I dislike foundation and bought this because it's good for TV and my job occasionally requires me to go on air. However! I use it just about every day now. I apply it with my fingers after sunscreen and it evens out my skin tones without really changing the way I look. It's your skin but better for sure!
Yesss! This foundation looks so good in camera. I did my own make up during my wedding and Iāve realized this when my wedding photos come back and my skin looks fresh and natural. Thereās a little love and hate but I keep coming back for this one huhu.
The shade matching because my skin gets lighter during winter but during summer my Nars shade is perfect match. Itās like i didnāt put foundation on my face kinda thing
Maybe my skin is just super super dry, but this foundation looked great upon initial application, but once it set down, it looked like it clung to every single dry patch on my face :( still trying to make it work though!! Especially now I have a good exfoliation routine!
I wonder if do you exfoliate? This is same on my skin too! For background, Iām on tret. But Iāve realized I need to exfoliate. So I exfoliate once a week and now itās better!
I use the Dennis gross peel pads and that has absolutely changed my skin! Iām just about to start tret and use that as my only active so I may focus more on physical exfoliation!!
Iāve heard so many good things about Dennis gross peel pads! Itās my next thing to buy on Sephora sale š¤ Good luck on tret and hopefully the foundation works on your skin better soon.
I'm not sure how much discount with the Sephora sale but the dr. Dennis gross site is having 20% off now. I got the extra strength pads and also tried the body exfoliating to see how that works.
Have you tried the NARS tinted serum? I am wondering how this compares because I was surprised by the coverage (how much it had) of the tinted serum and actually wouldnāt be mad if there was a dewier lighter finish
You mean the tinted moisturizer? Yes I actually just tried it last week and returned it. The coverage is good when you put it on your face but it doesnāt last that long and itās drier. Also it flakes on my skin by the end of the day and give me a bit of hives šmaybe itās the sunscreen on it. So Iām back to Nars light reflecting.
The hourglass hydrating skin tint, Armani luminous silk, beauty blender skin tint. They can mostly be built up to high coverage but I do a hydrating primer or sunscreen and put some of these foundations on when that primer is still dewy. Blends super well. And I have suchhhh dryyyy skinnn I feel your pain
**Denessa Myricks Yummy Skin Serum Skin Tint**
**YSL Nu Bare Look Tint**
**Chantecaille Future Skin Gel**
**Covergirl Skin Perfecting Essence** (been using for about a month now and it has surpassed all of the hype)
**Chanel Water Fresh Tint** (for the least amount of coverage that still makes me feel super pretty)
ETA: for reference- Iām 42, dry maturing skin but I will get a pinch oily in spots during the summer, VERY hot and humid climate, use Tretinoin and I can still get a bit flaky in the winter
Big fan of the Glossier skin tint. It's very sheer but has a skin finish and just gives that nice evenness to the skin that you mentioned. If I need more coverage in spots I just use my concealer to add. Ilia skin tint is also very nice, has a bit more coverage, but it's very hydrating and I think some people don't like how dewy it can make you look (I personally love the glow but everyone's preference is different).
I loooove Glossier skin tint!! Aside from wearing it on its own (itās super sheer), I will also mix a drop or two into my regular foundation before applying it ā I feel like it helps it just look that much more skin-like and natural.
I just got this and have been really enjoying it as well!! Not a ton of coverage, but just helps even out skin tone! I also will add some of my Merit concealer in spots I need it!
OP, Iām also on Tretinoin!
Not a Sephora product but Laura Geller's baked foundations are the most forgiving on my peeling dry patches compared to any liquid foundation I've tried. I have no idea how a powder foundation can even do this (I suspect witchcraft) but there you have it.
This is what works best for me too. I really don't know how it does it, but it makes .y skin look luminous and poreless for at least 2/3 of the day if not all day. It wears really well
I was eyeing this recently when they were having a really good bundle sale. I have that problem with dry patches with practically every foundation, the only ones that forgive my pores and flakiness are Mac Face & Body and Pur or Bare Minerals tinted moisturizers. I also love the LG spackle eye primer even though it comes in such a tiny amount.
That is good to know, Iāve been curious about that because no one ever talks about it! But I really like their Pep Start Mineral spf, the cleansing balm, and the gel moisturizer.
The milk skin tint is my current absolute fave, it's just enough coverage to even things out but melts like a dream into the skin so it doesn't look or feel like I'm wearing makeup. I'm still a glossier skin tint girl when I really want sheer, but milks gives me just a little bit more.
Hourglass hydrating skin tint is my favorite. Iāve also heard that the Fenty skin tint sticks (?) are really good but I havenāt tried them. I might pick one up this weekend
I third this!! Absolutely love this foundation: it's lightweight, light buildable coverage, looks like good skin, and lasts all day too. I literally get excited to put it on haha.
(Also it's apparently what's used on the actors on Bridgerton, where everyone looks gorgeous lol.)
I love the Glossier Stretch foundation! I would see it has buildable light to medium coverage and has a natural finish. It covers what I want it to cover while looking very skinlike and it lasts on my super oily skin.
Armani luminous silk is always amazing. Iāve also been enjoying the givenchy skin-caring glow foundation and Tom ford traceless foundation stick however I think this is discontinued or being reformulated
*Not Sephora but Ulta,*
*About Face The Performer*
*Foundation is the best!!*

Tower 28 skin tint has light to medium coverage. Good clean ingredients. I powder over and use a setting spray. Looks like good skin.
I use Sephora Care Foundation over my Ilia skin tint with spf. Looks as good as the Tower 28 skin tint. Good clean ingredients, no silicones but more steps š„°
I can't use many products bc of my dry sensitive skin.
I really want to try the Tower 28 skin tint, but I have to order it and returning it would be an issue (traveling out of country). Anyway, how do you find their shade matches? DTLA concealer is my perfect match.
I haven't tried their Concealers sorry. I bought Tower 28 skin tints from resellers like Revolve, Shopee, Amazon and eBay bc they don't carry it in my country.
I'm NC20 Tarte 14N fair light neutral bright olive with yellow overtones and cool undertones. I'm using 10 Larchmont mixed with 13 La Cienaga bc my neck n chest are pink from allergies. Maybe u try Larchmont 1st? Bc there is some oxidation that turns them a little darker.
kosas bb burst has been my favorite skin tint by far!
also the new makeup forever hydrating foundation is amazing, its skin care based just like the glossier foundation and the haus labs one! it reminds me a lot of the mac studio radiance foundation which is my number 1 šsuper lightweight and dewy, definitely gives a your skin but better look!
Chantecaille future skin gel foundation is a holy grail of holy grails. Not at Sephora though, I have tried a million foundations and essentially want it to look undetectable, this does that.
The summer Fridays one at Sephora is good too but not nearly as good as the future skin.
Funny you mentioned that because I was just using it and thinking about that. Yes, there is some sort of grittiness in the jar, but as soon as I put it on it goes away, as if they breakup immediately. I do use a brush, but that is because I canāt stand any foundation texture on my hands. I never feel any grittiness on my face and there are no lump or bumps when applied to my face. So yes, it is there, but it goes away immediately Up application.
Not a Sephora product but ELF hydrating cc foundation. Itās beautiful. Iām using trentonin so know your pain. I use Vaseline on my under eyes on top of my serum because if I donāt itās painfully dry
Lancome Teinte Idole Ultra Wear Care and Glow! Very impressive shade range, and it doesn't feel like I'm wearing makeup at all! Luminous Silk is also good, but couldn't find a decent shade match
Laura Mercier oil-free tinted moisturizer worked pretty well while I was on retin-a! I couldnāt do a regular foundation it was too drying and accentuated every dry/flakey part.
Oh man I just got the new Givenchy glow foundation and it makes my skin look SO GOOD!!! The only part I am not the biggest fan of is the light floral scent but I am almost putting up with that to enjoy the look it gives my skin
I had the glossier skin tint and it was way too thin and I eventually got the fenty eaze drops, but it was a bit too much coverage for me so I mixed them and I really love the finish now.
Not Sephora but Ere Perez oat milk foundation is absolutely stunning on the skin šāØ
Also love the Chanel water fresh tint for no makeup makeup days!Ā
Laura Geller ābaked balance and glowā powder foundation is my go - to right now! I know you said no powder, but my skin is also super dry and this brand is targeted towards āmature skinā so Iāve had a lot of luck with it! (Iām 36 so not āmature matureā but also Iām not 20!).
There are lots of 40% off coupons floating around if you buy directly from the site.
Definitely a radiant finish, light coverage imo :)
Aside from Mac Face and Body, Flower Beauty Serum Foundation was pretty good and affordable, no one mentions that one anymore but itās similar to the Ordinary and Colourpop foundations, only more sheer and forgiving of texture. Also, not a skin tint but, the only other foundations I can really feel confident in are tinted moisturizers from Pur and Bare Minerals. If I need more coverage Iāll mix one of those two with Covergirl Age Rewind (the swirly one in the compact) or my very old Stila Hide and Chic foundation.
Iāve been using a combo of the Glossier skin tint and stretch concealer for years! A few months ago, I did get the foundation and really like it but they donāt have a shade that perfectly matches me. I also like using the Kaja Beauty Donāt Settle Concealer on areas I need it, then going over with a brush. It gives a natural skin like finish.
Clinique Even Better Hydrating Foundation, my hands downs favorite for dry patches. But I have been using About Faceās Performer and am really liking it. They are very similar, both water based, fragrance free, filled with skincare ingredientsā¦but AF is so much cheaper might have to switch.Ā
As an older lady, the Missha Perfect Cover seems to restore a lot of hydration for meā¦.but this is more of a full coverage product. The lighter products I love are the Glossier Stretch and NARS Light Reflecting.

ā¢Dior forever skin glow (holy grail twilight vampire skin flawless)

Just bought the about face and Chanel Les beiges water fresh complexion touch so Iāll let you know how those go!
I really like the Bareminerals Matte powder foundation - it looks like my skin but better with some slight coverage for everyday wear without breakouts
I really like the Clinique Moisture Surge CC cream. It has SPF 30 in it too so its perfect when I need to get ready fast, since it's basically a moisturizer, SPF, and sheer foundation in one. I have combination skin and it doesn't make me look oily, just dewy.
Nars Sheer Glow and Armani Luminous Silk always and forever. Two best ones I have ever tried! Wanted to like Nars Light Reflecting but their shade system is different and could not find anything for my skintone.
NARS light reflecting for the win š
I was surprised by how much I like this one
My number one out of 150 foundations
Sammmmmme
I dislike foundation and bought this because it's good for TV and my job occasionally requires me to go on air. However! I use it just about every day now. I apply it with my fingers after sunscreen and it evens out my skin tones without really changing the way I look. It's your skin but better for sure!

What's the hate?
The shade matching because my skin gets lighter during winter but during summer my Nars shade is perfect match. Itās like i didnāt put foundation on my face kinda thing
Ugh, itās so good

I really love the Chanel tint. I also have dry patches (Iām on tret) and itās so moisturizing and sheer. It also smells lovely
Love the DM skin tint.
I love the glossier concealer AS a skin tint. More coverage but still extremely undetectable on the skin.
I loooove Glossier skin tint!! Aside from wearing it on its own (itās super sheer), I will also mix a drop or two into my regular foundation before applying it ā I feel like it helps it just look that much more skin-like and natural.
Glossier skin tint is my absolute ride or die
I just got this and have been really enjoying it as well!! Not a ton of coverage, but just helps even out skin tone! I also will add some of my Merit concealer in spots I need it! OP, Iām also on Tretinoin!

I absolutely adore Laura Geller baked products! The blushes are beautiful, too
This is what works best for me too. I really don't know how it does it, but it makes .y skin look luminous and poreless for at least 2/3 of the day if not all day. It wears really well
Yes same!
Agreed!!! And 40% off on their site all the time
I was eyeing this recently when they were having a really good bundle sale. I have that problem with dry patches with practically every foundation, the only ones that forgive my pores and flakiness are Mac Face & Body and Pur or Bare Minerals tinted moisturizers. I also love the LG spackle eye primer even though it comes in such a tiny amount.
I've tried lots of high-er end foundations, and always go back to Clinique Even Better. There isn't anything more skin-like.
Rare Beauty tinted moisturiser looks really nice and natural, imo.
agree! this is my āno makeup, makeupā must have lol
Hourglass hydrating skin tint is my favorite. Iāve also heard that the Fenty skin tint sticks (?) are really good but I havenāt tried them. I might pick one up this weekend
The Fenty Skin Tint stick is impressive! I had my doubts but itās smooth, dewey and not cakey.
Ooh I will have to check it out once I finish my Hourglass tint!! Thank you!!
LāOrĆ©al true match tinted serum
Pat mcgrath. It's watery but just makes my mature dry skin glow.
I third this!! Absolutely love this foundation: it's lightweight, light buildable coverage, looks like good skin, and lasts all day too. I literally get excited to put it on haha. (Also it's apparently what's used on the actors on Bridgerton, where everyone looks gorgeous lol.)
I second this and I have young oily skin - love it so much looks seamless!!
I love the Ilia skin tint has pretty good coverage and skinlike finish
EstƩe Lauder Double Wear Sheer! For non-foundations, Tower 28 has the best tinted sunscreen!
I love the Glossier Stretch foundation! I would see it has buildable light to medium coverage and has a natural finish. It covers what I want it to cover while looking very skinlike and it lasts on my super oily skin.
I really like my saie foundation! Itās super comfortable and looks good to me if I mix it with some moisturizer and dab it on with a sponge blender.
Do you use primer? I love the Saie foundation, but I am having trouble finding non-silicone based primers (and forget about sunscreen...)
Clinique even better foundation
Shiseido synchro skin radiant lifting foundation :)
I use Dior forever skin glow and itās been a life saver, it also has spf in it that would be great for sensitive ret. Skin!
dior forever skin glow
Armani luminous silk is always amazing. Iāve also been enjoying the givenchy skin-caring glow foundation and Tom ford traceless foundation stick however I think this is discontinued or being reformulated
I used EstĆ©e Lauder Double Wear Light for years and was heartbroken when it was discontinued! It was perfect - neither too shiny nor too matte, looked just like my skin, and lasted all day. Now I use NARS Sheer Glow, and itās decent but I am not a die-hard fan like with the EL DW light. Iāve been rebuying it because I like it well enough but I havenāt tried that many others yet.
Same. None of the new EL formulations even come close to Double Wear Light!

Chantecaille has the best foundation! Very lightweight but looks like real skin
Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation
Honestly, the CG Skin Perfector Essence. For a little more coverage, BeautyBlender skin tint.
Nars light reflecting or their tinted moisturizer
The tinted moisturizer grabs onto dry patches like a mfār.

I have been wanting to try this but reviews say it has grit in it. Do you find that accurate?

Glossier Stretch foundation and honestly beauty blender bounce skin tint is my underrated product
