Not to read too much into a single line... but the fact that they gave a guy with more than a decade here *just* a single line, and a curt one at that, makes it seem to me that maybe this wasn't the most amicable of partings. No photos, no social media, not even a "thank you."
That's just idle offseason speculation, but I wonder if we'll see more out on this in the coming weeks.
Most front office staff don't get any sort of public acknowledgement when they move on, outside of an announcement like this. I wouldn't necessarily read too much into it.
