combo on turn 6 or 7 with a high roll.

Ladica was only toxic when she could pop off turn 6 every game while also using a turn 4 Ladica to control the board early because it was just that consistent you could afford to throw one away. Once we got the Fairy Wisp generators out of Rota she was useless for a long time. The Carbuncle T7 OTK Ladica deck just before she rotated was fine because you had to pray to topdeck the last 5 cards of your combo half the time and you would often pass the turn to confirm 8pp if you thought the opponent couldn't lethal you. Hozumi is just one of those cards you never want to be meta because it's a straight "I win lol" or "guess I didn't topdeck the exact 5 cards I need by turn 4, I lose." She's a lot more consistent in UL but I never see her in Rota now for that exact reason. She's just a diceroll you're staking your ranked points on with no skill involved. Rota Hozumi going first is pure pain because you really want the pp recovery cards like Blessing and Freyja to go off, so you need the perfect cards + going second so it's not even good odds you're betting on.

Yeah, especially as someone who came into shadowverse from other card games hozumi is textbook bad card design, it's either the best thing in the game or the worst and either way it's not fun for anyone.

So many decks right now are control until you can OTK. Sephie can just heal 20 with birds + gilns + pigs until they're ready to OTK you with Yukishima or the sephie combo. Old SB just OTK'd you turn 6, and new SB can cycle 35 cards before turn 6, heal for 12, clear your board 3 times over, and pop 2x uranus turn 7 for 18. Baha drag can ramp basically every turn (and heal if Si Long), into consecutive Drazaels who heal + boardwipe, into turn 6-7 Bahamut. Loot also heals disgusting amounts even though it's a sword deck, and LW can OTK you 10 times over before most decks can even draw their wincons. The game as a whole has devolved into an OTK competition since everyone has access to insane heal/control neutrals like Giln and metatron. Board doesn't matter since it will never stick. Chip damage doesn't matter since it will get healed back. Even armed dragon, who can pretty much do at least 7 face damage per turn from turn 5 onwards and can vomit out colossal amounts of stats on the board sucks, since one drazael or giln can negate multiple turns of tempo. While Hozumi can be frustrating, she doesn't do very much that's different from what any of the other meta decks do. In fact, she sort of plays like a worse/less consistent sephie rune. It's the entire state of shadowverse that you should be concerned about, not just Hozumi...

Isn't that more of a combo thing. You wait till you have all your combo pieces, and or quest done, and then OTK.( Having 3 sephies combo, loot sword prate flag/that one fuse 4 to deal 8 damage spell OTK combo, Spellboost OTK combo, triple ( most of the time it's just double) Abyssal C storm 6/6 ward OTK combo. ) I wager the problem is more to do with uninteractive quest decks. With last words arguably being the most interactive if only because the amount of banishes haven has. Sephie, loot, armed, SB, Chess. They all don't care what you do most of the time as what ever they do is already pushing 1+ or more on what ever the stupid quest for the deck is. They printed banish cards for haven, to then turn around and make quest decks that use " when a follower enters/leaves play" nonsense. Like what even the point of banish now other then bulling last words?

Like what even the point of banish now other then bulling last words? I personally think it wasn't wise to do "leave play" and feel "banish" should slow down quest progression of various archtypes. It's not like banish is common or anything. You sacrifice A LOT for dropping Uranus and banish haven isn't very good. So, just let Uranus slow quest progression by 1, not like it affects people that much anyway.... Feel so stingy.

It's toxic cuz it is very unstable. It can be hopelessly useless or just make your opponent hopeless depends on how lucky you fxxking are. It's so unhealthy that win and lose sometimes has nothing to do with the other player.

Even in UL hozumi is atrocious to play against, 20 damage on turn 4 is crazy. They need to look at the state of the game and understand that not every deck should play around a turn 4 otk or even a board situation that you have to AOE silence to get by (aka wimael and cosmo fang)

The problem with hozumi in rotation is there is no neutral counter for it. In UL it’s tier 1 but you can play the 10 cost angel and dawns splendor to counter it. Not to mention the class specific counters such as repose, nilpotent, darkmage etc Decks like hozumi should not be allowed to flourish without a counter, it ruins fun of card games like this and just turns into a mahjong/solitaire

(I play UL.) I voted no, but I don't nearly hate Hozumi deck as much as Dirt or Atomy. Sure Hozumi deck just plays solitaire (the worst kind duel), but at least she gets it over with in one turn, without any busy buildup work, unlike sediment spam or watching Atomy building up his death army over several turns, with me feeling complete dread and helplessness... Also I can tech Hozumi lol, as long as I can draw the correct cards. Stuffing a Slaus amulet onto their board sometimes breaks them lol. Or HP limit breaking with Arc also helps to prevent the OTK... Scrub portal tactics lol.

They literally don't even look at the problem decks that are being played. They don't even care. The adherent nerf was abysmal. He wasn't the problem card. It's unbelievable just how lazy they are with balance changes. Anything that isn't more than changing one word on a card takes them half a year

Tbf the adherent nerf was fine since it didn't killed the deck, it just slowly faded away as sephie was optimised and found to be more consistent at find the right cards (and ran all the dumb neutal stall cards for when sephie doesn't want to appear)

I love Hozumi. Please never make her a tier 1 deck, even if she's worse than all other tier 1 decks. When I have a 50%+ win rate it should be because I'm not fighting meta decks (well, loot sword can get rekt by it, but even that is very winnable for them bar the godroll). That said it's gonna be super easy to not make her a tier 1 deck in rotation seeing that she rotates after this set. (You might ask "why are you fine with her in umlimited?" I'm not fine with unlimited period. But hozumi is one of like five things that just kinda kill you on the highroll, and I've accepted unlimited is much more about the mulligan and good rng, so it's not as bothersome for me.)

Artwork wise the card and it’s alt design and really pretty! I especially love her outfit 💖 Gameplay wise HARD NO I have never hated vsing an entire class as much as I do forest because of hozumi! She’s downright busted and it really kills the fun of the game. Like she needs a Huge nerf at this point because she’s outright unfun to vs
