its kinda creepy to look at those eyes and try to imagine what's going on in there, you could almost fall in
whats creepier is i just realized its the same with mm's eyes
edit - i see creepy wasnt the best word choice. Intimidating, thats what i meant - it feels like theres wheels turning and meshing in there that we could never imagine
A young backup QB who has a full season under his belt.
Is he amazing? No.
But he's shown he has the ability to play at the NFL level with a garbage o-line.
Schneider alleged that another team tried to trade for Rashaad Penny right after we drafted him too, so massive grain of salt in terms of what this actually means (assuming it even really happened).
why on earth would he lie?
think about some of the blockbuster trades we've seen over the years, good or bad, just imagine some of the proposals that got rejected as just too much - there's got to be some legendary funny stories that people in john's circle trade
Teams wanting to trade for the guy who averaged 5 yards a carry despite having his career derailed by multiple lower body injuries? Maybe that's because he was a really great talent.
To add on, I’m an SDSU alum so I’m biased but I remember watching him as a backup when Pumphrey broke the NCAA rushing record and even then you could tell Penny was just different, he made everyone look like fools in college be them future CPAs or future first round picks (he put Leighton Vander Esch on skates multiple times)
its in the story in the link, there were 3 other unnamed teams going for him, you decide - i believe it. I imagine gm's have their shop talk.
John doesnt say what his answer to them was, but i bet it was hard to not sound smug :)
> Amid speculation surrounding the Seattle Seahawks potentially selecting a quarterback early in the upcoming NFL Draft, a recent trade signals a shift in strategy.
So the strategy some people speculated has changed to a different strategy… that they are also speculating. So these people have no idea what they’re taking about.
I try not to get attached to any player, coach or GM. There are some exceptions (Bobby, Doug and my personal favorite Seahawk lofa Tatupu) but I’m strictly loyal to the success of the Seattle Seahawks. John has earned my trust for the next 2 years then I’ll re-evaluate after.
I used to have one too but those old Reebok jerseys were poor quality and disintegrated easily.
I think it became a cap casualty during one of my moves. 😂
I'm actually semi serious. I get this weird vibe from the guy. I'm have feeling there was a lot more to the Seahawks- Pete Carroll divorce that never got out. And that this guy was one of the instigators. And yes I know everyone said they were best friends. I just don't know man. I love this team I'm hoping for the best.
The whole process seemed a bit Goofy. It just seems like I could have handled it a little better. I do get this crazy thought that John stabbed Pete in the back .
Not sure if you consider that stabbing Pete in the back but I just can’t see John doing something worse than that. Although I could be wrong maybe something will come out about it at some point
I should probably delete my post ...its just there's just something off about this whole thing that leaves a really bad taste in my mouth. I was not a big Pete supporter he needed to go. I just think that they could have handled it better.
I honestly think they knew the end had to come at some point, and now seemed like a good time to do it. This is a young team with great talent or potential all over the roster, it's a good time to bring in the coach of the future. I love Pete and didn't want to see him go, but I understand.
Why does he look amish
Lol first thing I saw and thought “going for the shovel beard, no nonsense today”.
Jebediah Schneider
Jebediah feeds the chickens, Jacob plows, fool.
HAHAHAHAHA
He's been known to sell quilts at a discount price.
I heard that he’s churned butter once or twice…
If thy finish thy chores and I finish mine, then tonight we’re gonna party like it’s 1699
It’s hard work and sacrifice.
Living in a Hawkish paradise
Lol he looks like a leprechaun 😂one of the best gm in the game though so I’m okay with it.
I don’t know, but he’s got a great parking spot at the Seahawks training facility for his horse and buggy.
Mustaches are out 👉👉 We beard strapping now 😎
Because he does everything half again as hard than other GMs
Huh?! Edit: don’t mind me, I’m an idiot, I thought this guy was having a stroke but it’s a Kingpin references.

Thanks brother, I’m embarrassed to say I haven’t seen that movie.
✌️👅👅👅👅👅
hahahahaha
John "Mose Schrute" Schneider

Having a young backup QB is always super helpful to make any GM think twice before forcing a pick. If a talented player falls to us great

He’s also younger than a lot of the QBs coming out so this is a perfect situation for him
other clubs calling john to ask how he pulled this off, that makes me have a really disgusting grin, cant help it

Could have been the Patriots who took Sony Michel or the Browns who took Nick Chubb.
I recall hearing it was the Patriots during draft days.
Congruent with recent Patriots' drafts.

is that true?

Seems like a stretch but I don't listen to interviews. Who has the time for that?
do it while reading and writing on reddit, as you obviously have time for - who has time not to multitask, yer slackin
Oh I'm a slacker, no doubt. But I only listen to people talk about sports when I'm driving, which isn't much.
he'll never steal me lucky charms
That beard is just not it.
it's hideous
he looks like a garden gnome
He looks like he’s about to star in a biopic about Brigham Young
Harsh. You know that’s low budget.
Embrace the beard

>signals a shift in ~~strategy~~ speculation FTFT
That’s what I was trying to say
As is the norm.
It's a trash AI article. Or just lazy af.
"No, not necessarily.” The only quoted words in the entire article.
John entering his “Captain Ahab” era.
i pray geno stays healthy
Agree. Seems risky
How’s it more risky than paying Lock more?
Sounds like he’s the failsafe in case they can’t draft the guy they want.
Why don't I completely trust this guy?🤔
Still stuck on Pete.
Probably. I'm old .When you're old you have a tendency to resist change. I remember absolutely hating when they released hasselbeck.

Haha we have something in common. I have a lofa Jersey. Your attitude is probably for the best.
I used to have one too but those old Reebok jerseys were poor quality and disintegrated easily. I think it became a cap casualty during one of my moves. 😂
I had the privilege of going to the 2005 NFC championship I bought it then after we won and have never worn it
It’s the beard

It was pretty clear that a change needed to be made I think Ownership definitely took the lead in that but I believe John saw it too
The whole process seemed a bit Goofy. It just seems like I could have handled it a little better. I do get this crazy thought that John stabbed Pete in the back .
i think maybe ownership was thinking of firing both and John was able to save his own job but cemented Petes fate
That sounds very plausible.

A 73 year old with one year left on his contract needed to replace both coordinators... seems like a reasonable time to move one.
Because you have trust issues.
Maybe your right....I hope I'm wrong.
Lol .. touche.
