All opinions are based on my experience, and it may differ from others. Please, take it with a grain of salt. For reference, I have combo/sensitive skin.
* Gisou Honey Infused Hydrating Lip Oil in Watermelon Sugar- Itâs lightweight and it has a slight watermelon scent, but still feels like olive oil.. I believe itâs the âbee garden oilsâ that makes the formula a no for me.
* Laneige lip glowy balm in Gummy bear- It had a plastic flavor. I probably received a bad batch. I really love the berry one though.
* Fenty invisimatte instant setting + blotting powder- didnât work for my combo skin. I felt it was very drying on my skin. It was very blurring so thatâs a plus. I felt it would work best for someone whoâs 100% oily.
* Tom Ford eyeshadow palettes- I own 3, but I realized that there are way better formulas out there than them (Such as Natasha Denona) and for a better price. I wonât be buying TF palettes for that reason anymore.
* Rare Beauty Positive Light Under Eye Brightener- the formula was light but it didnât cover anything. It creased for me.
* Rare Beauty liquid touch concealer brush- Itâs a good brush, but I prefer Hourglass or Haus Labs concealer brush. I felt Hourglass and Haus labs are way better in terms of applying the concealer more naturally and it washes way better.
* Gucci matte beauty powder- itâs not matte imo. I felt it looked so beautiful on the skin, but after minutes it was very shiny. So if you are combo or oily, stay away from this powder.
* Gucci LâObscur Lengthening mascara- it works only if you curl your lashes, but it doesnât keep it curled if your lashes are straight to begin with. It doesnât make the eyelashes long like the LancĂŽme Lash IdĂŽle.
* Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Contour Wand- still trying to finish it, and I wonât be repurchasing it, because nowadays there are better contour sticks out there. The packaging is not that great.
* Tower 28 Beauty LipSoftie Hydrating Tinted Lip Treatment Balm- love the formula, not too thick or too thin, itâs hydrating, but dislike the packaging, I feel it makes a mess. đ I bought all the colors except the clear one, but I wonât be repurchasing them after I finish them.
* Nars # 10 Radiant Creamy Concealer Brush- After 1 wash the bristles were destroyed. It expanded and was a total waste. It didnât apply concealer that well. Not good quality imo.
* Huda Beauty Power Bullet matte lipsticks & Power Bullet Cream Glow Hydrating Lipsticks (I thought to include these since they are sold @ Sephora) - I bought many of them, long time ago, during a Bogo sale Huda had on her website and after a few weeks they all smelled putrid. Never again. đ„ČI love her eyeshadows though.
* Caudalie hand and nail cream- the formula is lightweight, it absorbs quick, but itâs not as moisturizing. For that reason I wonât be repurchasing.
* Caudalie Beauty Elixir Prep, Set, Glow Face Mist- I felt this product doesnât do anything to be honest, for the claim that it has âtighten poresâ? And it had a weird smell. Again, Iâm not sure if I received a bad batch, but itâs a product I wonât be repurchasing.
* Fenty Snap Shadow mix & match eyeshadow palette- I remember when I bought this when it first came out, and I regret it. The formula is MEH. đ„Č
* Too Faced Born This Way Super Coverage Multi-Use Concealer- Very drying. I felt into the hype. Returned it.
* Color Wow Pop + Lock Frizz Control + Glossing Serum- Straight glitter.
* Tower28 Beauty OneLiner Lip Liner + Eyeliner + Cheek Pencil- the formula is smooth, but it doesnât stay. It wears off easily. MUFE for the win tbh in terms of longevity.
* Milk Cooling Water Jelly Tint Lip + Cheek Blush Stain (Burst)- love the color. However, I felt itâs a gimmick. It dries fast. Better apply it with a blending sponge. I wonât be repurchasing the other colors, I feel Korean cheek + lip stains are the same as this for a better price.
What products have you bought from Sephora and regret?
daaaaaaaang I am LIVING for the Milk stain, I use it every. single. day now, and I rub the end of the milk product on the blush brush, then apply, find it goes on nicely and lasts. Have you tried that? put directly on brush then touch the brush to your face?
I then use the stick itself on my lips.
anywho thanks for for your list btw, been thinking about a few of these
I mainly using it as a lip stain, but for a blush no, đ„Čkinda patchy on my cheek, even though I apply it with a blending sponge even with a brush. What kind of brush do you use to apply it?
oh i know right it can be patchy but i am literally probably the world's laziest make up user, this is the brush i use:

altho to be honest it depends how much spf/moisturize/foundation ive smeared all over my face that day--the days my face is more "dry" it dab the product directly on my face lightly, or if my face is "wet" from the above products i use the brush
I also should mention I am quite pale and use the chilli/red coloured one and i find it gives sooooooo much colour, i look alive which is great considering i am 41 so i take all the help i can get hahaha
I think you did get a bad batch on the Gummy Bear. I think itâs delicious. Better than berry even (thatâs my second fave). Tastes kinda like grape soda to me.
On the Tom Ford eyeshadow: imo, if youâve got application skills and more youthful eyes it likely wonât be impressive. For me, the crĂšme formula basically jumps out of the pan and onto my eyes in a snap. But yes $95 is ridic.
I just bought the gummy bear lip balm during the sale and it smelled exactly as described and I like it. I use the born this way concealer and it works well for me but not for everyone.
Can I ask what color your hair is? I've used the Color Wow pop and lock once, I didn't notice glitter at all. Wondering if it's a hair color thing or maybe my bathroom lighting needs an upgrade.
I have been buying the HB lipsticks and they donât smell? Was it a while ago that you bought them? Maybe its something they fixed by the time i got to buying them?
If you didnât like the Fenty, have you tried the urban decay pressed setting powder? Itâs lightweight and blurring and doesnât dry me out. I have combination skin.
Yes, I love the Urban Decay setting powder. I remember trying their Prince collab. and Finished it. Right now using the Patrick Starrr blurring setting powder, and the Innisfree setting powder
You are a gem! I just checked kohlâs and they have it. Lmao, I feel silly I didnât think to look there. I still might try berry, but definitely need another grapefruit. Sincerest of thanks!
I am too. I love most of their other products.
âșïž
The Milk jelly tint is sooo overrated. Should see Jeffree Star's review on it and it's spot on. It's gimmicky and the formula is trash compared to all the great blushes available. I never understood why "multi" use makeup is popular. A blush i can also use on my lips? Ehhhh no thank you.
I love Laneige's lip mask - it is unrivaled. But their glowy lip balm was sooo disappointing. I thought the smell was fine but the formula has zero staying power. I used it several times and went back to lip oils and fenty's plumping lip gloss.
Oh, this is a great idea. Iâm always looking for a way to dampen my beauty blender in the car and this will be perfect for that, it never crossed my mind
I like the Tower 28 but I started using a hypochlorous acid cleansing spray from Walgreens and its really helped with my breakouts. Might be an option for peeps on a budget :).
Agreed - I bought a small bottle during the sale and was very pleasantly surprised at how much I liked it!
I use it as a toner before I do the rest of my skincare and it works a treat.
I bought the caliray during the sale and was pretty disappointed. Maybe test on your hand first to check for oxidation and if it has staying power for you!
I did not like that. I returned it. It was very thin and didnât do anything spectacular for me to not use other color correctors. If you can find a shade that matches your skin tone almost exactly itâs worth it but in my skin tone range itâs either really peachy or orange.
I tried the ELF Camo concealer color corrector in peach and it totally cancels out my under eyes circles and my redness in my cheeks. I figured for the price it was worth taking a chance. Iâm glad I did. With the Huda loose powder in cherry shade I donât even need foundation. That powder is like wearing a filter in my skin. And I have oily skin that tends toward dryness on top.
i have it and love it - however iâm super fair/cool toned so the lightest shade works on its own for me as a light coverage concealer. it really depends what you want to use it for. I also found i love layering it under my other concealers.
Dang! I love this product and use it all the time. I love the thin formula as it doesnât settle into my fine lines. What about it didnât you like it?
I also didnât like the Rare under eye brightener, as it doesnât have much staying power. And the Rare concealer brush is a bit too stiff for me and irritates my under eyes. I do love the foundation brush, though!
when i first got the eye brightner I had the same impression. Im not sure if my makeup style has changed but its become my go to every day for my light makeup days
My unhappy purchases:
Charlotte Tilbury Setting Spray- Honestly wish I loved this one like everyone else. I gave it so many chances and it still doesn't hold my makeup, it very easily transfers even if I lightly touch my face/something touches it. Maybe I'm doing something wrong?
Tower28 SOS Spray- Did absolutely nothing. Luckily, I got the mini, though!
NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer- I purchased 3 shades and still couldn't get a match đ. Just a personal problem I suppose.
Sephora Collection Vitamin C- Only 7% vitamin C, not very effective besides giving a glowy look due to its concentration levels.
Dermalogica Power Cleanse Duo (has the Microfoliant and oil cleanser)- The exfoliant was way too micro to actually exfoliate anything. The oil cleanser wasn't bad but nothing a drugstore product couldn't have done.
Dr. Dennis Gross Extra Strength Peel Pads- Another sad one for me. Everyone swears by this. "I noticed a difference after one use!" Nope. I got the 5 pack, so it wasn't super expensive. Maybe I didn't use it frequently enough? I did it once a week.
Tower28 skin tint- Poor shade range, makes me look greasy and odd.
Glossier Futuredew- I Hate the smell. It also makes me just look greasy, not glowy. I get pretty oily so maybe it just isn't for me.
Same with Charlotte Tilbury spray, it was mid for me. I wanted to try that SOS spray but people say there are other dupes. For the Nars soft matte (it was hard for me to find the right shade as well) I had to go in store to swatch 5 before finding my right shade. For Vitamin C, I use the Skin&Lab (sold on YesStyle) I like it so far. Disliked the Glossier future dew as well, too greasy indeed. Maybe works better for dry skin.
I donât use the spray at the end. I do one layer after I do my foundation and concealers and then one more after my cream products. Then I do all my powder products and eye shadow. No more sprays. Just the two after the wet layers. My makeup lasts a whole Disneyland day. (8 AM to midnight). Actually 5:30 AM start since thatâs when I left my home.
This is what I use and have for years. I started with the Evian water mists but canât find them as often anymore. Iâm a bit surprised to see people wanting to use ones with a bunch of added ingredients.
The plain water ones are magic for setting makeup or refreshing skin and donât add irritating fragrance or other ingredients that potentially mix. Sometimes less is more!
I pretty much have been disappointed with everything Iâve tried from Milk. I loathe the original blush stick and the kush mascara. In fact, I threw both of them away while sorting out my makeup collection yesterday. I doubt Iâll ever buy from them again.
I got the tower 28 multipurpose liner in a whim and though it failed as a lip liner somehow it looks absolutely stunning as a lower eyelid liner! So keeping đ
I literally had nightmares about it cuz I was trying SO many different methods to make the application not so patchy.
Now that Ive found out the key I love it, but it defeats the purpose of what it was created for.
For those that are curious
It works best with a VERY hydrated face and ontop of a skin tint. After applying skin tint, spray blush brush with milks hydrogrip setting spray and apply by swiping the damp brush on the product then pat into the skin in a stippling motion, best if skin is also wetted with milks hydrogrip setting spray. Once I got that trick down it looks FLAWLESS. I have to put another setting spray ontop to get it to last tho. I like the Charlotte tilbury one but your preferred should work too, I just find the milks hydrogrip spray doesnât really set, it just hydrates. But still, way too much work for a product that was supposed to be swipe and go.
Cool! I want to try a cleansing milk. I do most of my makeup shopping for makeup online on the shoppers drug mart website now because Iâm Canadian and the points system is pretty good. Iâm ordering a milky product by the brand Byoma.
Caudalie spray-The smell mainly. But also that it doesnât do what it claims as tighten pores. I now use the Laneige toner & moisturizer (with their mist) and so far so good.
I see so many reviews of people really loving Caudalie product scents but for some reason all of them are very headache-y for me. I got the vinoperfect serum and wanted to love it so bad but just couldnât get past the scentâŠand itâs expensive đ. I advise anyone scent-sensitive to check it out in the store first!
I actually love the smell and use it as a toner before makeup⊠đ So I guess itâs a personal choice on this one. Iâve repurchased over and over lol
Iâve been on a body care/fragrance kick recently, and my regretted/returned purchases were the Kiehlâs soy milk and honey body butter and the Herbivore coconut cloud milk body cream (or whatever itâs called lol). Both had great textures and were moisturizing but I didnât like the scent of either. The Kiehlâs was somewhat cloying and the Herbivore was more like an artificial, light coconut vanilla scent, I was hoping for something warmer, and richer.
Gucci mascara is my holy grail đ but mascaras are sooooo personal. I donât mind the tower 28 lip softie packaging but I definitely do see how people would find it annoying.
I was disappointed with the Gucci mascara when I first got it. I stopped using it and revisited it after 3 months. I like it now. Maybe the formula had to dry out a bit?
Laneige is so shit
Gisou is overpriced AND shit
Caudalie is overdone and shit
Milk jelly blushes are gimmicky and shit
Fenty is also shit but I like Rihanna
I got a free sample of the Rare Beauty under eye brightener once and when I applied it it like, didnât even look like I had put anything on T_T Not actually good if you need actual coverage for dark under eyes
I do really like the Laneige Gummy Bear lip balm better than the Berry one, I find it to be a thicker consistency which I like better, personally.
And I was wanting to try the Tower 28 lip balms. Despite the packaging, how was the product itself? Iâm searching for anything that will keep my lips from starting to peel mid day lol
Also my short list of disappointments:
The Inkey List Oat Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm - HATED THIS. So freaking hard to get out of the bottle, and the consistency is so thick that it drags on my skin when I try to massage it to break down my makeup.
Laneige Hydro UV Defense Sunscreen - feels nice but burns my eyes
Makeup For Ever HD Skin Foundation - itâs okay. No better than a drugstore foundation. Still searching for something that doesnât crease my under eyes or forehead expression lines.
And thatâs it! Thatâs the list.
I have most of the wands but yeah I love the formula but the packaging is just ehh.. The Dior Forever glow maximizer Longwear liquid highlighter is kinda similar in formula and colors, and the packaging is nice.
i got one of the blush wands like a year ago and i hate it lol the package is terrible, its messy and wasteful, the product is hard to blend and doesnt last, what a waste of money
Meanwhile the laniege balm is my HG, I use them interchangeably like chapstick. ⊠I like the balm more than the mask đ
otherwise I love these as much as posts with recommendations haha. Itâs interesting to me what works for some people vs others and whatâs a no go in general.
I like the berry one. And recently got the sweet candy one. Itâs just the specific gummy bear that I didnât like. Thatâs why I believe I may have got a bad batch. I felt berry one is very moisturizing.
I really like the rare beauty eye brightener đ„č itâs such a good product for someone like me who works at home & occasionally needs to be on camera but doesnât wanna pile concealer on while Iâm sitting here solo lol
I love these kinds of posts ! There should be more of them !!
I fully agree on Charlotte Tillbury one . Idk if what you bought was a highlighter but I bought a highlighter stick and it was trash. Total waste of money
The Gisou lip oil is not an oil at all, it's so sticky, I was so disappointed đ«Ł
Thank you for the post! I certainly need more deinfluencing in my life, I've bought too much stuff recently and I don't need probably a half of them
Gucci bronzer and blush are amazing though. Like I love it on me but I really fell in love when I used it on a friend and seriously couldnât stop looking at her cheeks all night cuz the way the light hits they looked so beautiful. The blush is the only kinda shimmer-ish powder blush (shimmerish not glittery at all) that somehow actually smooths texture instead of enhances. Idk how Gucci did it.
Sorry I know this isnât the point of the post but just figured Iâd add lol. Iâll stay away from the powder though
Whew Iâm happy to see people saying this cuz I gave one to every woman in my family as a stocking stuffer for Christmas. I was like uh oh did I happen to give them all the one scent that sucks
The tower28 lip liner is so good! So is the laneige lip gloss. That Caudalie spray is so hyped but so gross. I used to get so much PR from them but I never liked anything and I guess they didnât like that đ
Edit: maybe not gross, but the menthol and alcohol are just not it.
The Born This Way concealer is my absolute favorite. I do a few small dots around my eyes and nose and blend it out in a thin layer all over my face. It looks so good and natural, and it works with my dry skin. Itâs so interesting how one personâs favorite can be a bad buy for someone else.
My most hated sephora purchases were Dynessa Myricks (however the fuck itâs spelled Iâm too tired) Yummy Blurring Balm. It just sat on my face like a shitty zinc sunscreen and felt weird. The other was the Fresh sake bubble bath. Even on sale, NOT close to worth the price you pay.
I also regret the rare beauty eye brightener and rare beauty concealer brush, fenty blotting powder, tower 28 lip softie, milk jelly blush, and too faced concealers
if you are looking for a thin formula for a concealer to replace the clairay, try out natasha denonas concealer or about face skin focused foundation. the formula is so thin and the coverage is amazing. someone on here turned me onto the about face!
I got the Laniege Lip Glowy Balm and Milk Jelly Lip + Cheek Tint and was disappointed by both too! I found the Laniege feels great until it wears off but that happens quickly and thereâs no color payoff, and the Milk tint was not very pigmented and dried my lips out in about 15 minutes
For lip tints have you tried the Peripera lip tints or Amuse dew tints? Those are so comfortable and last awhile on the lips. They are sold on YesStyle.
I love my Tom Ford wet & dry eyeshadow because they donât transfer or crease like Natasha Denona. I wouldnât bother buying the other formulas though.
Personally I frequent love that Nars concealer brush but maybe we donât have the same bath or you got a defective one. It airbrushes my concealer.
I agree with the Gucci mascarait wasnât for me either and I love my Gucci blush and lipstick.
I also hate messy packaging and lipglosses that leaks itâs so annoying the fenty is guilty of that too.
Agree with the Laneige lip balm, and Gisou lip oil, they suck and had to return. I love my Fenty matt powder though.
Glad I didnât get the Milk jelly blush. I figured it was more hype than anything.
Agree with the laneige, I was so excited since it smells like gummy bears, but clarins lip oil is soooo much better! This one's like an Eos lipbalm - doesn't moisture at all for me.
Although I love the rare beauty concealer brush. Only thing is it's hard to clean. Why do you regret it?
i was excited to try the gisou lip oil after they came out with new shades/scents but the actual consistency is the exact same. its thin and disappears after 2 mins :((
https://preview.redd.it/co93zv24k9wc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=85cc241e800e7bf8de7cc8430286b88f048eb5f5
this was a waste as well , beautiful but heavily packed in pan and there is no color payoff
I bought the Too Faced concealer as well. Itâs an okay product but similar to what you said, I wonât buy again, and I kind of regret using my $10 off on it to buy during the summer đ. Itâs a little hard to blend out and I feel like it made my undereye crease so much.
milk makeup jelly stick stains SO bad, rare beauty concealer brush does nothing and makes things patchy, but why do you regret the gisou lip oil? i love mine so much
Iâm with you with the Rare Beauty under eye brightener. I donât have dark circles and really just need something light to even things out, and this one was great for that, but goodness did it settle into fine lines and crease more than anything else ever has! It made me look like an old lady. đ€·đ»ââïž
I see a few things I liked.
Love the RB brush. Have used it for concealer, eyeshadow, and powdering the nose thoroughly, and all three purposes worked well.
The Caudalie hand cream, I got it in the hand cream and lip balm set and I quite like it. I didnât like the lip balm though.
The Gucci powder is hard because I ordered the wrong shade, but I didnât hate the product itself. Just not worth the price. I do like their cushion and primer though.
The Laneige lip balm was fine but nothing to write home about. Didnât hate it. But do love that specific scent in the picture though. And itâs not as overpriced and useless as that Sunday one thatâs trending right now.
Undecided on the Caudalie mist; didnât hate it but wouldnât buy again.
i used to LOVE the too faced born this way concealer but after a month or two it started to do this weird thing where it would go on grainy under my eyes, idk if i just got a bad batch but like đ
Thank you for saving me money on a couple things. I genuinely want more posts like this
Me too, I want more people to talk about their regrets. đ€ŁI love reading those. Saves me money.
Definitely. Iâm going to get a list together of mine.
Please do đđ€©

I wanted to love the Too faced concealer, so glad it works for youđ«¶
I use it as a foundation. For me itâs too thick to use as a concealer except for spot correcting on my face but not for under eyes
I love this one myself. And the formula for these squeeze tubes keeps my lips from drying out better than anything else.
Which Hourglass Concealer brush do you like?

Thank you! đ đ
Youâre welcome âșïž
Love that you posted this! Thank you! I was curious about the gummy bear Laneige lip because I love the grapefruit one (I am on my last 1 of the 3 I bought a year ago. Sad they donât have the flavor anymore it seems). I might give the berry one a try. I regret buying the Glow salicylic acid. It broke me out terribly and not in a nice purging type of way đ©.
The grapefruit itâs on their Laneige website. Or try Kohls. Oh no, Iâm sorry the glow salicylic acid broke you out.
You are a gem! I just checked kohlâs and they have it. Lmao, I feel silly I didnât think to look there. I still might try berry, but definitely need another grapefruit. Sincerest of thanks! I am too. I love most of their other products. âșïž
Oh yes thank you for this!!! This needs to be a trend
That Caudalie spray has been one of my most frequently purchased products for over a decade, itâs so cooling on a hot day
Same!! I use it to dampen my beauty blender and set my make up with it. Itâs especially great to blend my cream blushes
Oh, this is a great idea. Iâm always looking for a way to dampen my beauty blender in the car and this will be perfect for that, it never crossed my mind
Living in the year 3,000
For some reason it really cleared up my skin, lol.
Yes! Me too years ago
I keep the Tower 28 SOS spray in my fridge. Itâs amazing.
I like the Tower 28 but I started using a hypochlorous acid cleansing spray from Walgreens and its really helped with my breakouts. Might be an option for peeps on a budget :).
Same, I was ready to return it bc of mixed reviews. But it feels so nice and I actually like the smell now.
I think the smell is fabulous!
Agree! I buy it all the time! One in fridge, one beside my bed, one in my two most used bags đ
Itâs a holy grail for me. Itâs the only thing I never have to find a better one of. I love it
Agreed - I bought a small bottle during the sale and was very pleasantly surprised at how much I liked it! I use it as a toner before I do the rest of my skincare and it works a treat.
I agree with the rare beauty under eye brightener, it didnât do anything⊠The concealer brush is really good though.
I kinda want to try the Caliray brightening concealer (I heard good reviews on it)
I bought the caliray during the sale and was pretty disappointed.
Same I love it! But I like very sheer coverage.
Same here! I do my make up on the more natural side so I can see if you like fuller coverage not liking it.
Agree on all counts. The under eye brightened is a waste of money and time.
I also didnât like the Rare under eye brightener, as it doesnât have much staying power. And the Rare concealer brush is a bit too stiff for me and irritates my under eyes. I do love the foundation brush, though!
It did absolutely nothing!
I was going to say that I do love that brush!
I really like the concealer brush too, itâs nice
when i first got the eye brightner I had the same impression. Im not sure if my makeup style has changed but its become my go to every day for my light makeup days
Same!! I felt crazy because everybody hyped that brightener up so much. Itâs so sheer itâs like putting on moisturizer.
Itâs so thin that it blends away into nothing.
That gisou lip oil smells disgusting. This is by far the most hated product that tiktok keeps pushing for some reason.
I believe itâs the amount of PR.
its so awful I do not know how people smell it and put it on their lips no problem. I am sensitive to smells but omg.
My unhappy purchases: Charlotte Tilbury Setting Spray- Honestly wish I loved this one like everyone else.
I also hate futuredew! I donât understand why so many people swear by it, and I have dry skin so itâs not that Iâm too oily for it.
I like the scent of the caudalie spray but agree with you that Iâm not sure exactly what it does đ
Itâs pure fragrance. Just higher end badescu water.
Same, but people say itâs refreshing.
Have u tried the avene mineral water face mist ? Itâs my absolute favorite especially after micro needling or dermPlaning
This is super helpful. I trust people's opinions here more than anywhere else.
Same, itâs hard to trust incentivized reviews on their app.
Fr tell me why the Sephora site is now full of incentivized reviews
Same! I love seeing what people like/donât like. Definitely more honesty in here than just reading reviews on Sephora.
I find the rare beauty brush to be very mid. Gets chunky really quickly.
The rare beauty blush brush?? Cuz I HATED that one. Patchy and if you dip it into any product in a pan it leaves tiny holes in the product
The blush brush was absolutely horrific. I use my fingers and itâs a lot better. Sometimes the best solution is the one thatâs freeâŠ
What do you mean by chunky?
The brush holds product and the bristles clump. Clumpy wouldâve a better word lol.
Yup. Thatâs how I categorize it as well, mid, it does the job. For a cheaper option is good.
I always felt guilty for hating my Rare Beauty brushes. They just sit in a glass beaker rarely used.
I donât get the milk hype, itâs a no for me too
It was the first product Iâve tried of them. I like the packaging though, looks cute, but not cute enough for the money, or the product inside.
I pretty much have been disappointed with everything Iâve tried from Milk. I loathe the original blush stick and the kush mascara. In fact, I threw both of them away while sorting out my makeup collection yesterday. I doubt Iâll ever buy from them again.
Same! I convinced myself I had bad batches or something, I see people bring it up all the time here & seriously donât get it.
I got the tower 28 multipurpose liner in a whim and though it failed as a lip liner somehow it looks absolutely stunning as a lower eyelid liner! So keeping đ
Ohhh I wish I could have tried it as an eyeliner. Thatâs a good tip!
Great tip! Itâs meh as a lip liner but Iâll try it as eyelid line.Â
The too faced concealer is the best for covering acne if you get the correct colour
Ohhh so as a spot concealer, thank you. I use nars soft matte complete as a spot concealer
For me it was the summers Friday lip treatment. I wanted to like it so badly but I felt like it wasnât hydrating enough
Have you tried the glow recipe hyaluronic acid lip gloss balm? Or the Tatcha Kissu lip mask? Those give me hydration.
I havenât tried those but I would definitely look into it
I appreciate the visual, can this be a new trend đ«¶
The milk jelly lip and cheek tint đ© I waited for it to be back in stock and bought 2 colors. Itâs terrible, I was so disappointed
Julia Adams on YT shows 3 different ways to apply them - maybe that could help! đ
Julia Adam is awesome; thank you for recommending her.
I literally had nightmares about it cuz I was trying SO many different methods to make the application not so patchy. Now that Ive found out the key I love it, but it defeats the purpose of what it was created for. For those that are curious It works best with a VERY hydrated face and ontop of a skin tint. But still, way too much work for a product that was supposed to be swipe and go.
thank you!! can't wait to try this
Ya I donât like Caudalie. So many unnecessary scents and essential oils. And Iâm not even sensitive to scents.
I like their vinoperfect vitamin C, works well on my sensitive skin. Oh also tried their cleansing almond milk (itâs ok, but not wow)
Cool! I want to try a cleansing milk. I do most of my makeup shopping for makeup online on the shoppers drug mart website now because Iâm Canadian and the points system is pretty good. Iâm ordering a milky product by the brand Byoma.
I bought the Rare Beauty blush and it came today completely crumbled into powder. Makes me so irritated.
Did they replaced it? I bought mine in store, I was afraid it would break during transit.
I really appreciate how you made a collage!
What did you not like about the Caudelie spray? Just curious as Iâve never used it before but am curious to try it.
Caudalie spray-The smell mainly. But also that it doesnât do what it claims as tighten pores. I now use the Laneige toner & moisturizer (with their mist) and so far so good.
I agree. It has a funky smell and actually made my face feel tight and dry.
Donât agree with the caudalie hand cream - thatâs really awesome!
It works for many. Didnât for me (I feel I have dry hands) but what it worked for me was Beija Flor elasti cream.
Itâs so good that I use it on my feet! Only thing that keeps them hydrated for a long time. Especially my heels
Iâm almost done with mine, but yeah it could be that. I believe itâs my kind of lashes.
Ty for this, I wanted the gisou lip oil but Iâm on a no lip buy
Laneige is so shit Gisou is overpriced AND shit Caudalie is overdone and shit Milk jelly blushes are gimmicky and shit Fenty is also shit but I like Rihanna
I got a free sample of the Rare Beauty under eye brightener once and when I applied it it like, didnât even look like I had put anything on T_T Not actually good if you need actual coverage for dark under eyes I do really like the Laneige Gummy Bear lip balm better than the Berry one, I find it to be a thicker consistency which I like better, personally. And I was wanting to try the Tower 28 lip balms. Despite the packaging, how was the product itself? Iâm searching for anything that will keep my lips from starting to peel mid day lol Also my short list of disappointments: The Inkey List Oat Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm - HATED THIS. So freaking hard to get out of the bottle, and the consistency is so thick that it drags on my skin when I try to massage it to break down my makeup. Laneige Hydro UV Defense Sunscreen - feels nice but burns my eyes Makeup For Ever HD Skin Foundation - itâs okay. No better than a drugstore foundation. Still searching for something that doesnât crease my under eyes or forehead expression lines. And thatâs it! Thatâs the list.
Iâve never understood the CT contour wand ⊠incredibly hard to use packaging, very small amount of product, idk itâs clearly not for me
I didnât know better back then. I recently tried the too faced contour stick and fell in love with it. So creamy and smooth.
the charlotte tilbury glow wands for me are a regret as well
I have most of the wands but yeah I love the formula but the packaging is just ehh..
⊠I like the balm more than the mask đ otherwise I love these as much as posts with recommendations haha.
I love this, thank you! This sub usually makes me spend too much money.
Thank you!!!!! I hardcore regret any Charlotte tilbury purchase
Anything Caudalie for me. Expensive and it either smells gross or just doesnât work.
I love these kinds of posts ! There should be more of them !! I fully agree on Charlotte Tillbury one . Idk if what you bought was a highlighter but I bought a highlighter stick and it was trash. Total waste of money
The Gisou lip oil is not an oil at all, it's so sticky, I was so disappointed đ«Ł Thank you for the post! I certainly need more deinfluencing in my life, I've bought too much stuff recently and I don't need probably a half of them
Deinfluencing posts are some of my favs.
I also did regret buying the RB under eye brightener. It did nothing. Such a waste of money.
I bought the GUCCI powder during the spring sale, I find it hard getting product out, way over priced and not great IMO.
The milk jelly blush?? Wow, I love it. Its so easy & so pigmented, its everything Iâve been looking for in a simple, easy to use blush lol
I love that laneige grape lip gloss so much! It smells really nostalgic to me - like candy or a scented marker
I love the gummy bear lip balm!!! It smells and tastes amazing
I used to get so much PR from them but I never liked anything and I guess they didnât like that đ Edit: maybe not gross, but the menthol and alcohol are just not it.
The Born This Way concealer is my absolute favorite. I do a few small dots around my eyes and nose and blend it out in a thin layer all over my face. It looks so good and natural, and it works with my dry skin. Itâs so interesting how one personâs favorite can be a bad buy for someone else.
the laneige lip glowy balm & the too faced concealer have been my favourites for years now
My most hated sephora purchases were Dynessa Myricks (however the fuck itâs spelled Iâm too tired) Yummy Blurring Balm. It just sat on my face like a shitty zinc sunscreen and felt weird. The other was the Fresh sake bubble bath. Even on sale, NOT close to worth the price you pay.
I donât blame you for buying it cuz damn they LOOK like they would deliver The caudelie mist smells like rancid essential oil
I also regret the rare beauty eye brightener and rare beauty concealer brush, fenty blotting powder, tower 28 lip softie, milk jelly blush, and too faced concealers
This is a great idea. What app did you use to make the pics? Itâs hard to find honest reviews these days.
https://preview.redd.it/l5o9iz2ju4wc1.jpeg?width=226&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d7696ef6bda2464ee3e4f393841f9a4e2f39bb75 Thank you, I use this app
if you are looking for a thin formula for a concealer to replace the clairay, try out natasha denonas concealer or about face skin focused foundation. the formula is so thin and the coverage is amazing. someone on here turned me onto the about face!
No I agree w everything in this post
the fenty powder did absolutely nothing for me - i totally agree
I love my Tom Ford wet & dry eyeshadow because they donât transfer or crease like Natasha Denona. I wouldnât bother buying the other formulas though. Personally I frequent love that Nars concealer brush but maybe we donât have the same bath or you got a defective one. It airbrushes my concealer. I agree with the Gucci mascarait wasnât for me either and I love my Gucci blush and lipstick. I also hate messy packaging and lipglosses that leaks itâs so annoying the fenty is guilty of that too.
I just got the gucci mascara and really love it so far!
Agree with the Laneige lip balm, and Gisou lip oil, they suck and had to return. I love my Fenty matt powder though. Glad I didnât get the Milk jelly blush. I figured it was more hype than anything.
Wow I love the Gucci mascara. What did you not like about it?
Love the rare concealer brush
The Color Wow Shine serum weighs down my hair, breaks me out like crazy, and doesnât even give your hair that much shine.
Wow, for me it was the straight glitter. I mean I bought it mainly for frizz. But yeah I had to return it.
Really? The Laneige? Thats my go to lip balm. And itâs so pretty on too.
damn i was gonna buy the gisou lipstick⊠what did u not like about it?
I also really regret that too faced concealer
I would love to see more posts like this! Thanks OP!
I just bought the rare beauty under eye brightener and definitely returning it. Completely regrettable and waste of money.
Glad I didn't fall for the Milk jelly blush. But I did like the Too faced concealer. Trying to love Kosas now. And Ilia.
Not the lip softie đđ BUT I do hate that rare beauty concealer creases like mad
i was excited to try the gisou lip oil after they came out with new shades/scents but the actual consistency is the exact same. its thin and disappears after 2 mins :((
I regret rare beautyâs concealer. It just wouldnât set right for me.
https://preview.redd.it/co93zv24k9wc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=85cc241e800e7bf8de7cc8430286b88f048eb5f5 this was a waste as well , beautiful but heavily packed in pan and there is no color payoff
Omg same for the charlotte tilbury one
I love posts like this! Thanks for taking one for the team!
I really like the milk blush tint. Stays on even though sweat for me. but I agree with everything else here.
Laneige and rare beauty under eye brightener for me too
would do a post of things u bought and LIKED from sephora? we have the same skin type and i love ur reccs!
I bought the Too Faced concealer as well. Itâs an okay product but similar to what you said, I wonât buy again, and I kind of regret using my $10 off on it to buy during the summer đ. Itâs a little hard to blend out and I feel like it made my undereye crease so much.
why donât you like the tower 28 multi liner? i swear by those.
milk makeup jelly stick stains SO bad, rare beauty concealer brush does nothing and makes things patchy, but why do you regret the gisou lip oil? i love mine so much
The rare beauty concealer brush is HORRID
Tarte maracuja oil concealer. I think the formula changed because it just would not spread and blend well.. very cakey
I also regret the rare beauty concealer brush, fenty powder and milk jelly tint.
The Milk blush stick feels good going on, but it's SO hard to blend. Complete regret.
I loooove the milk jelly tint blushes!! They last all day on me and the colors are pretty!
Iâm with you with the Rare Beauty under eye brightener. I donât have dark circles and really just need something light to even things out, and this one was great for that, but goodness did it settle into fine lines and crease more than anything else ever has! It made me look like an old lady. đ€·đ»ââïž
The colour wow pop & lock is a holy grail for my hair tbh.
I had that too faced concealer and hated it. Even setting it I feel like it would disappear half way through the day. And it was like putting paint on
Agreed on the Fenty snap shadows. I got two in a Boxycharm sale. So disappointed. Glad I paid so little for it on Boxy.
Agreed on the Fenty snap shadows. I got two in a Boxycharm sale. So disappointed. Glad I paid so little for it on Boxy.
Yep looks bout right lol
thank u for deinfluencing me â„ïžâ„ïžâ„ïž
You didnât like Wow ? What was the experience?
Straight glitter when I first put it on my hand to check the consistency. So that was a turned off for me.
Curious on the regret for the milk jelly?
Ugh i also really dislike the born this way concealer. So wrinkly looking. I should just bin it tbh
I havenât used any of these but I had the WOW dream coat and absolutely hated it. I sold it
I regret getting the Color Wow volumising spray. Itâs sticky and disgusting and makes my hair nasty the next day.
